Saturn in Virgo Anthem - “Trying To Keep The Customer Satisfied”

Outtakes and various other sundries

I grew up with this song, I probably heard it 1000 times or more and I always related to it. It really speaks to Saturn in Virgo, burden of work, barely keeping on top of it all, in constant trouble, oppressive words, lowly position…

“You’re in trouble, boy and heading into more…” Ha ha ha!

What I loved about it (then and now) is it’s exuberance in spite. Also the great irony because he says he wants to be home but I was home when heard this song and I wanted out there so bad… so bad that I left… and left… and left… and left…

Enjoy and keep this one in your archives when you’re slavin’ away for the perennially dissatisfied. ;-)

To Live In Reality Is To Be Anti-Social? POLL

Astrology in real life

I am a grounded person, one with common sense. I am astonished at how these qualities have made me some kind pariah these days but I just can’t seem to deactivate my brain.

For example when some guy gets on youtube and holds up a letter that essentially say,  “Hey, Chuck, get rid of this guy… if you kill him, we won’t prosecute you,” and it is signed “George Bush”, I tend to think someone is jerking my chain.

Discerning Lies

Astrology in real life

Saturn is squaring Venus in Gemini right now and this anecdote illustrates the energy brilliantly. The soldier has Venus in Gemini so I am the Saturn in Virgo figure of course.  He was telling me about this guy he knew who used to lie all the time.  The was guy was just a total liar, he loved to lie and in fact they would have lying contests.  “I’ll tell you some of his lies,” the soldier offered.

Saturn In Virgo: The Responsibility Of The Blog Writer vs The Blog Reader

Astrology in real life

From email:

I feel like I write a million words and if you read them eventually you will come across one that offends you.

What kills me is I am supposed to decide what might potentially provoke one of thousands of people rather than the other person maybe cutting me some slack or giving me the benefit of the doubt?

I have no idea where the piles of crap I can step in might be because I don’t know the triggers of thousands of people but I do think the onus is on the reader at least as much as it is on me to try to think before they move to react to control or squash.

I mean, if I am really a harsh bitch (and I am sure some think I am) - they are reading the wrong blog.

If I am not a harsh bitch and prove it day in and day out then maybe it is the reader who ought to get a grip.

Saturn in Virgo: Let’s Time Some Stuff, ‘Kay? (Plus Boundaries and Defintion)

Astrology in real life

capricornLast week I wrote about my sister’s idea it took about 3 years for a person to understand who they were dealing with, if they were ever going to be able to understand. She was concerned about my heart.

Meanwhile the soldier got in touch with of his friends from SF who I of course contacted, with pictures and a chatty mail. ::rolls eyes::

Saturn in Virgo Small Animal Report: Snob

Astrology in real life

“Cluck is over there talking to the neighbor dog,’ I told the soldier. I was standing in the backyard talking on the phone watching Lucky commune with the dog next door through the fence.

“Dora ignores that dog.”

“Yeah, she does. She wants nothing to do with it.”

“Yeah, Dora is a snob. A snob! She must have come to Puerto Rico from France,” he said.

Saturn In Virgo: Guard The Mind, But How? And Outline By Elsa P

Outtakes and various other sundries

virgoFrom the boards, Crackers writes:

And this is what I was musing on in my response to your “wrap up” post today, where you advise guarding your mind. Just that in addition to healthy skepticism about things, there needs to be ways of testing the alleged facts. And without first person knowledge, what are the tests?

I’m very interested in devising some tests, so I can have actual opinions about things. But I’m not willing to form opinions without that, and I’m not yet seeing good ways of so doing. If I’m going to have to test everything first hand, I’m certainly going to have to pick and choose what to formulate opinions about. I need a staff!

Saturn in Virgo Mind Appreciation Day Plus Interviewing Psychopaths By Elsa P

Astrology in real life

Crackers said she may not have been able to tell if the sociopath was lying in the film and wondered if you could teach that kind of skill.  I think you can (readily) teach people to think critically but I had another angle on this she might have been touching on

After watching that movie, or part of it, I asked the soldier if he thought the psychologist knew he was being bullshitted.  He said  he didn’t know and neither of us were interested enough to watch and try to find out because the lying killer was so nauseating.

Autistic Child? Blame Mom! Schizophrenia? The Family Did It!

Astrology in real life

“In the 60’s they thought schizophrenia was caused by by parents, the mother, the family. Autism, too. If someone had an autistic kid if was because they were a lousy mother.”

The soldier laughed.

“Well they did think this. If was the brainy idea of the times and these poor parents.  The mothers, I mean.  They were told their kid was fine until they got hold of them.   If you’d have hugged your kid…  if you did not subconsciously hate your child, none of this would be happening.  The parents bought it for the most part for a myriad of reasons. This was accepted at the time, and there are people out there who still believe this. Yes. I know people who believe this right now, this year.  A person is schizophrenic because the family did it, they needed a scapegoat.”
