Writer’s Block, Getting Your Nerve Up To Speak Your Mind, Etc.
Mars Conjunct Mercury In Libra Loves A Writing Challenge…
I write this stuff less to talk about myself and more to make people more aware of their own desire for challenge, their need to assert themselves and act heroically. If this sounds foriegn to you, it is safe to assume your Mars function is repressed which is the case for many women. The energy still plays, it just plays in a perverted manner.

The Challenge To Communicate: Nell Of The Internet
Astrology in real life
Lupa writes on Mercury and Minds:
“I agree with you Elsa. The idea that you send your ideas, thoughts, communication out there and let it be received or not can be an excuse for poor communication.”
Well my writing has been through the wringer. As I mentioned on one of these posts, when saturn transited my 6th house (writing / mercury / virgo)… this is when HQ helped me put my book together. He was the first person who told me that I wrote in code. I of course had no idea what he was talking about.
Eventually I got to see I had this 9th house writing style. I’d just go and go and go. MY writing was full of jokes only I (and perhaps people very close to me) could understand. I took the readers knowledge for granted which was WAY off base.

Open Question: Can Writers Stop Writing?
Ask the collective
max writes on Pluto Was Not Very Good…
“…of course you won’t stop writing. Never happen…”
Boy, I think that’s wrong. People stop writing all the time. They also stop acting, stop singing… they stop all kinds of things and it has nothing to do with whether they are good at it or not.
It’s just energy and it can be expressed a million and one way especially if you’re me. I prefer conversation, I always had.
I have never had the ambition to be a writer. It’s just something I’ve been doing because I’ve felt I should. I was compelled you could say but I don’t have that feeling anymore so it now becomes a choice and the difference is stunning if you happen to be in my body / psyche.
Basically I feel as if I have just about to be delivered out the end of a very long tube - Kerplunk! Birth analogy? Well yeah. So who in their right mind would climb back in the tube? I don’t think Capricorn is so inclined.

“Pluto in Sagittarius was not very good to Elsa P…”
Ask the collective
Today I re(read) the first chapter of my book as I contemplated sending it to the soldier’s son. I haven’t read it in a long time and it made me laugh out loud. That’s pretty good, huh?
Yeah, I was laughing at my own jokes as I am known to do and that was it. Really, that was all I could do because the scope of my writing (publishing) is so vast, it is more than I can comprehend.
When Pluto went into Sadge, like I said, I was pregnant. My daughter was born with Pluto in Scorpio (conjunct her ascendant) but when Pluto was in Sadge and I was all swelled up, my first (ex) husband stopped by and gave me a computer. “I thought you might like to write,” he said.

Astrology And The Challenge Of Writing About Everyone’s Un-Comfort Zone - Children And The Psycho-Sexual World
Astrology in real life
Well this is par for the course. I start a story with no idea of what I am going to say and invariably it becomes far more involved and demanding than I intend. Apparently I like these sticky problems, if not I suppose I’d make an outline. These are writer problems and the challenge suits my Mars Mercury conjunction.
My current problem with the Vid story is this: There is a (strong) psycho-sexual component to this story so should I include it? If so the how, when and why?

“What Am I To Do With My Power?” Saturn Transit To Pluto In Virgo Wants To Know
Astrology in real life
foxxy writes on Disturbing Scorpio
“Well, you tell some pretty visceral stories. I’ve had to go walk around after some.”
foxxy - that’s interesting. Because although HQ worked on editing it with me (a slow painful process w/ Saturn in my 6th), when it was done and he read it through, he did so while walking and/or riding the subway around NY. I wonder if this has to do with my Mars Mercury. You’ve just got to move.

Voice Of Venus In Leo… Creativity Rules!
Astrology in real life
Venus (vanity) is conjunct Mercury (writing) in Aquarius (shocking / proactive / progressive). This conjunction opposed my natal Venus in Leo… which really likes it’s own hair.
“Well the whole blog is provocative,” I said. “There are 3 or 4000 posts I have written on this blog alone and every single one of them is going to provoke or shock someone. Oh my God, how can she say that?!? The astrology alone is enough to make most flip their lid and what am I supposed to do?”

Saturn In Virgo And Here’s The Speech Rules, Y’all
Outtakes and various other sundries…
Wordsmiths, avoid these words…
Here’s an excerpt.
Andrew Stern writes:
“…The contributors gave first prize to the phrase “a perfect storm,” saying it was numbingly applied to virtually any notable coincidence.
“Webinar” made the list as a tiresome non-word combining Web and seminar that a contributor said “belongs in the same school of non-thought that brought us e-anything and i-anything.”
Similarly, the list-makers complained about the absurd comparisons commonly phrased “x is the new y,” as in “(age) 70 is the new 50″ or “chocolate is the new sex.” “Fallacy is the new truth,” commented one contributor.”

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: Empowering My Daughter - Legacy, Scorpio and the 8th House And Oh Yeah, Death, Dying and Writing
“Empowering My Daughter” starts here - Part One
My daughter and I, talking in the car as we drove across Nebraska after spending the weekend with the soldier…
“Sometimes I wish I had your life,” she said. ‘To write about because my life is not as interesting as yours.”
“What?” I laughed. ‘You’ve got to be kidding me. Look at the characters in your life. You’ve got one… he stands there holding a cigarette in his hand, blowing smoke out his mouth and says he’s not smoking.” I snorted. “You don’t think you can write about that? And how many times have you nearly died? You’ve spent years almost dying don’t you realize?”
“I do realize,” she said. Continue reading Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: Empowering My Daughter - Legacy, Scorpio and the 8th House And Oh Yeah, Death, Dying and Writing

On Writing Advice For Sagittarius: Mutable Signs Mutate!
Astrology In Real Life…
My editor HQ regarding today’s advice the Sagittarian blog:
“Edited fairly lightly. I actually added punctuation here and there, but only when absolutely necessary (I thought). If it’s too much, just revert away…
For some reason, this post read as more “breathless” than usual - there were a few run-ons and the like. So I had to punctuate just to make sense of it. But I figured you were writing like that on purpose, since the post was about Sadge/travel/moving fast. I think all your posts about Sadge read as “fast” so I tried to leave that vibe in there.”
I responded, “Yes… exactly right impression. You know astrology these days, HQ!”
“Haha u should blog about this…”
I am highly mutable and I do change my manner when writing to specific signs. With Sagittarius, I figure they’re moving so I’d better. I always imagine them checking my blog on their cell phone from an airport while moving in the line towards the gate to board their plane… with one carry on bag and nothing checked! You don’t want to bog a person like that down. It’s just not right.
And then the next question will be from a non-Sadge and invariably I have to down shift. I do the same in real life. Don’t the rest of you mutables (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces) do this?
And are you primarily fixed, mutable or cardinal?
