Pluto, Intense Pain and Healing

August 13th, 2007 @ 6:56 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

si jointI have to go get the needle stuck in my si joint today. The pain is exquisite I feel unnerved and disturbed in advanced. They stick that needle where it hurts the most… it’s like being a kid and going for your first pap smear times a million!

My doctor is skilled and emotionally sophisticated. I can’t imagine having to deal with this if he were otherwise. It’s a very strange experience though.

Imagine being awake and aware during your surgery and directing the knife as it cuts you because this is exactly what this is. You have in concert with the surgeon so that he can hurt you as much as possible for the purpose of healing. It’s a purely Plutonian experience. Can you relate?

Guess I can, but I´m not sure if I want to. I wish for you though that you both find that point of maximum pain real fast and have the whole thing done with asap. I´m glad I´m not with you on that, but I´m keeping my fingers crossed and my wishing-well flowing for you.

Kundrie – thanks. You know it’s very strange. He actually probes around with that thing for as long as I can stand. At least five minute of angling and re-angling. The needle is tiny and very sharp. I can feel it exactly. It’s like pain on the head of a pin on the head of a pin except the area of pain or inflamed whatever is larger than what the needle can effect with one squirt, so it’s poke, squirt… feel around until I yelp and then hold still, squirt… feel around until I wince… hold still, squirt. And it’s deep. Oh my God it’s deep in my body. This procedure is really out of this world.

can relate, sort of. i’ve had some severe problems with my teeth and a phobia of dentists – especially the ones who don’t listen when i tell them that i really do need twice the normal dose of freezing, because that’s just how my body is. it was an enormous relief to find my current dentist who is, as you describe your surgeon, “skilled and emotionally sophisticated.”

in fact, that describes him perfectly. :)

silverfoot – well I’m back and when I say “ow” during this procedure, he said, “I’m sorry,” and you can tell he means it. I am very lucky with docs. Always seem to get one with compassion…. of course if I get one who lacks this I FIRE them!! :-0

I feel this in relationships…not just with SO’s but friends, family everyone. It’s a sensitivity to everything. I need lots of down time to heal from it all….no scorpio or 8H…but several key pluto aspects.

I hope you are doing well.

Not the same thing, but related…I recently did a 20-hr. women’s self-defense class (with padded assailants) and it really felt Plutonian like this. Especially toward the end, where we’re all actually requesting our worst fears be enacted so we can fight back head on…it was kind of surreal to watch everybody inviting their worst fears in, one after another, and then knocking them down…

Next week I’ll be doing panchakarma, an Ayurvedic deep cleansing process, which is meant to heal by inducing lots of purging in unpleasant ways I normally wouldn’t go for, except I have big health problems. So, again with the asking for something unpleasant in order to heal.

I feel like a testament to transits lasting much longer than the exact hit, I swear. Pluto is four degrees past my Sun, not hitting anything else anytime soon, and it looks like I’m doing the most intense Plutonian purgings at the end of the Pluto in Sag transit.
