Pluto Leaving Sagittarius For Capricorn: Trends In Society You Would Like To See Die…

Trends in the Collective

plutoI wrote this 18 months ago but it’s again relevant as Pluto is about to leave Sagittarius… won’t be back for 240 years. Can you add to this list?

Personally I am tired of everyone’s genitals (Pluto) being published (Sadge). I am tired of the contents of everyone’s trash (Pluto) being broadcast (Sadge). Spare me! Can we stop dissecting people (Pluto) in the press? Please, begs Libra.

This is like the color “mauve” in the early 90’s. It was a great color until we became saturated with it. Once it hit Walmart, it’s over for chrissakes. Is there anyone’s crotch we’ve not seen?

I am also sick of books and articles that are titled “Five Ways To Blah, Blah, Blah”. Or “Seven Secrets To A Satisfying Blah, Blah”.

Yes this was an effective way to manipulate people at one time but it’s over now, yes? God, I hope so.

As Pluto leaves Sagittarius what trends do you hope draw their last breath?

metrosexualLast week, I was talking to the soldier about the man - poll. Astrology and Attraction: Men, Women, Sexuality, Mars And Raw Male Energy In Nature
He represents a Mars (raw male energy) archetype.

“I was right. Women really don’t want a man… the kind of man you are. I actually took a poll on my blog and I was surprised because I was even more right than I expected. Only 17% checked they wanted as much man as they could get and no doubt some of the people who clicked that were gay men. And I clicked it so you see what I am saying. You’re not so in demand, I’m sorry to say. Although a good number checked they wanted fairly high testosterone, the most popular sought after man is a balance of yin and yang.”

“Dang! Well I’m sorry to hear but it sure explains a lot.”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah, they don’t want a man until the wolf is at the door and when that happens there won’t be enough of us to go around.”

“Hmm. I hadn’t thought of that, but it sounds right.”

A few days later…

“I’m jealous, P. I am jealous as shit of you,” he said.

“Why? Tell me why that is.”

“Because you’re a hot commodity.”

I laughed.

“And I’m a cold commodity.”

“Oh, okay. Yeah well that’s true. That’s the trend at the moment but you know how that goes. Everyone is naked and then everyone is covered. Hemlines up and down. I think you’ll be back in style in your lifetime, we’ll see. And then what am I going to do? Be pissed, I guess. Be pissed and ready to do something maniacal. Scream my head off and cause a problem, I guess. Swear a lot, my usual MO.”

He laughed.

Do you think metrosexuality is on the upswing and/or here to stay?

Astrology And The Collective: Lower Your Expectations - Is This A New Trend?

July 2nd, 2007 @ 8:09 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

in vogueDo you ever think about lowering your expectations? This is another concept I think may come into vogue as a way to solve problems as Saturn leaves Leo for earthy Virgo and Jupiter and Pluto land in Capricorn post their transit of high flying, inflated Sagittarius.

For example what if someone told you most relationships fail because people expect too much of them? Would it move you to lower your expectations so that you might have something real as opposed to ideal?

This is not new. Ben quotes Katherine Hepburn who said, “You can’t have everything,” and she was surely not the first to think such a thing but what if this became the prevailing attitude? Because I think with the shift to the Earth signs this may be exactly what we get.

bronco bearSo after coping with the Saturn Neptune opposition for all these months it seems to me we are now going to have to cope with reality as it is revealed. And judging from my personal experience reality is going to be stark. And this is a new and unusual experience for me.

I have enough Capricorn I am completely capable of feeling dread and expecting doom around every corner even though what I fear almost never manifests. But now I am having the opposite experience. I am finding out all kinds of things much worse that I could have ever imagined and I am pretty sure the collective is have a similar experience here pretty quick.

It’s sort of like those Beanie Babies that were so popular when all the planets lined up in Taurus and everyone and their brother became a “collector”. At the height of this, they handed out these bears at a Denver Bronco game, one per customer and people were able to scalp them in the parking lot of $1000. But not everybody did. Holding out for more bucks, right? Taurus greed! Continue reading Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: What About the Aftermath?

Perils of Being Aquarius… and the Pluto Transit to my Natal Moon

March 31st, 2007 @ 3:07 pm by Elsa

Ask the Collective…

food for the soulNow I am not an Aquarian, but both my parents are UBER-Aquarian so I know quite a bit about the sign. And my editor, HQ who keeps a blog was jerking my chain today. He accomplished this by posting a blog using my language. Yeah. Slick.

So I saw this, ignored it and left a comment. Because I don’t own the English language, right? People can use whatever words they want, whenever they want, however, etc. And I know that. But after I commented, he emailed to bring my attention to his craft. Continue reading Perils of Being Aquarius… and the Pluto Transit to my Natal Moon
