On the topic of Astrology and a Person’s energy in a room, separate but related, when I was pregnant with my first baby another astrologer told me that when a baby is born, their energy comes into the room in a profound way.   She said if I paid attention, I’d be able to feel it.  Who is this baby? Who is this new person coming into the world?

She said it was rising sign of the soul that would fill the room. The rising sign is the first handshake and this seemed to compute.  As I mentioned in the last piece, it’s the Jupiter on my ascendant that fills the room, initially.

Last night in the bathtub the soldier and I were talking about Einstein and his brain. We were talking about his remark around the idea a person should be able to explain something to a small child if they really understood it and soldier who has studied Einstein extensively said that he himself failed at this.

“Yeah, he tried it. He tried to explain things to the kids in his family but they didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. They just acted like they did because their parents told them to.”

Massage therapy is (relatively) new here. We can thank other cultures for its introduction into the American culture, but back when I was a kid there was no such thing as going to get a massage. There were no massage therapy schools… it just did not exist. Now this has changed. Massage and it benefits are well and widely known. You can buy massage oil anywhere however…

However when I re-hooked up with the soldier, I found to my shock he had never had a massage in his life. That may be hard to believe but it’s true. He has not been with women who care all that much about him and seeing as he has spent most his life in the jungle… well all these cultural changes took place unbeknownst to him. So long story short, I was of course going to introduce him to massage.

Regarding this soul merge thing (Merging Souls? Who Would Want To Do This?) I think the concept is ethereal but the mechanics behind it are not and I thought I would record some of this stuff. For you, because I think it’s interesting and for me so I can have more clarity.

Now the soldier read my book which is about my life or at least part of it and the book ends at a Fleetwood Mac concert. I didn’t intend it to end there… it was HQ’s genius that ended the book there but in whatever case, I would describe this day as significant in my life. And I wrote the truth of that day as I understood it but then the soldier read it.

And some months later he was doing his psychic thing… he had his antenna and he (for the time ever) tuned into me on this specific day in my life and he could feel my feelings.

So he told me about this. He told me what I felt… what was going on inside me that day and the fact he was right was undeniable. I do think people know the truth when they hear it but beyond that, once reminded the feelings came back in a rush. And this was hard for us.

It was hard for him… very hard for a plethora of reasons and it was hard for me because here is someone poking around gaining access to information you didn’t know was there. And we related this to sex at the time.

If you’re our type you can and do stumble across things about the partner during sex. In fact when I was young and more cowboy I used to say it just like this:

“You don’t know anything about a person until and unless you sleep with them, yep! If you want to know someone, get in the bed otherwise you have no idea what you’re dealing with.”

I called the man in the last advice blog, who left his lover of 2 years without explanation an “empty vessel”. Several people have posted to disagree with me, which is fine. There is nothing I like better than diverse opinions. But since so many argued for this man, I thought I would explain my thinking.

I think if you are in a long-standing intimate love relationship, and you want to leave it for any reason whatsoever, that’s fine. It’s your life.

But I feel it is common decency to face the person who has been your lover and tell them something. This is a person who has loved and cared for you, and shared their body with you. And if you can walk away without so much as a word, to leave them high and dry, wondering and traumatized… well as far as I am concerned this is a soulless thing to do. It’s horrible. It’s horrific. It’s shameful. It’s putrid.

And when your heart is wired to your soul or to your self or however you want to say it… well you just don’t do this to another human being, especially someone you love, who has loved you so deeply. “I’m going to just quit calling and he’ll figure it out…” There is just no way a whole person with their heart functioning could or would do this to another human being.

Oh! And being gay, is no excuse. If anything this should increase sensitivity to the partner’s feelings. Like this man who got left doesn’t have enough to deal with! Sorry, man. There is no excuse for being a worm.

I was talking to Ben last night, my very close friend of 20 years +. Ben is a Scorpio with an Aquarius rising. He a gay cello player / teacher of mixed race… and an iconoclast.

“Someone in Wichita told me I had an old soul” he said. “And I suppose I do. I imagine I’ve wandering around these halls for awhile.”

“I have no idea,” I said. “I don’t think in that kind of paradigm.”

“You don’t?”

“No. I have no idea how to judge something like that. I have no idea how old someone’s soul is. I haven’t got the slightest idea. I have a friend that does, though. She tells me this person is older than that person and stuff like that but I have no idea where she gets her information.”

“You don’t believe in that?”

“No, it’s not that. I have no idea about it. It sounds good. I tend to believe what she says, actually. She makes sense. I am just saying ideas like that don’t originate in me. I would never say, hey! He’s an old soul. Or she’s an old soul. Because I don’t know. But I figure she does. This is something she knows. I mean, it’s not like she’s not a flake. She’s not running around saying soul mate left and right and being all flippy. I respect her, is what I’m saying. So when she tells me something like this, I figure she knows what she’s talking about. Like the woman who said that to you in Wichita. Maybe she knows. She probably does. But I don’t have any idea how to know how old someone’s soul is. It’s not my paradigm.”

“I see.”

“But I do like the idea. It makes sense. Because some people are incredibly lightweight so it’s an explanation for that, anyway. It’s an idea that works.”

“Lightweight? You can say that again. Some people are a blank slate. They don’t seem to get it at all. It’s like they don’t understand a thing and they can’t learn.”

“I know. But I just don’t think in those terms of how old someone’s soul is. I would not attribute that to old or new soul because I just have no idea about that kind of thing. It’s remote from me so I can’t use that kind of language. But I’ll tell you what does originate inside of me, though.”

“What?”

“When I meet someone who acts their whole chart. When they have all their pieces integrated. Or most of them. It’s like a person who is firing on all their cylinders, rather than denying who they are. Or projecting huge pieces of themselves onto other people and just completely unaware of what they’re doing. A person who acts like themselves, exactly as they are… I call that an actualized person.”

“Oh. Yes. That resonates with me as well.”

“Well, I’m not surprised. You were like this from the day I met you. Do you remember back then? Think of the pictures. Think of how we looked back then. We were very cute. We were babies!”

“Yes we were babies! But we didn’t know it.”

“I know. But even back then you were completely who you are. You were already completely integrated whether you knew it or not and this is what I’m talking about. You were something else. You were very compelling to everyone, and being young and stupid was irrelevant to that. You still had all your sides firing. And I could give you examples of this. Of stuff and stories from back then that proves this. So you have always been fully actualized but as to how you got that way, I have no idea.”
