Sagittarius is associated with religion, Pluto with snakes…

“Yeah, she calls me up when she’s got snakes,” the soldier said. “She sees a snake on her porch, couple of them and she calls me. She’s got a son but she still calls me.”

“Not surprised.”

“And I go over and I get the snakes for her. One time she had a couple snakes and I went over there… I was picking them up, had one on a hook and she asked me if I was going to eat it.”

“Eat it? Oh God.”

“Yeah, she was asking if I planned on eating the snakes and I told her I wasn’t. I told her I’d eaten snake before but I didn’t particularly like it. It isn’t one of my favorite things,” he said. “And she explained she was asking because she heard one or some of the guys call me snake-eater. Hey snake-eater. I’ve heard them call you that, she said.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah. So I told her that was an affectionate term for a Special Forces guy. If you like them, you call them a snake-eater but we don’t actually eat snakes. Well I am sure that many of us have eaten a snake, but you know. That’s not why they call us snake-eaters. It’s because we’re mean enough to eat a snake.”

“I see.”

“So anyway that’s her. That’s what she’s like. She’s an old lady and she thinks things like that and I am a younger man who takes care of her snakes when she’s got them. She’s from church. It’s a hometown church and this is what we do. Well it’s what I do. I get snakes off the porches of old ladies houses if they ask me to. I just don’t see how I could say no.”

“Me neither.”

“Nope. But I’m not going to eat the snakes, she’s crazy.”
