Astrology And Parenting: Pluto In Capricorn Breaking Down The Barrier Between Men And Women

Ask the collective

cracked foundationLike my son, some of my friends, my clients and the people who write me for advice are benefiting from my association with the soldier. I have taken to straight out asking for his opinion in certain circumstances.

I specifically consult with him when a man’s behavior is involved and the situation is not clear to me because invariably he can tell me what the man is up to in about 4 seconds and this is enormously helpful and valuable.

Venomous Women - More On The Unconscious Mars

venomous-snake.jpg“Men hate that,” the soldier said. “They hate women like that.”

“No kidding? They don’t like women who are nasty to other women? I didn’t know if they would care about that or not.”

“Hell no, men don’t like venomous women. Those women who are vicious? No I don’t think men like women like that at all.”

“Why not?”

“Well you see them being vicious to other woman you figure they’ll do it to you eventually.”

“Yes, I guess that is obvious. I don’t know much about them because I avoid them like the plague. It makes me ill to be around women like that so I just get as far away from them as I can, as fast as I can.”

“Good idea.”

How do you handle venomous women when you come across them?

Speaking Of Two Shadow Figures Joining Forces, What About Amy Winehouse And Blake?

Astrology in Real Life

winehouse blake beat upContinuing on this theme, What Happens When Two Shadow Figures Join Forces, look at these two.

It’s pretty easy to look at these two and feel you have no problems at all, but do you really have no problems at all?

I bet you have all kinds of problems.

So how about looking away from these two and their problems and taking a look at the problems in your own life?

In other words, take responsibility (Capricorn) for your shadow (Pluto). Hmmm.

Pretty sure this is the path to real (Capricorn) healing (Pluto).

What Happens When Two Shadow Figures Join Forces? Pluto, Scorpio And The 8th House

Astrology in real life

scorpioI first got in contact with the soldier in 2003 when Pluto was transiting my Sun. A Pluto Moon transit is infinitely easier to cope with but I did the best I could back then and one of the ways I coped was by writing the astrology mailing lists. More specifically, I wrote to one list, the one that did not kick me off or find me too repulsive that is.

Because “intense” does not cover it. I was writing this stuff that apparently was beyond what could be read because I was getting kicked off lists and banned left and right. The soldier was telling me his Special Forces stories at the time and he was not messing around. I guess he’d never talked to anyone before in his life and once he got started… Whew!

I worked to contain the energy he was pouring into me, all of it from the darkest of the dark shadow you can find. It was like being able to conduct a rare interview except for I never asked any questions.

Collecting Benefits From The Shadow Of The Collective…

Astrology in real life

treeline war Jupiter trines to the 8th house alive and well. The soldier and I on the phone last night…

“Does she know about Iran and the hostages?” I asked. I was talking about a friend of his who is now reading my blog.

“No one knows about that,” he said. “I don’t tell anyone that.”

“Oh, well I do. I wrote about on my blog,” I said, both embarrassed and amused.

“That’s on your blog?”

Astrology Q & A: The 7th House And Projection In Relationship: Embracing Your Shadow

Astrology Q&A

psychology projectionAvery Says:

Okay, so I was reading just last night (!) about projection, the Shadow, and the 7th house from this lady: Rebeca Eigan

She says that if we’re consistently attracting stuff we don’t like in our partners, what we need to do is to embody those qualities ourselves so we’re not as attracted and attached to them in the Other.

So, let’s say I’m attracted to closet sex addicts and people who can’t commit to lunch, let alone anything long-term. By her logic, I now need to become the unavailable one and I dunno, troll Craigslist for multiple one-night stands so I’ll no longer attract people like that. Elsa, do you agree? I really don’t want to embrace my Shadow to that extent, but honey, my usual MO ain’t working, either.

Jupiter And Pluto Leaving Sagittarius For Capricorn: The Paparazzi, George Clooney, Dead Babies, Cocaine And The Shadow Side

Astrology in real life

george clooneyA couple days ago George Clooney spoke about the paparazzi breaking laws and putting celebrities in danger…

“What they’re doing is illegal, its high speed chases and they’re competing with each other. They’re not trying to catch me doing something stupid, they’re trying to create me doing something stupid. You don’t get to break all these laws and then say ‘I’m just doing my job.’ The guys that commit all these crimes are rewarded for it. It creates bounty hunters in a way. “

<snip>

“I am the son of an anchorman. I don’t want to restrict anyone’s rights. Take your pictures but don’t go 60 mph down a one way street. Don’t cause injury to people who aren’t involved.”

Astrology and Psychology: Projecting Your Shadow And Various Other Sundries…

Astrology in real life…

dogs playing pokerOn the drive to New Mexico, I was thinking about Kate (Kate Mulvey Can’t Get A Date And It’s Because Of You!) and trying to fathom her and people like her. People who project their shadow onto others, that is. How do they get that way? Better yet, how do they stay that way?

How can a person be faced with overwhelming evidence there is some problem (such as every man they meet runs for the hills) yet continue to deny any culpability or wrongdoing? This is baffling to me. And it made me think of when I was a kid, playing cards.

I used to play cards like crazy when I was a kid. I played with adult men and I was fiercely competitive and ambitious. I wanted to win everything, every time and played those cards with every cell in my body. And here’s the thing about projection:

When I lost a hand, I did not imagine it was because the person across from me was inept in some way. Or better yet, that everyone at the table was flawed!

But this is what Kate and people like her do. And maybe via this analogy you can see if you do this, it is going to be absolutely impossible to progress. You simply have to deal with yourself.

We all project to some extent all the time. If you have oppositions in your chart (especially to personal planets) you are going to be far more prone but no one is immune. We all have a 7th house which is routinely projected. And if we’re talking about the shadow… well that’s Pluto, but any energy can be projected. Your anger for example and even your desirability!

What do you project? What’s in your 7th house?

Carrying The Shadow For The Collective: Scorpio, 8th House, Pluto Types - It’s Relentless

Astrology in real life

shadowRegarding the 6 year old hero who fought off her rapist or whatever happened (there is no link to the story)…. I wanted to make another point. I have already made it but I want to make it again.

If you’re 6, and you’re effective then I guess that is fine because you are cute and you make a good story. But if you are 35 and effective this is a different story.

Because now and then a rapist does pick the wrong gal to victimize. Like the gal I heard of when I took a self defense class. She had some training so with the intruder on top her, she reached down, grabbed one his balls and squeezed hard enough to pop it which cause egregious injury to a man. And that guy did not die but let’s say he did.

That would make her a women who had a man die in her bed! And can you see how everyone would take a step back?

2 women, equivalent in all ways. One of them has had a rapist die in her bed, the other has not. Who do you think the man is going to ask out? Can you see how the first gal might have fared better accepting the rape? She’s now marked.

The point here is you cannot win. If you are the type that carries the shadow then you are going to carry the shadow. Because let’s go back to the first gal and let’s say she did NOT pop the guy’s testicle. In that scenario it sounds like this:

“I don’t know why she didn’t pop that guy’s nut. She had a self defense class and she knew what to do. There was this 6 year old I heard of and even she knew better than to blah, blah, blah.”

And it’s back to Elvis Costello… “Nobodies fault, but we need somebody to burn…”

Who in your life wears your shadow?
