Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old - Family Patterns
Astrology in real life
The friend who betrayed my son earlier this week has apologized and restored the friendship. I am skeptical since this boy has a distinct pattern of becoming very close to my son and then dumping him coldly.
It has never made sense because they hang out together at one house or the other 7 days a week so I always wonder what this kid thinks he’s doing. He is entirely compatible with my son. I have never witnessed conflict of any kind so I have no idea what this kid is acting out but apparently it is something. And I think he is fortunate because my son can transcend but what a baffling situation.

Astrology, Neptune And Pluto: Acting On A Feeling vs A Primal Drive
Commenting on the comments
goddess write on How Much Of What You Do Is Subconsciously Driven
“I get feelings, and try to act on them. I don’t usually know where they come from, and even when I try to figure it out, it takes SO much more energy to try and logically explain them-and even then, I’m not sure if I’m coming up with an explanation or rationalization-it’s much easier to just listen to them and go on. And they’re always right, so why fight it?”

Open Question: How Much Of What You Do Is Subconsciously Driven?
Ask the collective
It was at my Saturn return I really became aware of how unconscious I was of my own motivations. I have significant Capricorn so discovering this was harrowing. It was also horrifying because say what? What do you mean I’m not in control!? I better damned so be in control.
But I learned that not only was I partially being driven by my subconscious, I was primarily being driven by my subconscious and when I really came to know this as a fact, I made friends with the idea.
I realized I had navigated pretty damned well for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing which meant I did know what I was doing, it simply was not in my conscious mind. So now all these years later, if you know me you hear me say things like this:
“I don’t know what I am up to but I am obviously doing something…”
I also say this all the time:
“Let my subconscious take care of it, see what it wants to do. I am just not going to worry about that at all.”
I have learned to trust my subconscious implicitly because what else am I to do? I become conscious when and if and in my case if the when comes, it usually takes about 10 years for me to really understand what I have done and that is at best. 15 or 20 may be more realistic but anyway, here is my question:
See that graphic? I think that’s about right. I think 90% falls below the line in my case. But I want to know if others agree. Is it due a packed eighth house - so much depth it takes this long for things to surface or is the 90/10 thing universal?

Open Question For The Psychologically Sophisticated Nurses Out There AKA Virgo / Scorpio Mix Types Re: Peter Pan Syndrome
Ask the collective
I was talking to a pal last night…
“Here’s what I like to know. What happens to these Peter Pan Syndrome types when they get their cancer diagnosis. You know. Play your whole life and then they tell you that you’ve got cancer. How to they cope then? What do they do? I would like to know this. I would like to find some psychologically sophisticated nurses and ask them exactly this. What do these men do? The women too for that matter. The female version, whatever she is called because they exist as well because I really wonder this. You’ve run through 800 people who might have loved you and now you’re going to die. How do they cope do you think?”
“I don’t know but it would be a good question for your blog…”
I don’t know if any nurses read here but if you know someone who could answer this - get them over here, would ya? Thanks.

Astrology, Psychology And Attraction: Is Everyone We Attract A Reflection Of Ourselves?
Ask the collective
Alma writes on Is Dating The Same Sign Over and Over Healthy Or A Form Of Repetition Compulsion?
“Do you think that we draw people who have the same sort of energy or issues we have. For instance, I’m not completely fulfilled in my job, and I always date men who are still struggling to find themselves career-wise. Will I only attract someone with a particular trait until I possess that trait myself?”
Alma, you hear this all the time and but I am not convinced this is a hard and fast rule. I think it is far more complicated (and will come back with a video) but this whole idea of “attraction” is huge so I wonder what others think.
Can you tie the astrology in?

Open Question: Astrology, Dating, Psychology - Is Dating The Same Sign Over and Over Healthy Or A Form Of Repetition Compulsion?
Ask The Collective
Dear Elsa,
HELP! I am divorced from a Scorpio and now I’m in love with another Scorpio (Sun and Ascendant) who is getting ready to propose! What is wrong with me that I cannot get away from men of this sign?
Can a person have a successful relationship with someone in the same sign of a past failed relationship? Won’t I ALWAYS look for/see signs of my ex in my current love?

Fear And Family Patterns
Astrology in real life
I know people who have read me for awhile, 3 or 5 years or something, and they have a real feel for the pieces I throw up here which seem random at first eventually morph into belonging to the whole. In fact Avery seems to have caught on to this in 4 months judging from her response to my question, What Do You Like About This Blog?
“The humor, unpretentiousness, richness and depth of applied astrology, the community of personalities who gravitate here, the continuity and cohesiveness. I’ve only been reading your blog for about four months…”
But sometimes I like to lay it out.
