Astro-Twins: The Soldier and The Salesman – Mars in Aspect to Mars in Synastry: Run!
Now my Mars aspects the Mars in these charts so when I heard about this running challenge… “Run as fast as you can and we’re not going to tell you for how long,” I was really energized. I have Mars conjunct Mercury too so my mind was hotted up. I was on fire. So the next day when I went to the gym, I decided to run.
And I don’t run. I don’t run anywhere, ever. But on this day I was going to run because I was just so freakishly stimulated by this story and the soldier’s energy in general, so next thing you know I’m on a treadmill running like Lola, or something.
And I did this for some weeks. I ran like crazy, totally drawing off his energy, until one of the gym regulars remarked, “I saw you on that treadmill the other day,” he said. “What’s the matter with you anyway?”
I laughed.
“Where do you get your energy? I’ve never anything like you. I’m afraid of you. Do you know that? I mean it. You scare me.”
I chuckled.
“And you don’t warm up, do you? You just get right on there and run like a bat out of hell!”
I laughed. What else would I do? Those were the instructions, right? Get on the path and run as fast as you can!
I thought about explaining it really wasn’t me running, but decided not to bother. If I told him that, would I have to cop to being able to smell the woods and hear the helicopter up in the sky, just behind me over my right shoulder?
And would I have to explain that my life depended on being able to run? And that if I were weak and failed this test, I would… I would cease to exist? Because this is how it felt when I tapped into the solider story, his energy and his experience.

Ruler of Pisces 7th (Neptune) in 1st (Libra). I’m energised (or depleted) very easily by others.
And I loved Run Lola Run. A fabulous movie. But I do have a lot of Gemini planets and Mercury is my chart ruler ….
Yes. And vice versa. There are people I can’t run with bc they drain my energy. So I run faster to get away from them!
Elsa, I’ve been thinking about this lately bc I met an incredibly compelling man. Anyway, one of his standout features is his energy, the boy is all fire. And what I noticed is that I pick up his channel to an extraordinary degree, it’s telepathic, even, although we just met. Now, he is very generous with that energy, giving it to whomever he meets, kinda like being in a warm embrace, but his energy is definitely overwhelming. I mean, it is beautiful but you have to be built to withstand the heat and I bet there are many people who can’t hack it. I was thinking, What energy am I giving back to him? Am I just sucking in his energy? And my theory is that since I can withstand his energy and can take it in, he feels at ease with me (he wanted to spend so much time with me that it couldn’t just be that I was draining him). It’s kinda the way a mother will mirror her baby’s emotions and faces, I guess. So I think that I take in his energy and, weirdly, instead of energizing me, it grounds me. It is extremely intense and yet serene at the same time, if that makes sense. I was thinking maybe my acceptance is what makes him happy to give it to me. He is extremely masculine and I end up acting very soft and feminine around him–and I’m not doing it on purpose! He brings it out in me. Anyway, those are some random thoughts
