Book Review - Living Reality: My Extraordinary Summer With “Sailor” Bob Adamson by James Braha

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

living reality braha james astrologyI finished reading James Braha’s “Living Reality: My Extraordinary Summer With Sailor” Bob Adamson” on Advaita also known as non-duality some months ago. I intended to review it but between the ethereal subject and Braha’s own nature and writing style, I’ve found it impossible to adopt a detached view of his work in a detached way and write a proper review.

I have found it just as impossible to say, “Hey, psst. Read this book because it’s a mysterious secret only some people get.” So instead, here’s the story. Continue reading Book Review - Living Reality: My Extraordinary Summer With “Sailor” Bob Adamson by James Braha

Vedic, Western, Magi and Pet Astrologer, Albert Stephens

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

quirky astrology bookMadeline asks on the Sadge Moon blog: if you get a great Vedic reading can you share the guy’s name? I have been wanting to know my dasha dosha bukti etc stuff! In a way I can UNDERSTAND….

Madeline, I had a great consultation. I would recommend astrologer, Albert Stephens, to anyone for anything. Not only is he an accomplished Vedic astrologer, he has expansive of every branch of astrology there is… Vedic, Western, Magi… he also mentioned Pet astrology and if you Google his name you will pull him up in association with Heliocentric astrology as well. So after 30 some years of study, he has comprehensive knowledge of astrology of all types but what is most extraordinary about him is… well there are a few things.

First we know he contacted me to extend himself in service out of appreciation for something I did for another astrologer. So that tells you plenty right there. This is a human being with a soul and a beating heart. Albert can be moved!

But what you’d never guess is he is wonderfully quirky and polite in a way, shape and form that makes you grin ear to ear. He sounds like this:

“Please forgive me but…” And then he goes on to tell you about your life.

“If you would allow me the privilege and be kind enough to permit me, I would like to tell you that…” And then he tells you.

::smiles::

Albert is a joy… and a half! He has a blind bulldog though and please be aware if his dog needs attention he will interrupt the consultation to offer his love. But he will be back with you in a few minutes with his attention fully focused and he is well worth the wait.

He does not boast but I have discovered he has published several articles in Dell Horoscope / Mountain Astrologer and told me he once interviewed John Townley on TV so he’s been around.

He has no web presence but seemed to take great joy in connecting with another astrologer. I also found via Google he is the Treasurer of the Montana Big Sky chapter of the NCGR and it appears he lectures from time to time and I would say if you have the opportunity to see him, don’t miss! Because as we all know non-boring people are at a premium! And Albert will not bore you, I can assure you that.

Again, I would recommend him to one and all. He is a fabulously kind and entertaining man with an apparently endless reservoir of wisdom to share. Frankly, I was astonished. I was on the phone with him a long time and I would like to be on the phone with him a long time again, so there you go…

I don’t want to publish his email but if you have trouble finding him, please post me and I’ll put you in touch.

Astrology Today - Moon in Sagittarius

My eye on the sky…

ganeshaWith the Moon in Sagittarius heading towards a conjunction with Jupiter, it’s a good day to get out, one way or the other. Travel is ideal, but if that can’t be managed there are other ways to expand your horizons.

I am going to speak with a Vedic astrologer today, who contacted me offering a free consultation after reading my reviews of astrologer, James Braha’s books - “How To Be A Great Astrologer” and "How to Predict Your Future: Secrets of Eastern and Western Astrology".

This is textbook Sagittarius as his offer to share his (foriegn) perspective is generous.

Do you have anything “Sagittarius” going over the next couple days? What?

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

gold chartFrom Bernama.com: Indians Rush To Buy Gold On Auspicious Day

P. Vijian writes

CHENNAI (India), April 21 (Bernama) — There is always an auspicious day to perform any act in India - from a simple decision like buying a vehicle to a more important one like getting married.

April 19 and 20 are the auspicious days of the “Akshaya Tritiya” festival where it is customary for Indians to buy gold in the belief that it will bring prosperity for the family throughout the year.

~~
And regarding, “Akshaya Tritiya” from Astrouniverse.com

“Akshaya tritiya falls on the third lunar day from Amavayasya (new moon) which occurs during the suklapaksha month of vaishaka. The special fasts and feasts of the vaisaka month begins with Akshaya Tritiya. The reason for this day to be auspicious is the position of Sun and Moon on that particular day…”

Another Great Astrology Blog - EthericPark.com

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

astrology ballHere’s another great astrology blog. It’s serious… and cheeky too! EthericPark.com

It’s written by someone identified as: “No me, no self, & no I… Just another hero for Divine Zero…” who claims Pat Robertson is from Neptune!

Hero writes:

“Here he goes again… God spoke to him last week & this is what he said…

(insert YouTube clip)

I wonder if his tropical mars-neptune opposition has anything to do with this ;)

Mars with neptune by conjunction or opposition can also make one feel like they are a “spiritual warrior”.
