This is from about fifteen years ago. I was talking to my sister who is also an astrologer, and psychic on top of that, when her husband came in the room.
“Elsa’s all pissed off because people don’t think she’s real.” I snorted because it sounded funny when she said it. “Yeah, I’ve been trying to explain to her there’s nothing she can do.”
“Nothing?” I asked.
“Very little,’ she said. “And whatever you do won’t last. I should know because I know you. I’ve known you my whole life, we grew up in the same room and I have trouble remembering you’re real myself.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
She shook her head. “No. I forget all the time but then you come around and start talking and I remember.”
I snorted again. “I see. So is that it? As soon as I stop talking delusion kicks in?”
“Pretty much,” she said.
“Oh, well no wonder I talk so much.”
“Yeah, you should write a book. Then when someone does this you can just hand it to them.”
“Does what?”
“Has you confused with a flake.”
“Oh.”
Do people mistake you as a flake?

I don’t know if anyone thinks I am a flake…but I don’t think so.
I’m always happiest when I’m the flakiest. I like being a flake. I’m a born hippy. Pisces Sun/N.N./Venus in the 11th…Scorp moon/mars in the 7th.
And I, too, have experienced many times in life when I felt that I was completely invisible, even to my own family and friends. But especially, when driving.
So to say, Neptune veils its carrier. It’s a protection for the truth – and for the carrier…a kind of immunity, I call it the magic cape.
Thanks for this, Conny! With a natal Moon/Neptune conjunction & Neptune semi-sextile Mars/Mercury & ASC, this makes the most sense of my experience than anything I’ve come across! 
You know, I have the opposite problem. I pretty much AM a(benign)Pisces flake, but people always mistake me for a conservative, solid person (my Virgo Rising, maybe?). Strangers have always asked me to hold important things for them, watch their babies, etc. while they run out to get something they forgot, etc… they tell me I’m the one person in the room they knew they could trust – & this without our exchanging anything more than a glance & a quick “Hello”! I do have a strong Saturn pretty close to an angle… could that be another reason this happens?
Oh yeah, people totally mistake me for a flake, unless they imagine I’m something else they’re projecting onto me. Really, it can be just about anything. Neptune conjunct ASC. Sometimes that cape can be magical, but often it’s just frustrating.
People think me more & more as a flake. Outwardly, I act flaky. Inwardly, I am often berating myself. So yeah, I don’t like to be seen as a flake. But, many other people are starting to think so, in terms of submitting work at least lol.
I am a flake! Sometimes people see it sometimes they dont (pis asc trine nep). I can be quite bolshy and opinionated at times (venus in aries, mars in 9th) so those who see that side assume i’m not. But i am.
i don’t know. sometimes, i think. the roomies call me “the hippie” and it gets old. i’m so not living in the sixties. though some of the philosohy i’m rather fond of, a lot of it’s way too self indulgent. it depends on which aspect you think of.
and what’s a flake.
i always think people will assume that when i start talking astrology, though 
People mistake me for a lot of things. I have been called a flake more than once, but when I asked why, the accuser has had no reason for it. Which seems pretty flaky to me…
I’m usually mistaken for “someone who works here.” 
Flake, though? Not so much. Even on my ditzy days.
How come all the sis stories are from times past, anyway?

Dear Elsa,
People with Neptune on the angles or linked to personal planets in their chart, are able to carry the truth into this world without being hindered (since Neptune rules the 12 House and the unconscious).
