Pluto, Scorpio, Pregnancy, Death, Rebirth, Motherhood and Bob Dylan
Ask the collective…
Yesterday I was talking to a pal about this pregnancy… it’s his wife having the baby and I told him I felt a woman has to die to give birth. The woman dies and is reborn as a mother as her child comes into this world.
And if you think this strange, just try to find a woman with a child who tells you the experience did not impact her. Find me a woman who says she is the same person going in as she was coming out the other side of this odyssey.
And this is a Pluto / Scorpio concept of course. That birth and death are inexplicably linked so on that note, check this from John Townley’s profile of Bob Dylan.
Townley writes:
“…And a final look at that solo water Mars afflicting Sun and Jupiter might come from what else happened under that aspect the day he was born: the famed Nazi battleship Bismarck unexpectedly sunk the H.M.S. Hood with a single shot in the Denmark Strait with appalling loss of life (1416 sailors), and 5000 people drowned in a sudden flash flood on the Ganges. The price of incoming talent on earth, perhaps?”
Very interesting…
Do you feel something must die for something to be born?

Well . . . in my extended family this year we’re two for two – Two deaths and two births. Plus we have two weddings – my niece & nephew both turn 30 & are getting married this year. This may show up more where Pluto/Scorpio is a strong family theme, so nobody panic!!!
The week when my grandmother died, my family found out that my sister in law is pregnant. Can’t get more obvious than that.
I haven’t personally experienced this belief.
I was born a week after my grandfather died, but I otherwise haven’t thought of the in-out concept that directly.
HowEVER, I myself almost died unexpectedly giving birth (totally uncomplicated until afterwards, then started losing a ton of blood), and had the whole “okay this is it, I’m never going to know my child, here I go” thought run through my mind, so I especially experienced this Scorpio thing when I “came back to life” to be a mom. Interesting to read.
