It has not occurred to me to try to pinpoint the date when the soldier and I met but the information is coming to me on it’s own.  He was Jonestown to clean up the bodies of the mass suicide in November of 1978 and the movie, “Apocalypse Now” which we saw together on it’s opening weekend was released in August of 1979.   We met in between these two events and we’d known each other awhile when the movie came out so Saturn had to at about 10-13 degrees Virgo.

The soldier and I continue to exist in a time warp. Living together now feels identical to how we lived together 30 years ago and I noticed today that our schedules are very similar now to what they were then.

The soldier has told me many times the best job he ever had in his life was the one he had when he was with me back in the day. He went to work for 2 days (overnight, a 48 hour shift) and then had 3 days off. This gave us a lot of time together.  We spent every minute we had off the job together and it was significant.

Reading over the post about the path I didn’t take and it seems I wrote it in more code than I intended.  I was talking to a pal an hour later and made it a lot plainer to her.

I told her the soldier told me some outrageous tales when we were kids.  They were outrageous but somehow they were (possibly) credible.   They were possibly incredible too but in whatever case there was no way to completely discount him. It was just not possible to say,  oh that will never happen. I couldn’t say, oh he’ll never do that because he was just too serious of mind plus he knew too much and had too many details.

This meant to sign on with him was to commit to a destiny that was daunting and went way beyond Special Forces. Special Forces was just something he felt he had to do but as this story comes together in my mind, I recall he never said he would or wanted to make a career of it. Perhaps he just needed the skills he would pick up there so he could apply them to achieving his real ambition? It is beginning to look this way to me as all the threads are beginning to weave themselves into something recognizable.

And I had another thought. I was contemplating a mail I may or may not send the soldier’s son. It concerns the path not chosen.  By some quirk of the universe (that happens to coincide perfectly with Saturn’s cycle through the zodiac) the soldier and I have the opportunity to now take the path we did not take when we were kids.  And if you are one kind of person you think, “Oh well but you’re old.”

But if you are another kind of person, the concept of time and age might mean very little. Some might think that we will do exactly and precisely what we’d have done back then had we joined out forces, we’d have just been delayed. And this is relevant because the soldier as always has wild tales. And in his case, the wild tales tend to manifest.  And the wild tales he tells now are the same wild tales he told then so might some of these things manifest now?  In other words, is it possible I have been given a 30 years in advance heads up?

::smirks::

I am afraid this might be the case. Last time I balked, this time I won’t.

Is there a path you turned away from at some point in your life? What would you do if it presented itself again?  Would age factor?

Now I swear I am sober in this but this is what happens to me when Neptune sets my chart off. Er.. you gotta admit I look sorta drunk. ::shakes head::

Dear Pisces,

I am enormously sorry you find yourself in this painful situation and while ultimately you are the only one who can make the decision what to do about this, I will give you my perspective both personal and astrological.

First, I would not be rash about doing anything because you don’t have good information. From the sound of it, you are right to question the paternity of the baby and even the validity of the pregnancy itself.  So the first thing I’d do is breathe and try to ground.

You state you love your husband and you also state what you can and cannot tolerate. I respect both positions and for what it’s worth, I am pretty I would draw the same lines in the same places. But this leaves you to wait in a very painful place as you wait for the facts to emerge.

Now astrologically, you are headed into your Saturn return and I can tell you that you will not be clear until late summer, 2009. That means you have a long distance to run here but it does not mean you have to stay on this path.

What you want to do is go slow and take your time making decisions, because the decisions you make are going to have long term repercussions and just remember this:  It is not you who is caught here.

In fact, assuming there is a baby… you are the one with all the options so just keep that in mind. This is your life and I strongly urge you to take the path that satisfies your soul. Unfortunately I don’t think this information is going to be apparent short term but ultimately you will get clarity and when you do - Leap!  And once you do, don’t look back, and don’t look down - just go forward because faith is your strongest play.
