Venus (vanity) is conjunct Mercury (writing) in Aquarius (shocking / proactive / progressive). This conjunction opposed my natal Venus in Leo… which really likes it’s own hair.

My editor HQ regarding today’s advice the Sagittarian blog:

“Edited fairly lightly. I actually added punctuation here and there, but only when absolutely necessary (I thought). If it’s too much, just revert away…

For some reason, this post read as more “breathless” than usual - there were a few run-ons and the like. So I had to punctuate just to make sense of it. But I figured you were writing like that on purpose, since the post was about Sadge/travel/moving fast. I think all your posts about Sadge read as “fast” so I tried to leave that vibe in there.”

I responded, “Yes… exactly right impression. You know astrology these days, HQ!”

“Haha u should blog about this…”

I am highly mutable and I do change my manner when writing to specific signs. With Sagittarius, I figure they’re moving so I’d better. I always imagine them checking my blog on their cell phone from an airport while moving in the line towards the gate to board their plane… with one carry on bag and nothing checked! You don’t want to bog a person like that down. It’s just not right.

And then the next question will be from a non-Sadge and invariably I have to down shift. I do the same in real life. Don’t the rest of you mutables (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces) do this?

And are you primarily fixed, mutable or cardinal?

The soldier told me something shocking.

“I can’t believe you tell me these secrets,” I said, matter-of-factly.

“Well you keep my secrets, P,” he said with total assurance.

“No I don’t. I tell your secrets all the time. I don’t tell all of them but I tell a lot of them. I tell plenty of them. I am always telling your secrets, actually.”

“What? What you are talking about? I do not keep your secrets so don’t think I do! Who do you think you’re talking to? You’re talking to a writer! I write about people and I write about you as you have got to be well aware since you’ve read some of it. I think its a lesson that the narrative we tell ourselves of what is going on is not the same story others are living by. The same events can be experienced by different people in many different ways. In very real ways we’re all living in remarkably different worlds.

Marc, well said! I reread the post after reading Jem’s comment (and writing my response) and can easily see where she would get the impression she did. It actually reads this way (her way) to me when I use “other people’s eyes, which I did, but distinctly try not to do when I write. Pal and astrologer and double Gemini, cf perez of ancientsky.com contacted me to day about a writing project. She wants to partner with me, I’ll write, she’ll sell and we’ll split the profit.

“Sounds good to me,” I said, regarding her terms. “I can write. And I want you to make money. Make all the money you can. I like to work like this. With someone else involved, I mean. I think I was pretty much born to partner. I can’t do much of anything alone.”

“Well you have to partner, sweetheart. It’s that or you can wait until you’re on your death bed and you’ve lost all your opportunities.”

“Yeah?” I wasn’t sure what she was referring to.

“That’s what happened to my dad,” she said. “He was lying there dying and he was crying out. I made a mistake, he cried. Yep. That was his last thing and then he died.”

Whew! I thought this was potent.

Is it easy for you to partner?

I met my coffee date from the gym for dinner last night. He’s a poet and a songwriter and I had this idea we could meet for dinner, each bringing the other something to read.

Kathy asks regarding the “Is Love Simple Blog,” Why not write about what you find stupefying about the thread? What did you find so surprising?”

“Did you feel aggravated at the people who thought Love was simple? Did you feel compassion for those who felt that they have been robbed of Love’s happiness in this Life? Did you agree with bits and pieces of many of the contributors?”

Kathy, like I said, I’ve not been able to parse the comments. I am overwhelmed with the data and consequently I have nothing to say. I’ll tell you something about me. I am ready to go to court at all times!! ::smiles::

See, when I write something it needs to be real to me, and defensible. It needs to be well thought out. I need to thoroughly understand what I am saying and believe it! This does not mean I have to be right. In fact, it may surprise you I don’t have that standard for myself at all.

For example, I put advice up here 6 days a week. And I don’t think I need to be right, all the time, every single time. How would that be possible? I am human being. I only need to be trying hard to do my very, very best and this standard, I do maintain.

So I think I’m pretty good at this, but every once in a while I am going to miss by mile! And while I’m not proud when it happens, I think it’s all right. “That ElsaElsa sure fucked up her column today!” ::smiles:: Now and then, this is going to occur.

And when it does, I can apologize. I am happy to cop to any error in judgment. But I want to be able to explain. “Yes, I was wrong, but I was thinking this and this and this and then obviously took a wrong turn…” See, that’s human. I am a well-meaning human being. But what I can’t do is put bullshit up here. And what I am in real life, is one of the most “organic” people you could ever imagine. Which means that feelings and ideas emerge when and if they do. And regarding the comments on the love blog, there is simply nobody home!

So you see I can’t address this. And I can’t even explain why I can’t address it outside of the explanation I just offered. I can’t tell you why I can’t assimilate the comments and come up with something to say, I mean. And that’s why I asked what other people thought. Because it’s interesting to me! And because we hear what I think all the time on this blog!!

So I hope this helps. This is why I don’t write “on demand”. This is why I answer questions not necessarily in the order received, but in an order that makes sense to me and feels right. It’s because I am not a machine.

And this is also why this blog reads the way it does. It’s because everything I post here is real to my core.
