Vid went to a school for the gifted (along with my daughter) during 1^st and 2^nd grade.  I had to pull him out the summer before 3^rd grade due my family hardship stemming from my daughter’s illness. He really did not want to leave this school. He is a Taurus and hates change but besides that he’d just gotten used to the place.

My son severed his friendship with the the quirky Aquarian this weekend and it’s been an enormous challenge for me as well as a learning experience that is unparalleled in my lifetime.  I am going to try to write about this so you can judge the situation yourself but the upshot is this:

Sometimes a child really can make the best call. In this case, the 9 year old was not only able to read the situation better than his mother, he had the courage and strength of his convictions to to take appropriation action in spite of it being painful and difficult.

Jessica asked regarding Children With Difficult Aspects In Their Chart…

“So what do you tell Vidroid about Sun-Saturn? How do you phrase it to him?”

Rather than act like what has happened has not happened, I’ve told him that he has had to grow up very fast and that I am very sorry. I told him that I thought it was very unfortunate that he has had to take care of himself and has had to live without as much support as he deserves but that he has done an extraordinarily good job of taking care of not only himself but of his sister and for that matter, he has taken care of me. He has helped me tremendously and I told him I was incredibly proud of him for this.

I’ve also told him that I don’t know why some people have lives that are harder than others or how he got stuck with one of this type but that he had done a terrific job of coping and that I was sure that his life would get easier when he grew up. I came right out and told him, I did not really see how it could be worse so it would have to get better if he could just hang in.

Quite a few people who have Mars in aspect to Pluto surfaced on the Evolutionary Astrology Perspective piece to say they had been molested. While this manifestation is certainly not a given, I would say the fact that someone with an aspect between Mars and Pluto in their chart is at increased risk is undeniable.

Now I just heard from a mother of a daughter who has Mars in aspect to Pluto in her chart and being as she can read a chart, she keeps extra close tabs on her but is that enough? I don’t think so. Because that energy is going to be expressed one way or the other. You can’t just “avoid” something in your chart… something that is part of your destiny.

About a week ago, Vidroid started digging a hole in the backyard alongside the soldier working on his giant sawhorses. Later the soldier told me that Vid said he was digging to the center of the earth.

“Yeah?” I said. “I had the same ambition when I was a kid.  Confidence and delusion, it runs in the family.”

He just stared and then 3 days later, Vid’s friend was over and they were digging some more. Keep in mind my grandfather dug a hole in his yard big enough to make an underground house… with a shovel! The soldier reported in:

“They made plans,’ he said. “They have a list of things they’re going to take.”

Today I dropped my son at the bus stop for his last day of school. I was singing on the way, something like this:

“I love, Love, LOVE you! I Luuuuvvvvvvvvve, la la luvvvvvvve you!”

I don’t sing very well but never pay attention to this unless it is called to my attention which is what happened this morning when I pulled up at the curb and stopped to let him out.  There was one girl there, waiting for the bus.

“That’s not Emmy is it?” I asked, understanding she is now getting off the bus with him, one stop ahead of her usual. Might she show up in the morning too?

“That’s not Emmy,” he said, putting his hand on the door handle. “Now, Mom. Is there anything else you want to say before I open this door and be humiliated?”

I stared. I was stunned and then broke into a grin because he was grinning himself, slightly.  “Do you mean you wouldn’t rather I not sing for that girl.”

He nodded.

“Okay then. Gotcha. It’s safe - You can open the door.

He got out and I drove away thinking, this is a curse.  He’s a Sun Saturn (take me serious!) with a Jupiter Moon mother (rollicking good times) - What’s the boy to do?

Vidroid came home from school yesterday and reported he’s been snagged! Not by Belle, but by Emmy!

He was extremely happy but stressed with the two women and all. He was also upset that school ends in 3 days so he only gets to be partnered briefly but he likes, Emmy who snagged him from right under Belle’s nose.

We quizzed Vid… the same thing you want to know, is Belle aware of the new situation? He said she wasn’t and I asked him what he was going to do if she asked him about it.

“Tell her, my heart is not a toy!” the soldier blurted. We all dissolved into laughter.

“What else should I tell her?” Vidroid asked, his Scorpio Mars taking notes.

“Tell her, look here. I liked you. I pined for you. I lost sleep over you but now? Well now I have been hit by the the thunderbolt and this is just what happens, it is the way that it is.”

Vidroid beamed.

He also came home today pledging his total allegiance to Emmy.

The friend who betrayed my son earlier this week has apologized and restored the friendship. I am skeptical since this boy has a distinct pattern of becoming very close to my son and then dumping him coldly.

It has never made sense because they hang out together at one house or the other 7 days a week so I always wonder what this kid thinks he’s doing. He is entirely compatible with my son. I have never witnessed conflict of any kind so I have no idea what this kid is acting out but apparently it is something. And I think he is fortunate because my son can transcend but what a baffling situation.

My son pulled his yearbook from his backpack as I was dropping him at the bus stop yesterday. “Here’s this, I forgot,” he said.

I was surprised but it occurred to me immediately, “Is Belle in here?”

Last night my son was reminiscing and he told me about a time he had no friends…

“So I drew some friends, cut them out and pinned them to my shirt,” he said.

I was stunned. “Did that work? Did it get you some friends?”

“Nope,” he said, not sounding sad.

We were talking about the argument he’d had with his best friend at school. His friend told him he did not want to be friends anymore but I reminded my son he’s been through this with Jesus before and I thought sure they would make up within a couple days.

“You’re at each other’s house almost everyday. I am sure he is going to miss you,” I said.

Happy to report he got off the bus today and said I was a wizard… in fact the friendship was repaired but here’s my point:
