With the south node in Aries in the 1st house (soldier) and the north node in Libra, 7th (love relationship)… well I guess I’d say the bull has turned:

“So you’re going to go blind?”

“Yeah.”

“Is this something you know?”

“Um… yeah. Why? Does it change your mind?”

“No, it’s intriguing to me.”

“Yeah, well I figure it’ll be okay. I intend to have things worked out by the time it happens. I’ll have my house, our house and I’ll have it all memorized. I’ll learn whatever. I’m no dumbass so I’ll learn whatever it is I have to learn. I’ll have myself a seeing eye burrito and I’ll carry a big stick and swing it around.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. I’ll be a cantankerous old bastard swinging my stick around, hitting things. I’m blind! I’m blind.”

I laughed.

“Yeah, it’ll be okay. I don’t think I’ll mind it that much. Would have minded it if it happened when I was young and if it happens too soon it will be a problem but I don’t think it will.”

I didn’t say anything.

“I’ll tell you what I was thinking today,” he said. “About what I am going to do with my life.”

“Okay.”

“Well first, I am going to stick with my plan until I can get to where you. Once I am there, I want to be happy. And I want to be the best man for you that I can possibly be. Know how I was the best soldier? Well now I am going to be the best man. I am going to be the best man for you and try to make you as happy as I can. So that’s it. I will try to be the best man I can and I may be lousy and you may get mad in your veins but I am still going to do this.”

“You are?”

“I am.”
