Astrology, Neptune And Pluto: Acting On A Feeling vs A Primal Drive

“I get feelings, and try to act on them. I don’t usually know where they come from, and even when I try to figure it out, it takes SO much more energy to try and logically explain them-and even then, I’m not sure if I’m coming up with an explanation or rationalization-it’s much easier to just listen to them and go on. And they’re always right, so why fight it?”

Open Question: How Much Of What You Do Is Subconsciously Driven?

Ask the collective

conscious_subconscious.jpgIt was at my Saturn return I really became aware of how unconscious I was of my own motivations. I have significant Capricorn so discovering this was harrowing. It was also horrifying because say what? What do you mean I’m not in control!? I better damned so be in control.

But I learned that not only was I partially being driven by my subconscious, I was primarily being driven by my subconscious and when I really came to know this as a fact, I made friends with the idea.

I realized I had navigated pretty damned well for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing which meant I did know what I was doing, it simply was not in my conscious mind. So now all these years later, if you know me you hear me say things like this:

“I don’t know what I am up to but I am obviously doing something…”

I also say this all the time:

“Let my subconscious take care of it, see what it wants to do.  I am just not going to worry about that at all.”

I have learned to trust my subconscious implicitly because what else am I to do? I become conscious when and if and in my case if the when comes, it usually takes about 10 years for me to really understand what I have done and that is at best. 15 or 20 may be more realistic but anyway, here is my question:

See that graphic? I think that’s about right. I think 90% falls below the line in my case. But I want to know if others agree. Is it due a packed eighth house - so much depth it takes this long for things to surface or is the 90/10 thing universal?

When it comes to consciousness…

Mississippi Ban On Fat People Eating In Public, Oppressive Government And What’s Embedded In Your Psyche

Astrology in real life

stephen hawkingThis topic, the Mississippi Fat Ban has me stunned and mesmerized so I just keep writing. Excellent example of Saturn (restriction) in Virgo (diet) and Pluto in Capricorn (Shadow side of the government).

Yesterday I went to the gym and I was thinking about all this fat ban business, the prospect of seeing our rights dissolve beneath us and the possibility of leaving the country for a better life. I thought of this and then I thought of that and then I thought of it.

Operating Semi-Consciously At Best, And On Impulse - However, There Is One Heck Of A Foundation

Commenting on the comments…

subconsciousjoana writes, regarding my 1 minute astrology “uniform” on the Saint, Sinner, Designated Victim blog…

I think it’s GENIUS that you bought those shirts to serve as a uniform. You really have given this projection thing a lot of thought, a lot of past experiences no doubt…

But I love those shirts! :)

joana, thank you but I gave it no thought at all. I decided to make videos, stopped in an Old Navy to get something for my daughter, saw those colored shirts, bought a stack of them (2 for $15 as I recall) - came home and put on two of them (at a time, remember? Astrology, Fashion and Color) in front of a camera all in about 45 min.

In other words, from conception until the time something was loaded took less than an hour because when Mars Mercury decides to do something, that thing is done. It was days later… maybe two weeks later that I realized via a conversation with satori what I had done and why.

Thing is, most of the time I have no idea what I am doing. I do what I feel I should. I do what I feel directed to do and I trust myself, knowing that if I mess up, there is always an apology that can be made.

And on that front, the apology can be accepted or not but at this point, I feel I can fall back on my body of work as far as my character goes. Not just my work on this blog, but the work of my entire life and there is plenty of that. But on this site alone, there are nearly 3000 blogs and if you can’t figure out I am a decent person from that, I am pretty sure you’re a moron. :-)

Personally, I think I am perhaps 20% aware of what I am up to and often don’t see the grand scheme (what I was really up to) for a dozen years at least and 20 is more like it. What about you?

How much of what you do is conscious?

Astrology and the Subconscious: Your Experience With Planets in the 8th House

Astrology in Real Life…

subconsciouswyrdling writes on Serial Killer Afterthoughts: (edited to add capital letters)

Hmm. I try to see what I’m doing with the 8th house stuff. Otherwise it bites me.

I’m really touchy about the 8th house. I hear/read all these Bad Things and I don’t think I’m a Bad People

wyrdling - I rely on my 8th house. I rely on my subconscious and trust I know what I am doing even when I don’t know what I am doing, and sometimes don’t find out just exactly what I did until years after the fact. I have no choice but to operate this way.

It means I live with full knowledge that what I believe is motivating me is just one of the things motivating me. I am very aware I am moved by other forces beneath my level of consciousness and there is nothing I can do about it. It is called going you’re your gut!

I routinely go with my gut and find out what my gut was up to sometimes years or even decades later when I happen to trip over the knowledge which is almost always alarming. But I like living this way. I have never been bored in my life.

Got planets in the 8th? Tell us.
