Astrology and the Release of Mozilla Firefox 2: Mercury Retrograde and the Stellium of Six Planets in Scorpio – October 2006
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…
Speaking of the planets lining up, Firefox is releasing the new version of their browser on October 24, the day six planets will be lined up in Scorpio (pictured below). Do you think this is an accident? I don’t. Some companies use an astrologer and other companies ought to!
For example, I remember when AOL first went to “unlimited usage”. It used to be by the hour, remember?
Well they made the change with Mercury retrograde and it was a complete disaster. It was a total traffic jam. No one could sign on for weeks!
So anyway, I have to think this is going to be very good for Firefox. And notice that Mercury goes retrograde Oct 28th, and they neatly dodge this, dont they?
And FYI, readers of ElsaElsa use Firefix in great numbers. This is probably because you’re all so stylish and avant-garde. Roughly 30% of visitors to this blog use Firefox as opposed to about 14% Internet wide and I’m one of them.

When Mercury goes in retrograde, that means it’s going to do it with all the trimmings again? (which for me is bad papers and misunderstandings with professors) For how long? How does one deal?
Content user of Safari. Use firefox when pages won’t load (v.v. rare). I.E. is verboten on my Mac iBook! You have convinced me, though, to go ahead and update firefox when the time comes.
a ‘me too’ on what Belle said.
we use Firefox because it is, hands down, the best web browser currently available. it’s small, it has great extensions, it’s all round perfect – for PC *or* Mac.
*nods*
Opera user over here. Yup, I’m a maverick.
I used to use Mozilla when they did Netscape (and I could get it for free by being a student), but when Opera came out, I switched over. That would be _before_ Firefox was a viable browser.
Actually, I’m very annoyed that Firefox “stole” the tab-browsing idea from Opera. Everyone thinks it’s so innovative on Mozilla’s part, but Opera had it first. *shakes head* Too funny.
Another Firefox user. It would be interesting to see their chart and where the current Scorpio stellium is.
Unrelated note… happy birthday ipods! They’re five today.
