Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra (With Mars Involved): When You’re Hot You’re Hot!
Astrology in Real Life
The soldier called me up, pissed. When he’s pissed he threatens to kill people, bump heads, smash things, etc. I have learned this is just talk.
‘So yeah, it’s a problem you’re having,” I said calmly. “But I can probably fix it.”
“What?” he said before he grumbling some more cuss words.
“Gimme the name. The name of who you need… I’ll google and find them.”
More swearing.
“The name? I need the name please,” says Libra.
“Oh yeah,” he said finding his manners.
He rattles off the name and I type it in.
“It’s here. Want this number?”
More threats of murder and mayhem.
“Okay, never mind. I’ll call them.”
I reached for my other phone and dialed the number with him going off in my ear. “Uh huh,” I said. “Uh huh.”
“I mean it P. I ought to knock the … out of the guy. I ought to…”
Someone picks up the phone in my other ear. “Hello?” I want to answer but I am not a Gemini and can’t have two conversations at once so regrettably I hang up on him. It’s that or have the soldier go break someone’s nose.
‘This number is good,” I tell the soldier. ‘Someone picked up. There is someone there who can probably help you; do you want to write it down?”
“Give me the &**^%$#$ number,’ he said. ‘I’ll call the bastards.”
I rattle off the number and we clash as always. I just say the number, he likes to repeat it in increments to verify and we both get frustrated. This is not the first time this has happened.
“Okay, just say it the way you say it,” he said.
I rattled off the nine digits and he clicked off to call. Five minutes later he called me back.
“Okay, P. That number was good.”
“Really? Well that makes me wonderful, doesn’t it? I save lives. I’m a hero! I am a HERE-OH!”
We both snorted and he went back to work.
When you get pissed off do you express it? Where’s your Mercury?

It’s definitely expressed (Mercury in Aries and Mars in Gemini – double dose), though rarely to the person who pissed me off (Moon in Libra…I don’t like being mean or possibly hurting someone’s feelings)…I rant & rave for awhile, but since I have Aries Sun, I often soon forget it. Unless it is a grave situation (where someone has ticked me off or hurt me to the core), in which case, I am like the proverbial elephant who never forgets (Moon conj Pluto).
not usually (it’s in taurus.) i tend to be speak calmly.
but the uranus opposition periodically has me blow my top, so to speak. scorpio kind of gives it a mean bite if i’m not careful.
(they’re both in square to saturn so i have to be careful about bottling up too much. it’s helpful to have outlets for anger that don’t involve me opening my mouth.)
mercury in scorpio. I can be pretty explosive or I can be very calm and exacting. It depends on the situation. Its much worse if I feel calm. If I explode I am over it as soon as I am done.
Oh yes. I get very, very angry. I want to throw things and yell and stomp around.
Mostly I just vent. Loudly. With a lot of swearing. And then, after five solid minutes of stewing, I’m okay.
My Mercury is in Virgo, but I think maybe it is more my Moon trine Mars? I don’t know.
I have Mercury in Taurus opposed Uranus. Like Wyrdling, both are squared Saturn! My anger usually dissipates very quickly as long as I am not cornered. I usually feel a little internal vibration that acts as a signal. My signal to count to 100 as I’m walking around the block practicing my breathing exercises, LOL!
My Mercury’s in Scorpio too. Usually I’m pretty calm when I get angry, mainly because if someone’s actually managed to get me angry then I’m probably out for blood. Generally I’m able to get away and simmer down before I do something I’d regret. On those rare moments where I actually do go off, its quite an explosion.
Mercury conjunct Saturn in Aries, square Cappy moon. I see angry explosions as a sign of personal weakness. I do express my anger, but always in a calm and controlled manner. Someone has to push me very hard to get me to explode (Taurus Mars). One of my nastiest power trips is to remain calm while baiting someone else to explode in anger, then I get to feel superior. Guess that’s my Scorpio rising.
Stephanie – I think that’s called passive aggressive.
“threatens to kill people, bump heads, smash things”(blow them up, yeah!) *lol* Sounds very familiar! Usual rotten day rotten mood cleansing routine…(Mars conjunct Mercury in Taurus)and I really enjoy getting explicit.
A friend of mine who knows me well once stated that as long as I rave like that, everything is still ok, but when I get quiet, things get dangerous.
lol..that was a great story!!!
when i get pissed I kinda get the same way as Soldier…I have merc conj sun in aries…
Mercury in Cap. I stew, curse them out in my head and calm down after a couple hours, maybe the next day. I might forgive but i won’t forget.
I’ve noticed recently that I get angry, I feel like yelling or arguing but then I step back a re-evaluate the situation, to see if it’s worth the yelling. Most times I just turn around and walk or storm off to avoid a real masacre. Mercury conjoined Saturn in Sag in the 11th. Those two only have one other strong aspect opp. chiron, and everything else seems very light. I suppose Saturn curtails my Mercs desire to rant/preach whenever I’m angry, choosing only the most important situations.
The soldier and I are copecetic as far as anger goes. I rant and rave almost constantly, which is a real drag sometimes (even for me). But if I’m not ranting all the time, I’m miserable, snappish, and downright rude! So I figure it’s better for me to just let fly when the mood strikes so I’m easier to get along with when I’m not. Capice?
I figure that’s more a function of my Mars, which touches almost everything in my chart and which I don’t know what to do with, than my Mercury, which is fairly well-behaved even if it is in drama-queen Leo. Merc in Leo conjunct Sun and Saturn, semi-square (?) Mars, Venus, Pluto conjunction.

Not nearly enough.
My mercury is in Virgo. It’s very possible that I am contemplating the exact, perfect way to express the anger.
It’s also squared by Saturn and Neptune. Mud.
