I was thinking of something which made me think of something I heard Janice Dickinson say once in an interview. That is that the first thing Sylvester Stallone does with his dates is send them to a surgeon for body modifications… namely breasts which reminds me he is a Cancer but besides that the thing that gets me about Janice is she is an obvious truth teller and it’s not that common is it?

This led me to look for her chart and it turns out she is an Aquarian with a Sagittarius Moon. It is the Sadge Moon doing the blurting and she has the ruler of her Sun and Moon (Uranus and Jupiter) conjunct so nothing would suit her better than to blurt the shocking truth.

If you want to take it further, the conjunction is in Cancer so how about the shocking truth about Cancer, Sly Stallone? Ha ha ha, I love astrology but here is the question:

Do you know any obvious truth tellers? Add the astrology if you know it.

I wrote this morning:

“The new wrinkle today is the Moon in Taurus moves out of the grand trine in earth and squares Neptune instead which is pretty much a cow standing in a field crying for reasons unbeknownst to him or her.”

Turns out I am the cow! Today someone I have been talking to at length for a week… with whom I thought I had total credibility told me they only believed 10-20% of what I said. Can you believe that? I was stupefied.

Piya asks re: Liars Who Tell You The Truth:

“Like, what sort of “lies” are these? I mean … are they like, saying something and then modifying it to mean something different later?”

Yes. It sounds like this:

“Yeah, sorry about that. I didn’t want to tell you at the time because of this and this and this reason…”
Or, “Yeah, sorry Mom. I know I shouldn’t lie but I thought you might be mad if you found out so I just told you this instead. Do you forgive me?”

And the fact is I do forgive her (and him) and some other truth-telling liars in my life. Because I know as a matter of fact that lying is part of the package and lecturing or trying to control the natural nature of someone is a ridiculous pursuit. I also know there is a shadow side to constant, consistent, relentless truth-telling.

See, I grew up with both of these. One of my sisters is a double Sagittarius. The other has a Sagittarius Moon conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius but she also has Venus in Gemini and that sister would consistently lie then confess, lie then tell the truth, lie than tell the truth and then lie and confess. “I have to tell you I was lying when I said that,” she’d say. Hah!

Meanwhile my other sister would never lie. You got the truth, the truth, the truth, the truth until you wanted to hide under the bed to escape it! So fact is there is no perfect way to be so intention becomes key.

Are you well intentioned?

(Ha ha, that’s a joke ya’ll).

I’ve been thinking about the truth-telling liars I know. I attract them and no, it’s not because I am one. Remember that debate? It was grand. Does Like Attracts Like? Or Is There Another Explanation?

So yeah. I’m not a truth telling liar but I am (and always have been) closely associated with people who are and I have a theory as to why. They’re interesting!

As for current, both my daughter and the soldier routinely lie and tell the truth. They both have Gemini and can readily lie for any number of reasons or even for no reason at all other than to keep things interesting.

But they both have Jupiter in Sagittarius and in the end, the truth comes out and not because they’re found out. The truth comes out because they just can’t lie.

And understanding their natures, I cut them a lot of slack but last night I thought I should wonder why. Because there have been times I’ve ejected people from my life for this exact behavior and you know what they say. If someone can do it, they can do it you.

I can do it so realizing this; I thought I better figure out just exactly how much this pisses me off. You know. Could I be mad as hell… a Mars in Libra powder keg ready to blow?

I thought this possible but once focused I was able to see what distinguished current situations from the situations I’ve reacted strongly to in the past. Basically it comes down to motive. Why is this person lying? Is it manipulative? Is it something sinister or the reason more benign?

In the case of the soldier and my daughter, their lies are sort of funny. Although they are technically lies, I see them more as placeholders for the truth… ::snort:: …which will be along shortly.

And I will come back on this (it is a Saturn in Virgo topic) but meantime, do you know any truth-telling liars?

My daughter is 11 and she’s an eccentric by anyone’s standards. She has Jupiter in Sagittarius. Yesterday she walked home from the bus stop with one her pals, stopping in to ask she could walk her friend home before coming home for good, which is usual for her, most days. I said yes and she asked if she could take the phone, which was unusual. But I let her without question because she’s only gone ten minutes. I figured her friend had a cell phone and she wanted one too.

So anyway, back in the day the soldier was already a soldier, but he was the nerdy, engineer, scientist type. And this is very different from a soldier who spends 20 years in Special Forces, going on every mission he possibly can. Yes, I have an opinion and will offer my advice on this but I am not sure you should take it. Because you are not me, and I’ll explain:

I don’t think you should tell this guy about your indiscretion unless he asks you directly and I have a lot of reasons for this.

Number one, this was an aberrant act on your part. It does not represent your character. It is something you greatly regret that happened in a moment of weakness and I think you’re suffered enough over it. I think you should just forgive yourself and put thing to bed for good.

And from his perspective… well if I was him, I would not want to hear about this. Seriously! I don’t need to know every little detail about my partner and I think you should consider this very carefully. Who will you be liberating when you spill this secret? Will it benefit him? Personally, I don’t think so. But this is my perspective! And I am not you with your four planets in Sagittarius.

Now Sagittarians are pretty obsessed with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But there is such a thing as inflicting the truth on a person and I have a grand example.

Once I was on a date with a guy with a ring in his pocket. He was to propose to me that evening, but he was a Sagittarius rising big mouth and he wound up telling me all about this blow job he had once… (you can read the story here) instead. And did I want to hear about this? No! I begged him to shut up! I was seeing pictures of the act in my head as he was talking, sure to negatively affect our sex life which I coveted, but he would not shut up and in fact chased me outside the restaurant continuing to pummel me with his truth as I tried in vain to escape.

So here’s the thing. You are you and you may just need to come clean to be you! But I am me and I am telling you that most people don’t need or want to see every freckle on your butt. So I say, spare him. If this story needed air, it’s got it. You told my blog, right? You have broadcast this now so perhaps this will allow you to let it go and move on to your happy future.

Dear Cheated On,

I don’t know what you should do. I can only tell you what I would do and I have a tremendous bias on this issue. I would leave the guy, hands down. But this is because I place such a high value on trust. If I can’t trust a person, I find them worse than useless! Seriously. I am not neutral, I am negative on the individual who betrays me (or others). And once I feel like that, there is really no choice in the matter, I’ve got to cut my losses. I’ve got to walk.

Now specific to your situation, this guy is not showing any sensitivity to you at all. And you say you feel like a shell. So would I stay with a man who had me feeling like a shell? No. I would want to live. I would want to thrive. Do you want to live? Do you want to thrive? If you do, I have a map for you.

Number one, you have a Capricorn Moon. You will have to face your fear! You will have to take responsibility for your emotions. You will have to parent yourself!

If you decide to take that challenge, the next step is to develop some faith. You are in a jail, see. You have Venus conjunct Neptune, and you think you are chained to this situation, but this is an error. The idea that the door is locked is an illusion. You are free to go at any time. And this is the tack that will get you out of this. Thoughts of freedom, I mean. Thoughts of escape and of being unchained, and free to move about in the world.

So stop with the fear, and focus instead on the truth. The truth is that there are millions of men out there. So what in the world makes you think a kind and loyal person can’t snag one of them, hmmm?
