On Projecting Your Shadow and Fighting For the Right To Be An Individual
Ask the collective
I was talking to Ben last night about people who don’t like me, who as group have become one of my current fascinations. And I wish I’d have done this long ago because it’s opened a whole new world. Ben is a Scorpio with an Aquarius rising and an Aries Moon, all of which is obvious in this.
“Well Ben, their lives are unlived and now they’re mad at me because I live mine. There is no other reason to become so infuriated at someone out in the world who has never done a thing to you. Why else? Why attach all this fury to me? If a person was out living their life, they would have no time to concern themselves with mine. It would be the last thing on their mind.” Continue reading On Projecting Your Shadow and Fighting For the Right To Be An Individual

Slaughter: Horror at Sony’s depraved promotion stunt with decapitated goat
From the Daily Mail, GLEN OWEN and RHODRI PHILLIPS write:
Electronics giant Sony has sparked a major row over animal cruelty and the ethics of the computer industry by using a freshly slaughtered goat to promote a violent video game.
The corpse of the decapitated animal was the centrepiece of a party to celebrate the launch of the God Of War II game for the company’s PlayStation 2 console.
Pluto (death) in Capricorn (the Goat).
Yikes!

Astrology and Predicting Violence In Relationship: Mars in Synastry
Astrology in Real Life…
Dharmaruci of ASTROTABLETALK, writes on the “violence erupting in nature” blog:
We’ve all got violence in us given certain conditions. We also have a civilized veneer that disguises it from ourselves. So we need football, we need violent computer games and films, it gives some sort of expression to it. None of us are beings of light. We probably need the occasional war as well.
I agree with him. And astrology can tell you who is most volatile and when they’re most likely to go off. Take model, Naomi Campbell. She has Mars square Pluto and sometimes she’s just going to blow. And if you tracked her you could tell via her transits when she was especially short-tempered but I still don’t think you could predict her behavior and I’ll explain.
It’s as if she’s a live wire. And if you come along and happen to have planets in your chart that aspect hers… well she could go off on you, like you’re a match to her bomb. And I can attest to this…
My ex, the AMF was a painter and he routinely brought attractive naked women into his place so he could paint them. I never blinked an eye. It just didn’t bother me.
On the other hand, some gal so much as talked to the soldier and I was willing to fight not her, but him… if not to the death, then at least until someone was bloody! How can that be?
Well the AMF had Mars in Libra, conjunct my own. So we were both interested in the pursuit (Mars) of art (Venus), and it was also very easy to align our energy. We both looked out for the other (Libra) and had very little conflict.
On the other hand, the soldier has his Mars square mine which is an abrasive aspect and consequently I was willing and highly motivated (Mars) to beat him to death with a helmet and smash his motorcycle for dancing with another girl for one minute. And further, I have similar feelings today. I can’t help it. I literally can’t help my response to his stimulation.
So this is how profound and powerful synastry is in astrology. And if you are wondering about the potential for violence in relationship, just look at the natal chart for the potential and the aspects to Mars between charts because they will tell the story.
Have you ever noticed this kind of disparity in the way you relate to different individuals?

Astrology Today: Grand Cross in the Mutable Signs
My eye on the sky
Cartooning is an interesting form of writing. You have to get your message across very succinctly. But there is an even shorter form.
Do you have someone in your town… a business or in this case a church who maintains an outdoor sign which a changing message that is snappy? Most towns do and we are fortunate here to have a several very good sign writers.
So today, I drove by the church with the good sign, it’s two-sided and whatever it says is always clever on one level or another. So today’s sign said:
“WANT TO WORRY LESS?”
I drove by (on my scooter) and glanced back to read the back side:
“PRAY MORE”.
Jupiter laughed at that.
Here’s the grand cross in that:
Worry is Virgo, praying is Pisces so there is that opposition.
Also involved in today’s cross is Venus (your desire… less worries) and Jupiter (the sign is in front of a church)!
I have no intention of going to church but if I ever did, I would pick the one with the amusing sign, I think. Or the one with the most songs and the least rules.
How about you? How do you, did you, or would you pick a church?

Astrology Today: What’s Up Is Down and What Is You Is Them
My eye on the sky…
With the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky, I am very aware of the hall of mirrors out there. Projections abound. It’s like it’s inside-out day, everywhere you go, never mind whatever you try to fix on as real, erases on you. It’s all so horrible and then again, maybe notïŠ
Maybe it’s great?
And one of the things that has occurred to me is how less is more and more is less. And if that makes no sense to you, just think about having more, more, more, more and more. After awhile you’re going to yearn for less. Who needs 1000 best friends, anyway?
So anyway, if less is more and more is less, it follows that it makes no difference what you have and I’ll give you an example:
What if you like love and sex a whole, whole lot like I do? And what if in one relationship you have tons of great sex, but mediocre love and in another you have copious amounts of love but much less sex. Does it really matter which of these relationships you are in?
What do you think?

On Writing Advice For Sagittarius: Mutable Signs Mutate!
Astrology In Real Life…
My editor HQ regarding today’s advice the Sagittarian blog:
“Edited fairly lightly. I actually added punctuation here and there, but only when absolutely necessary (I thought). If it’s too much, just revert away…
For some reason, this post read as more “breathless” than usual – there were a few run-ons and the like. So I had to punctuate just to make sense of it. But I figured you were writing like that on purpose, since the post was about Sadge/travel/moving fast. I think all your posts about Sadge read as “fast” so I tried to leave that vibe in there.”
I responded, “Yes… exactly right impression. You know astrology these days, HQ!”
“Haha u should blog about this…”
I am highly mutable and I do change my manner when writing to specific signs. With Sagittarius, I figure they’re moving so I’d better. I always imagine them checking my blog on their cell phone from an airport while moving in the line towards the gate to board their plane… with one carry on bag and nothing checked! You don’t want to bog a person like that down. It’s just not right.
And then the next question will be from a non-Sadge and invariably I have to down shift. I do the same in real life. Don’t the rest of you mutables (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces) do this?
And are you primarily fixed, mutable or cardinal?
Double Sagittarius Man Taken With Aquarius Woman: Uranus Transit
Dear Elsa,
I have met someone online who appears to be an absolutely perfect match. She is an Aquarius. I feel so taken away by these overwhelming emotions she is bringing to my heart. Can I be sure about her or should I be reserved?
Sagittarian
Canada
Dear Sagittarian,
I don’t think you have a choice but to feel both overwhelmed and reserved. Because with your Sun conjunct Neptune (permeable) and Venus opposite Saturn (austere), this is your nature! But I still think I can help by offering an outside perspective, which is always valuable to Sagittarius. So here goes:
You can be sure of nothing! Especially now when there is great drama in the sky affecting all of us – and anyone who purports to be able to tell you how it’s all going to come out can be considered to be confused.
Particularly in your case – a double Sagittarian with a Gemini rising – you are in the middle of a massive Uranus transit – which translates as, you are in a period where things can and will happen very quickly and when you least expect them. Like this gal you met!
Being as she is an Aquarian, she is acting as an agent of the universe and your best tack would be to learn all you can. She is here to liberate you, I can tell you that. So should you be scared?
Well you know what? Doesn’t matter what I say! You will be scared, it’s your nature. But the fact is, over the next couple years your life is going to change in ways you never imagined possible. And after it’s changed it will change and change again and there is nothing you can do to stop so best adapt your attitude, because this you can do!
You can take this as an adventure… a trip to places you have never been before. Sadge loves travel and can “go native” fast – so this is something else you can fall back on. And the native this time is an Aquarian! And people fare very well during Uranus transits if they do like the Aquarians do… so by all means attend this gal’s party! And your fear?
Sorry, man. It’s part and parcel of who you are, so as they say… “Feel your fear and do it anyway.” And your emotion? Just consider yourself “vitally alive”. And considering the alternative, you see that you’re looking pretty good, yes? You are.
Good luck.

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: Legendary Investor, Jeremy Grantham Says “All the World’s a Bubble”
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…
This is a Saturn Neptune headline if I have ever seen one. From TheStreet.com:
Jeremy Grantham: All the World’s a Bubble
Brett Arends writes:
“How high will the Dow go? 15,000? 20,000?
How about 36,000?
While euphoria sweeps stock markets here and worldwide, there are at least a few voices of dissent.
One, unsurprisingly, is legendary value investor Jeremy Grantham — the man Dick Cheney, plus a lot of other rich people, trusts with his money.
-snip-
Grantham says we are now seeing the first worldwide bubble in history covering all asset classes.
Everything is in bubble territory, he says.
Everything.”
Do you agree? Think we’re living in a hologram? Think we’re in denial and that the veil is going to drop?
Quote For Today: Saturn Opposite Neptune, Mars Uranus in Pisces
Astrology in Real Life
We would rather be ruined than changed,
We would rather die in our dread
Than climb the cross of the moment
And let our illusions die
W. H. Auden
This seems relevant to today’s sky. With Saturn opposite Neptune there are definite illusions in all our lives and fear of what we will be left with if we release.
With Mars and Uranus in Pisces we can fight (spend energy) to maintain these illusions but just as easy fight (spend energy) to be liberated from them.
Seems a good day to pray in whatever form. What do you think?
