Jupiter in Sagittarius in Pictures: My Daughter’s 9th House Moon Trine Jupiter

December 30th, 2006 @ 5:52 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

mostaWhen Jupiter went into Sagittarius it occurred to me to post pictures that illustrate the theme. And since I mentioned my daughter traveled extensively as a baby, I thought I would start with these.

Now my daughter has a 9th house Moon trine Jupiter in Sagittarius which gives a mother lode of this kind of energy… buoyant, international and expansive and you can see her glowing in her element, with these foreign moms (Moon), which was a great benefit (Jupiter) to me at the time.

Because I was breastfeeding! And I was tired! But while traveling, I could hand my baby to just about anyone anywhere and it would be fine. All parties happy! And this persists today. For example, my daughter has family I don’t even know.

mosta wI have a friend, Alexa who grew up in an honest-to-God commune. Consequently she has several mothers, a couple dads and more than a dozen siblings. So one day Alexa was running for the school board. And she used to hang with my daughter all the time. Alexa and I carpooled our kids for six years but besides that she spent time alone with her because she got a kick out of her telling me they had a lot in common as fellow Gemini Pigs, but anyway…

I went to a fund raiser to support her campaign and quite a number of her family members were there, with their spouses or whatever. And Alexa was introducing me to everyone and you can imagine my surprise when came to a table of her parents (four of them, anyway) and said, “And these are Mosta’s grandparents..”

Say what? I smiled. How could my daughter have grandparents I have never met?

mosta 3But I recovered quickly! My daughter travels and finds family (Moon) everywhere she goes. What can I say? That’s a 9th house moon trine Jupiter.

And one more story…

A couple days ago my daughter got a painting from Italy. Uh huh. There is a gal (she can out herself if she wants, I don’t do that) who was so moved by the fact my daughter is ill, she painted her painting and fed-ex’ed the thing clear from Italy. Can you believe this? I can…

Have any Jupiter Moon, 9th house Moon or Moon in Sagittarius stories or pictures?

“Mosta” is a pseudonym. That’s Alexa, my daughter’s “other mother”, with me in the pic.

Elsa, you have the most beautiful smile in all the land. I wish I could understand my daughter better. I think it would bring me relief when she gets so mad at me all of the time.

My sister is a sag and has a jupiter moon conjunct n.node in the ninth house and I think for her, being a mom is very expansive. It is the role that feeds her soul. She is the person she should be after having her kids and she is an amazing, kind, brutally honest and open person. I love Sag’s!

Your daughter looks lovely in the pics. Thanks for sharing your little traveller and best.

Yup. Ninth house Moon (Pisces) trine Jupiter in Cancer.

This Christmas (another crazy one, where my daughter & I had simply too many adopted “families” to squeeze in rationally–although we certainly tried!), my beau commented in a somewhat stunned voice, “you seem to know a lot of people…”

I guess I never really considered it in quite that context before. But, I’ve always had a number of adoptive “families” in my life and never lack for a place to go for holidays or times of real need. I just count the various people who have acted that role as my biggest blessings and try to always treat them with the respect and gratitude for their big hearts and acceptance.

And yes, the kid & I manage to travel a lot, too, partly through her sports and partly Just Because. It is something we both do well together and truly enjoy. Her Moon is not 9th, but does sextile her Jupiter, plus she has an entire stellium (including her 9th house Mercury) conjunct my 9th house Moon–all trining both my Jupiter as well as her own (in Scorpio).

I love the “honest-to-god commune” line, Elsa! It made me laff! I hope you and your family are having fun together these holly-days!

Wow! Just stumbled on this one…

I also have a 9th house Pisces Moon conjunct Mars and Venus, and this whole bunch squares my Sadge Neptune and my Jupiter is also in Sadge conjunct Uranus.

I traveled a lot when I was young but mostly I remember going to the restaurant with my dad and experiencing many different kinds of food and cultures. However I don’t have a lot of pictures of my childhood (square of Neptune) because my mother (Moon), who was mentally ill and alcoholic, destroyed most of my childhood pictures. (WOW, text book astrology!!!)
Since my Mercury sextile my Moon, I have a pretty good memory so it’s not so bad (and my ASC is Cancer so my memory is very vivid sometimes!!) :-)

My 9th house/Jupiter influence in my chart and in my life is truly obvious but during my childhood it wasn’t the most stable influence.. As I’m growing older, it’s becoming better! I’m also mostly a happy and positive person.. even if the beginning of my life was rough and my mind can turn negative at times (Mercury square Saturn-Pluto), my emotions cannot handle being depressed for too long!

Gotta love Sadge Jupiter; everything is going to be ok at the next corner type of mentality
it’s a blessing :-)
