Astrology Right Now: Lunar Eclipse Aside, Endings, Lost Confidence, Disowned, Rejected And Tears!

My eye on the sky

rejection1_1_1.jpgFull Moon, Lunar Eclipse aside, with Venus (in it’s detriment) conjunct Saturn and Mercury in Virgo, I am getting nothing but news of people getting reality (Saturn) shoved down their throats. This is limited, there is not enough of that, you’ve got to work harder, longer and for less… in short, you have got to clutch it up and oh by the way - NO WHINING!

We can hope for some relief via the lunar eclipse but this Virgo situation is serious. I found myself calling the one person I speak to frequently and while she did not pick up, my intention was to either find out she was doing ok (a spot of good news for my inner circle) or alternately to make sure all the bad news was in because I am telling you it is not a good day to have your phone ring!

Venus Conjunct Saturn: Celebrating Old People Love

Astrology in real life

henry's wifeI was telling the soldier about my grandmother the other night… Henry’s wife. She was only married to him a short time, he just couldn’t hold her. She was much younger than him and he held no ill will towards her even though she left him alone with the baby (my mother), 2 1/2 at the time.

Anyway, you can get a load of her here (Henry’s Wife). The soldier said he knew the feeling (can’t hold on to her) and I admit I am a lot like her even though I only met her once in my life. She moved from the desert to Boston where she sent pictures for decades, every single one of them, pure drama. She’s always be dressed to the nines and posed with her hands in the air on some street corner with a skyscraper backdrop. She had to stage this stuff… the photographer would have to be across the street for example, this was obvious from the pictures. A few days later the soldier was sitting on the bed tying Army knots.

Saturn Is Conjunct Venus - Are You Worthless As A Parent?

Astrology in real life

crayons.JPGLast night I was talking to the soldier about writing his son. “Yeah, I tell him I love you all the time. I tell him allll the time. He probably doesn’t know what to make of it. Some woman loves his dad? How the hell could that happen.”

“Well, P, he probably thinks you’re crazy.”

“Yeah, maybe. Or maybe he thinks you’re the crazy one,” I said.

“Well he probably takes that as a given.”

“Oh.  Well at least we’re colorful. That’s got to be something..?”

“Yeah, we’re colorful all right. Lot of good that’s gonna do him. They’re colorful…” He sneered and I laughed.

I was going to tell him how important I think entertainment is but I changed my mind because I was imagining us both colored with crayons and I was so entertained I forgot.

Open Question Regarding Transits To The Natal Chart (Saturn Square Venus Specifically)

Ask the collective

saturn girlDear Elsa,

Let’s say you were born with Saturn square Venus. Years later, Saturn transits square to your natal Venus.

Would you be able to deal with it better because you already have the aspect natally, or would it just be more difficult, like a double dose?

Curious

Dear Curious, here is your lousy answer: It depends. Some people have a difficult aspect like Saturn square Venus in their chart but they also have the ability to ignore it. Let’s say they have a grand trine for example.

When someone has a grand trine it indicates an easy flow in certain aspects of their life. They just don’t have to worry about whatever these areas are so they may opt to focus on the ease and deny the thing they lack. A good example of this would be a woman who achieves like crazy… really very easily however no one loves her (Venus) really (Saturn). This could be a teen star for example.

Sagittarius Woman Stuck With Clingy Boyfriend - Astrology-Based Advice

Hi Elsa,

I’ve tried leaving my boyfriend of five years twice, and both times he wouldn’t let me go. I really want to breakup with him, but I am afraid that he will cling on again and not let me go. Do you see him out of my life?

Help!
Stuck with my Boyfriend

sadge nudeDear Stuck,

Yes, I see him out of your life… as soon as you put him there! You’re 30-something years old and you get to choose the company you keep, particularly in your primary relationship!

Here’s the astrology: You have Saturn (responsibility) tied up with Venus (love) in your chart. I’m guessing you feel responsible for him. I’m also guessing he reinforces this erroneous idea and in effect, restricts you but it’s not real. In reality, you’re restricting yourself but hopefully not for long because your real responsibility to yourself. So here’s your answer:

Yes, he’ll be out of your life but not because he decides to stop clinging. He’s going to cling and you know it. You have to leave (a Sagittarius forte) but this time once outside, close the door firmly and run like the free horse that you are.

Freedom is that easy. Good luck.

Astrology And Happiness: Can Happiness Be Taught? Learned? Trained?

Ask the collective

scorpioIt was my ex and mega-Scorpio, the AMF who made me aware of “happy people” in the world. He is quite astute and pointed out that I was a happy person as were various people we’d run across. A waitress with a wide grin for example. Just random people we’d see - He’d always notice the happy ones because he just couldn’t figure them out.

With his Venus in Scorpio conjunct Saturn in the 8th, he’d wonder, “Now why in the world is that guy happy? What’s he got to be happy about..?”

It was very queer for us because we spent a lot of time together, one of us always grinning the other one wondering why.

The AMF vacillated between envying “happy people” and thinking us something akin to brain-damaged but in whatever case we were both amused and talked about this a lot.

Now obviously people have a predisposition towards happiness that is shown vividly in a chart but here’s the question:

Can a (basically) unhappy person learn to be happy?

The Relationship Fails - Now Whose Fault Is That?

Astrology in real life

The soldier and I were talking about an old love of mine…

“I have been thinking about him lately and wondering what he came up with. Do you suppose he’s told himself a story about how awful I am? Or do you think he sees it in another light?”

“He’s probably told himself a story,” he said.

“Yeah, I think he might have. I think he may have a whole story constructed by now and then if becomes reality even if it’s not real. Why do people do that?”

“It’s a defense.”

“Against what?”

Astrology, Money And Integrity: Another Angle On Venus In Aspect To Saturn

Astrology in real life

social-security-number-card.gifThe soldier was going through his mail and handed me his Social Security Statement. “Look at this, P,” he said. “This is all the money I have ever made in my life.”

I looked at the figures trying to think what I was supposed to say or glean from them.

“Look there,” he said pointing to the first year he reported income. “I was 15 when I started working. I made $414 working on a farm,’ he said with a snort. “And look at what I made when I met you. I made $5500 that year, almost $5600.”

“This is unbelievable,” I said as the figures on the page started to mean something.
