30 Year Old Man Craves For Love: Astrology-Based Advice

Dear Elsa,

Many people think single men don’t crave love. On the surface, people all think I have it all: a swinging bachelor with a good career and a loving family. The truth is, I need love, to find the woman who feels the way I do. So far, there’s only one relationship that I went on for about two years, in which I was cheated on eventually. I just don’t seem capable of meeting someone who will treat me seriously.

Those that I fall for take me for granted. Many woman tell me I am kind, attentive and loving but none would really want to love me. In the end, I feel resigned to staying single for the rest of my life.

Disenchanted Man
Singapore

saturn old manDear Disenchanted,

Although you did not specifically say so, I am going assume you want advice on how to solve your problem - and if not, there are plenty out their who do so I am going to address this non-question.

Per the astrology model, when you are 30 years old (post your Saturn return) you are considered to be completely grown-up and responsible for every aspect of your life. As an adult, you are no longer able to blame others for your problems such as your parents who mistreated you or whatever.

This does not mean your parents did not mistreat you. It simply means whatever the result or inheritance of that is, it is now your problem and your problem alone to solve.

I feel your challenge in relationship falls into this same category. You have a pattern here, it is your pattern and your problem which you may or may not address. If you do address it, you can expect things to be different; if you do not, you can expect things to be the same. But the idea you are a victim of this life is never ever going to get you anywhere and unfortunately with Neptune tied up with Venus, you do have this tendency.

Bottom line is this: sober up and get to work on your negative patterns in relationship or expect to continue to feel “divine discontent” for the rest of your life.

Good luck.

Neptune On The Midheaven - I’m A Decoy Catholic

Astrology in real life

st-augustine.jpgNow the soldier would tell you that I am a Catholic on account of I was baptized and while he is technically correct, I have not 1 minute of Catholic training so it leaves me at a loss when I attend Mass with him as I did today for the second time.

I am inordinately disoriented from the moment I walk in the door for an endless list of (Pluto Moon) reasons, something the soldier cannot understand for the same reasons he does not understand other things - That is that I am not him. In whatever case he asked me what I thought as we were leaving the church today and I told him that I had about a million impressions.

“For example, they start singing and I start crying,” I said. (Venus Neptune is famous for sensitivity to music) “And then I look over and see the real Catholic and she is putting on lipstick. To me that is surreal and I have no way of knowing what to make of it.”

Voice Of Venus In Leo (Square Neptune) Regarding Ego Mania

Ask the collective

leo lion babyYesterday, I explained to the soldier:

“Yeah, my ego mania is in full swing today,” I said. “It must be confusing for you. One day I am going on and on about how good my hair is and the next day I am wondering if I have any appeal at all.”

“Yeah.”

“Yep, I have disappearing (Neptune) ego mania (Venus in Leo) and I really hate it when they tide goes out. I’d much rather be boasting all the time because even if I am insufferable, I am entertaining but as it is my confidence cannot be maintained.”

Can any of you Neptune types relate? What disappears on you? Can you see the tendency in your chart?

Astrology Short And Sweet: Venus Square Neptune - Confusion Reigns

Astrology in real life

waist.jpg“I would like you to put your hands on my waist,” I told the soldier. “Hurry, while I still have one.”

“Oh, P, you have always had a waist. Even when you yelled at me for getting you fat you still had a waist. When you said the buttons were popping off you uniform?”

“I remember.”

“Well I’ve popped buttons off my shirt and I still knew I had a waist.”

Confused, I just shook my head and changed the subject.

Sound Of Music Redux: Neptoooon…

Astrology in real life

sound_of_music-gazebo.jpgLast night on the phone with the soldier:

“What’s going on?” I asked. We talk about 10 times a day.

“Oh,” he said sappily, “I was just thinking of you and me in the gazebo.”

“Gazebo! Are we going to have a gazebo? What gazebo?”

The gazebo in Sound Of Music,” he said with a sigh. “Me and you. Me and P in the gazebo and whiskers on kittens.”

I laughed. “Well good. I am glad you don’t think I’m a banshee, there are many who do.’

“Ah, well they don’t know you, P. They don’t know about your whiskers on kittens or your warm woolen mittens.”

I just shook my head.See what happens when you have Neptune on the midheaven? Saint or sinner, it depends on who’s lookin’.

Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo - An Update

Ask the collective

piscesVenus is in Pisces today, the sign of it’s exaltation and I thinking on my cross trainer this morning how few people really know how to give a gift. For example any gift with a string attached is not a gift but something grotesque in my mind. It is far worse than giving nothing so I wanted to state this… my opinion and also update what happened with the 2 books I mentioned on the video, Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo

I wound up getting the the Stephen Arroyo book from regular reader here, mega Libran, Becca. Becca is a librarian and somehow this enhanced this for me. Something about getting a book bought for you by a librarian who generally loans books, don’t they? Want a book? Go to the library, damn it! But she made sure I got that book which I enjoyed very much and I intend to write about it first chance I get.

Now the the Leonard Cohen book, I no longer have. I thought I would have it forever as much as it meant to me but in fact I gave it away some months ago.

What happened was the soldier’s son sent an email from Iraq. He was asking for certain things. Things like mouthwash and dental floss and books of course. And being on the road the soldier could not do much to get something together so he asked me to do it for him and I did.

I was stressed and out of time and money at the time so I put together some of everything he asked for, surprised I had everything on the list already onhand in some form.

I then looked around for some books and decided to send him the Energy Of Slaves when I realized it was the best thing I had. So what else would I give him, hmm? I sent that thing and I don’t miss it at all.

Do you know how to give a gift?

Voice Of Venus In Leo… Square Neptune: “I Was A Total STAR…”

Astrology in real life

elsahalloween.jpgYesterday the solider was still talking about the picture he came across in the garage 2 weeks ago…

“Oh, that picture?” I said. “Well I loved that dress. Oh man did I think I looked good. I didn’t see any possible way in the world anyone could look better than I did when I was wearing that dress.”

“Well you were right.”

“Yeah, I know. I thought I was good to go. I thought I could go anywhere in the world in that dress and be recognized as beautiful. I just didn’t think my beauty could be denied and I saw no need for shoes. Shoes? Who needs shoes?”

He laughed.

“Yeah, I was dying to be seen in that dress. It had rick rack you know.”
