I was talking to a pal about a gal in my sphere. I think this conversation has to do with Saturn’s transit through my 7th house.

“Yeah, I like that gal. I do like her, she’s very smart and we obviously have things in common. However I don’t think I am going to pursue a friendship with her,” I said.

“Why not?”

“Well she’s just… she’s just so erudite. Is that how you say that word?” I asked. “Is that the word I want?”

“Erudite? Yes, that’s how you say it and that’s word you want,” she said.

I laughed. “Well good. Thanks for helping me with that. See, I think about going to have lunch with her but I think it would just be so much trouble. I would have to find a way to culture myself like a pearl. That’s it. I’d need to wear pearls to eat lunch with this woman which of course I don’t have. I would look so stupid wearing pearls. I’ve tried it.”

“No, I don’t think pearls would suit you,” she said.

“Yeah, I just have a hard time being fancy. I can do it but it’s such an incredible bother. And there is my mouth to consider as well. I would have to watch it. Do they make pearls to decorate a person’s mouth?”

She laughed.

“Because I am going to need some of those as well. I don’t know. Do I want to go to lunch if I have to do it with my mouth full of pearls? Probably not. Once, I could manage it but beyond that I think it would be too big a job me. But this does not mean I don’t like her because I do and considerably. But I’m just going to have to like her from afar, I guess. And maybe we can be actual friends next life when I may be born with a naturally pearly mouth.”

Are there some gaps too wide to try to bridge?
