Mars Conjunct Mercury Tries To Deal With a Slow Reincarnated Taurus
Astrology in Real Life…
The soldier, daydreaming…
“Yeah, I can’t wait to get out to the desert and get me my burrito to ride.”
“Burro?”
“It’s burrito in Spanish. They named the food after the animal. Anyway, you can ride one with me, P?”
“Are you kidding me? I said I’d go to the desert but I will not ride a burrito! I wouldn’t be caught dead on a burrito. I’m sorry. I like to ride a machine, not an animal. They’re too slow for one thing, plus I feel bad.”
“Feel bad? Why?”
“Well why am I sitting on this poor animal? Sitting right on it’s back? No thank you. I’d rather walk alongside.”
“Ride.”
“Walk.”
“Ride.”
“Ride a machine.”
“Then I guess you’ve never been in the Grand Canyon,” he said.
“Yes I have. But I went in a plane. You know. I flew around in a machine, my preferred mode of transport, on a blind date no less. I sure would not be interested in riding some poor sweating animal on a narrow ledge looking at the butt of another sweating animal. I can’t imagine a worse predicament then being stuck on burro so just get this straight. You? Burro. Me? Well I have a Scarabeo. You ride your burro, I’ll ride my scooter and I’ll see you when you get there.”
“Good thing this isn’t the Colonial Days,” he said. “If it were we couldn’t go anywhere because you won’t get on an animal.”
“Well we don’t have to worry about that because this is not the Colonial Days and although I guess you were alive back then and what not, I on the other hand am from this era so I don’t think like that. You’re in this lifetime now, you know. But fine with me if you want to ride a burro and time travel. Have your fun but for Godsakes don’t expect me to play along. I am from the Modern Age. And I am new to this living thing so you’ll just have to deal with my lack of historical perspective, okay? Me on the bike. I’m on the bike. That’s a Nick Lowe quote. Nick Lowe, the Jesus of Cool, no offense. He’s another modern person, okay? We’re machine folk, I guess you’d say and we have no problem with that.”
What is your preferred method of transport? Where’s your Mercury?

i’m not so picky on the how. i just prefer to be driving. or walking. in control. (that’s the aries sun talking
as long as what i’m looking at is pretty. and comfy
(mercury/9th/taurus)
i’m ok with trains and planes because you can see stuff you wouldn’t from the road, but i’d still rather be the driver.
My own two feet, mercury con. mars in sagitarrius in the 9th. I do like bike riding, but am scared a little still (of traffic and my clumsiness) and am really scared to death of driving.
I love the freedom of walking, of being in control of my direction and not having to depend on someone else. The bus does come in pretty handy for work and what not though, but work is walkable as well and I always make it a point for it to be, if I can. I’ve been able to do that for the last 4 years.
I bike. I am scared to learn how to drive, although now I am 30 I’d like to learn. Everyone says ‘you bike in this city, how hard could it be to learn how to drive?’
But in N.America people take for granted you learn at 16, and that’s it. I haven’t.
On different level, I’ve had recurring dreams that I’m driving a car since I was about 8 years old. Part of me thinks that if I can do it in a dream a million times, surely I could learn in this life.
I am beginning to wonder if I had a crash in a former life. I can’t justify this fear!
Mercury in Taurus/4th
In the desert, riding a burrito. Ha ha! I totally pictured the soldier riding a wrap or Oscar Meyer converted to Taco Bell mobile.
My preferred (or most used) method of transport is/are my feet! I can’t drive, I like bikeriding, I got new rollerblades but don’t know how to use them.
Transport I’ve liked in the past includes: golf carts, tuk tuks, the back of a tractor, the back of a truck, horse, elephant, green bus in Mexico City (merely for the color and ability to observe people..)
One thing I noticed is that your experience in the car changes with whose car you are in. I remember the feeling of freedom when my brother simply switched turns driving with my dad (he speeds, keeps the windows open). It’s an incredible experience driving in the car with your friends especially when they have their music on. The freedom of a road trip or day trip. I feel like the reason I would be motivated to learn how to drive is to be able to listen to music on the road alone or with my friends.
Thank you Dina…the image of myself driving with the windows down and music blaring is inspiring. Soon, soon!
I doesnt really bother me the mode of transport I like them all and I like to take my time (unless im in a rush) However I actually like being driven as opposed to being the one in control because I just like daydreaming and thinking about life while watching the view goes by. I also like driving in peace listening to music than talking to whom im with because I like to space out and have a moment.
Ive always wanted to ride a motorbike though or hop on the back of one with some hot sexy guy (Mercury: 8th/libra & Mars conjunct Neptune in Sag)
I like anything I can control. I really like driving a car a lot (never driven a motorcycle, but I have ridden one. One of the most fun traveling experiences ever). I like riding a bike too, but not uphill (defeats the purpose for me; it gets turned into exercise when all I want to do is enjoy the scenery).
Mercury in Virgo conjunct Venus, with my Leo sun in the 7th.
Wow, how many people who read here can’t drive a car?! *raises hand*
I have to say it’s not because I’m afraid of driving, though. It’s more inertia than anything – I’ve survived this long without driving, thank you very much, why should I learn now? (Stubborness gets me into more trouble than I’d like to admit.) I need to learn soon, though. The city where I live is almost impossible to get around in without a car – very little public transportation and a very, very spread-out area. Not driving is limiting me in very uncomfortable ways anymore.
I prefer to be chauffered around by my honey and absolutely hate the bus. Blech! I would rather walk than that!
Mercury in Leo, obviously.
Mercury in Cancer in 9th – Mostly I prefer to drive myself, unless the weather is bad, than not so much (would rather my husband drive then).
I do not like to “carpool” because my schedule is so tight, I need total control. Rush hour driving is pretty stressful around here, so I listen to my favorite d-jays in the morning, because they make me laugh, and then there is less chance of me giving someone the finger, lol.
Oh this is a hard one!
It really is a tie between planes/cars/bikes
I think the most inspiring one for me would have to be airplanes. I always make sure to get the window seat and I can never get enough of looking out at the earth/sky/clouds.
I do love cars, too, though, and have always preferred long road trips to short trips. I prefer to be the passenger, though.. so I can daydream and look out, etc.
Cycling though, is great too… feeling the wind against you and the workout that you get.
Mercury conjunct Mars Pisces

Anything that has four points on the ground . . . my pickup or a horse. I’ve had bad experiences w/two-wheelers. Fell off a bicycle when I was 12, got all tangled up in it & broke my leg. Drove a Honda 50 right smack into a ditch . . .
yes, I did get back on bicycles again – used one to ride to work when i lived in Tucson! oh yeah, Mars/Mercury in Scorpio.
