The Soldier’s Imaginative Storytelling: Jupiter in Sagittarius

Astrology in real life

piratePisces rising with ruler Jupiter in it’s own sign (Sagittarius) in it’s own house (9th) can tell a story, make no mistake.

“P, come here,” he said. “I want to show you this.” He was holding a small black case with metal trim. Sort of a small attach© case.”

“Yeah, what’s in there?”

“Open it.”

I unhooked the clasps, lifted the lid and it was full of cash. Coins, that is. “What is this?” I asked.

“That’s my treasure,” he said. “Doesn’t that look like a treasure to you? Like maybe a pirate lost it or something?”

“Well, yeah.”

“Well this is how and where I keep my change. I do it because it makes me think of you,” he said.

“How?”

“Well you know how I’m always saying I wished we’d met when we were kids? Real kids. Little kids, like maybe 8 and 10.”

“Yeah.”

“Well we’d have been friend for sure and can you imagine if I found something like this when I was 10 years old? I’d have been so happy. I’d have been dancing in the street with this much money. Look at it, P!” he said, pouring the coins through his fingers. “Boy, I’d have been a pig in slop with all this and you know the first thing I’d do… well I bring it over to your house! I wouldn’t tell anybody else, you know. I gotta tell P!”

I laughed.

“Yeah. So I’d have my treasure and I’d be sure it used to belong to some old dead pirate so I would run all the way over to your house carrying it so I could show it to you. P! P! Look what I got! We’re rich!”

I laughed manically.

“Yeah, and you’d have come out and you’d have been impressed. And we’d have done something with that money too. We’d have gone somewhere. We’d have done something.”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know. But whatever it was I bet it would have been exciting. We’d have gotten a thrill for sure. Shoot! With this kind of fortune? You’d have been turning cartwheels and I’d have been jumping up and down. Cause this is just how we are, P. We’re both like this. We like adventure, especially the kind you get off a dead pirate.”

Growing up in Honduras, my life was an adventure everyday and that is how I saw things too….I still see life in this way and it is frustrating for me at times because I know from whence I came and not all got that kind of life. I have a feeling I know what the soldier is talking about. We still have alot of old pirates around down there in Latin America and if you sit with them for a minute, you will hear some tales….most of them actually true!, which makes it even more exciting!!

My good friend who still lives down there, we reminisce of the time when we had built our own cave out of the ground…on the side of a mountain…part of it was already started naturally for us, but we saw it and we immediately both knew it was going to be our adventure. With this same friend, we also took a goleta (small village fishing dugout with a lawn mower engine) all the way across 42 kilometres of deep water just to see the islands….we were only 14 at the time….I can’t believe some of the stuff I have done like that….makes me feel so lucky….we had so much fun!!!

If you are anything like I imagine you to be….and my guess is you are…..you would have had a blast and that is the part he wishes he had shared with you. That is so darn sweet and speaks volumes of how he feels about you……

Yeah, thanks. He’s a dreamer. He wants us to have met in 1st grade when the made you (in my case) or let you (in his case) take a nap on the floor on a towel in the middle of day. He says he’d be lying on his towel telling me, “Shh, P, we’re s’posed to be sleeping.

I had some pretty serious adventures myself, which no one would go one with me because they claimed I was CRAZY. The soldier assures me he’d have gone with me and I know he would have.

We’d have been like those kids they caught who were 6 to 7, went to the bus station intent on going somewhere exotic to marry.
