“Men hate that,” the soldier said. “They hate women like that.”

“No kidding? They don’t like women who are nasty to other women? I didn’t know if they would care about that or not.”

“Hell no, men don’t like venomous women. Those women who are vicious? No I don’t think men like women like that at all.”

“Why not?”

“Well you see them being vicious to other woman you figure they’ll do it to you eventually.”

“Yes, I guess that is obvious. I don’t know much about them because I avoid them like the plague. It makes me ill to be around women like that so I just get as far away from them as I can, as fast as I can.”

“Good idea.”

How do you handle venomous women when you come across them?

Do you feel that things have energy? For example my friend, Alexa, a full blown eccentric raised in a commune holds what she calls “Switch and Bitch” at her house a couple times a year. She invites a group of women to her house asking them to bring the clothes they have outgrown in either size or style.

The women then pick through each other’s stuff. They “switch” while they prattle on (bitch) about whatever and this is a grand idea because everyone arrives burdened and leaves lighter.

Alexa is very sensitive to energy with a 12th house sun and a Cancer Moon and tells me she feels fantastic wearing her friends clothes. She wears mine when she wants to have an “Elsa day” and she combines her friend’s clothes to swirl things up.

Indigo emailed offering me the opportunity to edit the Astrology News page. I thought about it for 3 or 4 seconds and mailed her back… gee thanks, but no thanks. I’m more of a creative type and just not interested in that kind of thing at all. There. Done with that. But she mailed back.

“Oh, I understand,” she said. “But blah, blah, blah and blah. And blah and blah. And blah blah.”

Reading her mail I chuckled and shook my head. I wrote her back:

“Oh yeah. I get it. I see what you mean, but like I said, I’m not interested. I have no interest in things like this at all. I am very busy with things I am interested in, see. But I am sure you’ll find someone, so um… good luck and by the way, NO!”

She mailed me back. And I was going to ignore but found myself sucked in. So I responded and she responded, this time pulling out all the stops. She played every card you could possibly imagine. I am telling you she didn’t miss a trick and and reading her mail, I laughed out loud.

“Look at this chick. What a little freak,” I thought, as I mailed her back after a 10 second delay:

“Indigo! It’s you! I don’t know what I was thinking! Please, oh please, oh please! Please, please, please, please, please can I edit that News page?”

So there you go. Indigo is an effective warrior. She’s got the thing in her sights and she’s going nowhere until she’s conquered it. She sure as hell isn’t going to call a man for back up and as soon as I figured this out, I knew I’d like working with her. Girl Power, you know? We’re peers. Damn the torpedoes, we’re going to live!

“So did you confront him?” I asked.

“No. No I did not. I thought about it. But then I thought, why should I do that?”

I could think of a lot of reasons, but it was obvious she had her own thought process so I just listened.

“I’m not going to do that. I won’t do that for them.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean it’s their problem not mine. They are the ones doing what they are not supposed to do. So let them figure it out. Let them figure out how they’re going to tell me, because everyone else has. Or nearly everyone else. Do you know how many people have told me what they’re up to?”

“How many?”

“Let’s see,” she said as if she were counting in her head. “Elsa, I can’t even tell you. Who hasn’t told me? Six or eight different people have told me and everyone knows. The rest of them are trying to spare me or get up the nerve to tell me, I don’t know which. But I do know it is not my soul that’s in trouble here. I haven’t done anything to either one of them. They’re the ones who are doing something so they’re the ones who are going to have to search themselves and find a way to tell me… or not. It really doesn’t matter what they do, because I already know what’s going on. So what do I care what they do or when they do it? I don’t. No, this is up to them and I wouldn’t want to be either one of them. Because one of them is cheating on his wife. The other is cheating with the husband of one of the women in her circle. And I wouldn’t want that on my shoulders, would you?”

“No.”

“Well there you go. So no. I’m not going to say anything. I’m going to worry about my own soul and I haven’t betrayed my sister. I haven’t betrayed my spouse. So as far as I can see, I’m not the one with a problem. But enough about them. How are you doing?”

I couldn’t argue her logic. You?

I consider myself a massive, and complete man’s woman and I don’t think many would argue. But I am also a feminist with serious credentials. But this blog is not about me. It’s about I woman I know who fascinates me because she has such little use for men!

Now she’s a married, heterosexual but her husband is a complete afterthought to her. She’s pretty much disinterested in sex. What she loves is her sisters… which is basically any woman of any age who lives on this planet.

And she spends most her life supporting other women by being politically involved and planning or participating in women’s groups or circles. And she is always trying to get me to come to one of these things to which I respond… “Why would I do that? There are no men there.” I’ll say. To which she roars laughing.
