Saturn is nearly exactly opposing Uranus and there is a lot of talk of rebelling against the old guard and freedom after oppression. On this blog I’ve spent a lot of time writing about the mechanism of the opposition which is what is most interesting to me.

Rare a day goes where I don’t question who is oppressing who, or who is controlling who. Having Libra I can see the positions are interchangeable and I have been really focused on this aspect in terms of relationship. For example I have been on a bloody tear around people’s attempts to control or fix me (Saturn in Virgo) rather than allow me freedom as an individual (Uranus).

They oppress me and I oppress them right back.

Uranus rules astrology and with Saturn opposing, career comes to mind. I really think astrology is going mainstream and seems to me to be ready to come up like some kind of rogue wave. However I am an astrologer and in reality I am finding it harder and harder.

I was on the phone with the soldier:

“Did you hear we are going to have 20,000 soldier patrolling inside the country?”

“What?”

“There are going to be 20,000 soldier mulling around for homeland security. Er… like Israel.”

“Why don’t they put them on the border (Saturn)… defend the border so we can live free (Uranus)?”

“Good question, that’s the way I’d do it. But as it is, this is supposed to be Utopia which apparently requires soldiers all over the place to enforce it.”

The Moon has moved into Cancer but never mind that. It’s passed the the exact opposition with Pluto, the Moon loves to be in Cancer so let’s not worry about it and instead turn attention to the aspect that’s got everyone up in arms.

I mean even Pluto changing signs. Do we not all know the ball is going drop by now? I think we do! I think many of us are saying, drop already you bastard! But this Saturn Uranus opposition? Well that’s a whole other story. (swearing below the break)

What freaks!

The soldier put on his green Frankenstein makeup and of course he added black and when I put the scar on him, the result was CAMO- Frankenstien.

P put on her Bride makeup - lipstick crooked, so often a problem for me as long term readers know and the result?

Well it’s not good!

I snapped our picture and good thing we love each other because no one else would. We are more like those two then I ought to admit!

Also, this is Dora’s first Halloween as she has lived in the sticks - no trick-or-treaters but she’s handing out candy too. Poor Vid has freaks (Uranus) as parents (Saturn)

Happy Halloween, y’all!

The other day I disagreed with something someone said and they came back quickly, “Well, that’s because you’re uniformed.”

A day later someone else told me I didn’t know “shit from shinola” when I disagreed with them.

I ended both these conversations quickly and I realize these people sound hideous however they are not hideous so it just goes to show what can suddenly (Uranus) be come out of your mouth (Virgo) if you are not careful (Saturn).

Personally I am trying to avoid brilliant, progressive, ahead of their time, humanitarians (Uranus).

I am also trying to avoid people who oppress via criticism (Saturn in Virgo)… and so often they are the same person.

You really have to stay vigilant to not fall prey to this one. Find something positive to do with the energy…

All in all the sky is pretty doable. The Moon is in Leo and combined with planets in Sagittarius, Fire has support so people get things done. There is honor out there which also helps. People want respect and are more apt to give it then we’ve seen recently.

Mars is in Scorpio so more indications there should be little problem getting things done so how you fare comes down to how lofty your goals (Jupiter in Capricorn) and how well you prioritize (Saturn). (my filthy mouth below the break)
Continue reading Astrology Today - Oh No! Not More Do-Gooding And Do-Righting!

I was talking to a pal today about the conundrum we all face with Sun and Mercury in Libra while Venus and Mars are in Scorpio. It’s just so hard to be pleasant with all the worms crawlin’ on the underside but on other fronts it occurred to me another manifestation of the Saturn opposing Uranus was the what I am starting to see out there - surprising (Uranus) coldness, sternness, rejection (Saturn).

I know there are people (a lot of them) who think they stand on one side of this opposition but I believe this impossible. Just watch as the people you believe to be compassionate (yourself included) become miserly.

I think this is an inordinately bad time to point fingers because you are highly likely (damned near guaranteed) to wind up on the other side of the equation and when it happens it will happen in a blink.

Who can relate?
