I’m a control freak magnet! This is what happens when you have Uranus in the 7th (love at first sight) and Venus square Neptune (Delusion!!).
Er… excuse my fervor but I just don’t like suntan pantyhose and that is all there is to it!

Regarding my projected 7th house Uranus, the conversation continues this morning…

“P, it’s like the Adams family. They all think they’re normal too.”

“Well look. You threaten to kill people on a minute-ly basis. You threaten to kill people several times an hour at least. You can’t tell me you are the sanest.”

“Yes I am the sanest.”

“People do not agree. You have to admit I look a lot more normal than you do,” I said.

“Yeah, and then you talk. He’s weird, but she’s weirder. That’s what people at a party say. That’s what they say once you say something. He’s weird, but she’s even weirder.”

You mean I fly under the wire until I open my mouth?”

“Yeah. Takes about five minutes. I don’t know, I’ll time it. I’ll time it and find out for you. How long it takes the party folks to discover this and say what they say.”

“Oh, okay. Do that then and let me know. I would be very interested in this insanity from your (skewed) perspective.”

I have a (projected) 7th house Uranus. (1 Minute Astrology - Psychology, The 7th House And Projection In Relationship) That means I think I am normal… the partner is odd.

The soldier and I on the phone tonight:

“But wait a minute,” I said. ‘You mean I’m the crazy one? I thought you were the obviously crazy one.”

“No, we’re both crazy. It’s both of us.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me. I thought I was pretty sane. The way you go yelling around?”

“Between the two of us, I am the sane one. I am the sanest for sure,” he said.

“Oh for crying out tears. It is interesting but hard to believe. I think you’re the crazy one. The way you make it sound we’re both off and society would flush us both.”

Avery - that’s a good question. I can be married, I just can’t be bored. And I just can’t be civil every minute of the day either. Sometimes I just have to fight and if I am deprived of this, I am going to be miserable.

“Sometimes a planet or a node is very close to the cusp of the next house. Some interpretations say they are “technically” in the next house. Let’s say the ascendant is 20º Aquarius and the north node is 18º Aquarius. How would you interpret it because having a planet or a node in the 12th house is different from having it in the 1st house. Thank you very much!”

Conny, I have several planets on the cusps of houses and personally see them active in both houses. For example, I have Uranus on the cusp of the seventh and eighth house.

Yeah, yeah the full moon. But what about the T-square between Venus (in Virgo, the unmarried woman), Uranus (Freeeeeeedom!) and Jupiter (don’t fence me in)?

Tell me I’m not the only one with itchy feet! Thankfully I will travel this weekend. I feel ready to turn into the Hulk! Who would attach to that guy? Yeah, that’s the point!

I laughed.

“That’s how I felt when I met you. And I still feel like that every time I see you. I have to wipe the sweat from my forehead, P. Anyway he’s just standing there and someone tells him, looks like you’ve been hit by the thunderbolt. I sure know what that’s like…”

The soldier has Venus (love) sextile Uranus (sudden) so prone to sudden attraction and love at first sight. His Uranus is conjunct my Venus so I am going to trigger this tendency big time.

I have Uranus in the Venus-ruled 7th house so am prone to same and in fact, if I am not attracted to you in the first seconds I can tell you for sure I never will be. What about you?

Dear Love,

I would not call you “dysfunctional” in relationships and I would hope you would not tag yourself in that way either - because it’s a judgment and a negative one. It sounds to me like you’re functioning just fine. You just happen to be a person who gets bored in relationships and you have lots of company on that front. Lots of people struggle in similar and same fashion - so how can it be dysfunctional when this is as common as having brown hair?

So you’re not dysfunctional but you do have a problem: you have a stellium in Libra (which wants to be partnered)… but you also have Uranus ruling the 7th house, which detaches and wants to be liberated from relationship. And this is what you are acting out, and why you are having this same experience over and over again.

So to answer your question: no, there is no “right one” who will disappear this conflict for you but you can find a way to live with it. That is, you can own and accept the fact you do want to be partnered, but also own and accept the fact you need an inordinate amount of space and freedom in relationship. And this has nothing to do with the qualities of whoever it is you are involved in.

It may sound daunting but the fact is that there are legions of people out there feel exactly the same way. And if you can get yourself conscious about this (know yourself) and find someone who has some consciousness about themselves, you can be just fine having a partner that does not restrict you and being a partner who does not restrict…

But dysfunctional? No. In reality, you are firing on all cylinders so just get to know your cylinders. Look under the hood, you know?
