Feeling Strangely Confused? Calling All Fixed Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius – Saturn Opposite Neptune
Hi Elsa,
I’ve been feeling strangely confused ever since I’ve been back to school. It’s my Junior year of high school and I’m finding it hard to cope. I was very busy my first two years and this year I’ve actually laid off so much, I have a lot more free time on my hands. I try to bring my mind to focus back on the tasks at hand and keep up my grades.
I’ve been focusing on my future career. I want to be a Journalist/writer first and foremost and have been getting involved in all sorts of programs that are held on Saturdays for such things and improving my writing skills. The thing is: how can I make my confusion go away. Is this impossible? Am I just going through a phase, anxiety about the future ahead? And does this happen to everyone? I know that’s a lot of questions but I’m one confused soul right now.
Thanks,
Double Aquarius, Scorpio Moon
Dear Aquarius,
This is for you and everyone else with planets at the mid to late degrees of the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). GIVE UP. Give up trying to hold on to some piece of ground because you are not going to be able to manage this. You are alllll being impacted by the current Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky and these are forces outside your control.
All you can do is try feel the currents and move with them. It’s like the tide. The tide comes in and it goes out. When the tide is in, you know what you’re doing. You’re in the flow. When the tide is out, you’re bereft! You’re lost. You’re scared.
And what this does is force faith. When the tide goes out, you simply must move forward the best you can, trusting that your mojo is MIA rather than left the building never to return. Faith, see! This is what you are supposed to be learning.
And at times you are going to be disabled. Seriously! (A Saturn joke.) So just get that into your head (Aquarius), your heart (Leo), your groin (Scorpio) and your stubborn position (Taurus)! You are not your usual self. And you’re not going to have any clarity at all prior to summer 2007. I guarantee this, so you may as well embrace the reality.
My friend satori is a Pisces (Neptune ruled) with a Capricorn (Saturn ruled) Moon, so she has a natural affinity and understanding of these energies when they combine. She put it best when she equated this to teaching a child to swim. You put them in the pool and get all tense and frightened. And you have to get them to relax! You have to get them to believe… to have faith that if they just lie back in the water, they’ll float!
So this is what you need to do. Lie back into the water and trust the universe is taking you exactly where you need to go because it is. And so sorry for the waves, but it’s nature, yes? So what do you expect?
Good luck.

I love satori’s metaphor. Now I understand. Thanks!
the older i get, the more i view all of life like this. some is harder than others…where did i read it? that pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. once you stop fighting with the universe and start trusting, it’s SO much easier.
and i like the ride better than the tortured trip of trying to figure it all out and control the uncontrollable as well.
love satori’s analogy!
this reminds me of an insult I read somewhere (not directing it at anyone but maybe myself)… I just find it hilarious: “not hard to keep your head above water– empty things float.”
That sucks…haha…As a triple fixed person, scorp moon type, I don’t want to relenquish my power and control. This transit is truly driving me insane and when I’m trying to think about college plans for the future… man, what a bummer. =( Good luck out there other fixed signs, I hope you’re having more luck with this then I am.
So far, no…. at this point I think I am just sitting around waiting for life’s events to decide what is going to happen to me, rather than taking my own initiative. Because whatever I plan out just goes to hell anyway!
God only knows what’ll have happened to me by next summer. Lotta chaos, I bet.
Stop! Stop! When will it ever stop!?
I have a fixed ascendant AND midheaven. Last year and I endured a Saturn opposition, its retrograde and then got run over one more time. I have Neptune chugging through my Sun’s house. I have Pluto squaring off my Venus.
There is nothing of my life left.
And now I’m contemplating what that pile of planets about to converge in my first house, at the end of October, might mean.
gosh . . .

Thanks for reminding us of the timelime on this, Elsa. I know you had mentioned it once before, and I had meant to take note of it, but didn’t.
I have a decision to make, and having that date (“Summer 2007″) clear in my head/heart/groin/footing will help.
