saturn old man symbolSo I was having my dreamy love movie…

And when Saturn showed up things got real. My God. Could we possibly be more sober? I don’t think so.

::laughs::
::cries::

And I don’t need any lectures about how “real” is good. I know that for chrissakes! I know that all this godforsaken commitment in all directions supports me. I know that I am STABLE. I am the stable-ist motherfucker you could possibly imagine. But so?

I miss my dreamy Venus! I miss my bliss!

Oh, I still have it. I still get that bliss, you better believe it. But look at my writing. I’m stuck, people! I am literally complaining about being stuck in bliss. And how funny is that? I have my bliss, I just can’t cross the street! And I notice!

Er…because in the olden days, just a few months ago, I could escape into my bliss for months on end. I could literally fantasize myself into love / relationship oblivion. And I could bring the audience with me, But now?

Now my partners and I are real. We are burdened human beings with various struggles, fears and limitations. And we deal with each other as adults. Like this:

“You’re having a hard time and I’m having a hard time. You’re burdened and I am burdened. So how about we don’t burden each other?”

“How about support each other instead? Through this and whatever else comes up? Because I love the living shit out of you. I value you, and I value our relationship and I am completely committed to you…”

Whew! Can you count the Saturn words in that?

When Saturn went into Leo, the bliss police arrived! My relationships got real. They are grounded and consequently my security within them has increased exponentially.

1966 vintage lamborghiniAnd it’s hard to argue this is a negative manifestation. But on the other hand, I sure miss that gauzy, glitzy, delusion love I used to be so high on. Like an alcoholic misses their drink!!! But here’s the thing.

I still think my relationships are glamorous and dreamy and magical. I still think they are Lamborghini-esque. However the car is taking a rest. Maybe getting some work under the hood, or a paint job. But you can still see you can still see the lines and the quality of the design of the automobile. And this is how I think it is how it is for all Leos, and people with planets in Leo. We may be up to our ears in drudgery but we’re still shiny, to the sophisticated eye.

madonna confessionsThink of Madonna…quintessential Leo. Is she working (Saturn) or what? She is busting her ass! And it’s working! Her working, is working.

And so is mine! My relationships (Venus) are working. And I am working (Saturn) to be creative (Leo) and this blog is the result.

So what about you Leos out there? Or people with planets in Leo. How’s it going?

Of course I had to comment, I comment anyway all the time. I am a Leo Sun! And I, for one, I’m glad that Saturn is in Leo. I’m a Pisces Moon, Venus in the 12th so I know what you mean about all these dreamy, blissful fantasies but frankly? I’m sick and tired of fantasy, which is where I’ve been stuck. I want something I can touch and hold. Maybe it’s bc transiting Saturn in Leo falls in my 2nd house. It’s also square my natal Saturn in Taurus. And I am working my ass off, especially resolving some of my Venusian issues and relationship stuff. I am also finally looking for a true path in life (my Saturn falls in my 11th). I’m sick and tired of fantasizing, daydreaming and pining my life away. It’s not like I didn’t work hard before, btw: Saturn was on my Ascendant and I just got a Masters in January. But now I’ll hopefully start a second Masters and be on my way. So, again, I’m glad to have less magic and more reality.

1) I wanna say I like the Lamborghini analogy.

2) Over the past year I have definitely been learning how to do relationships A WHOLE LOT better — better for me, better for the other person, and better for the relationship itself. (As I mentioned elsewhere I too am going through a Saturn transit through my House of Relationships.)

3) At the same time, thanks to this Saturn tansit, I am also learning how to best live my Uranus in Leo in 7H, how to “take responsibility” (Saturn) for it.

now, this is interesting. i’ve got leo rising and saturn in the 7th house(pices). lately, i’ve been getting seriuos about losing the rest of the weight i need to lose. doing the work. and a not insignificant part of my motivation is helping other folks with similar issues. but it hasn’t been that long for me, so i don’t know if it’s related to this or not.
