When I was actively studying astrology, I would get everyone’s data I could. Matter of fact I would go out to bars (my laboratory) and sit with my ephemeris in hand, talking shit, reading chart, telling jokes and just in general doing what I do.  But as years passed I quit doing this completely. These days I almost never ask someone for their birth data because I do feel it is an invasion of their privacy.

That is not meant to judge another person, this is just my own feeling which is personal and I’ll explain it.

Mercury is in Scorpio and let’s see. First we have someone tracking a reader via RemoteSpy.com and then another reader writes in to cop to the fact she accesses a co-workers email to monitor her workplace affairs.

Personally, I don’t snoop. I am so hard core with this, you’d think I’d have burned doing it or something but that never happened. Witness this:

The AMF and I used to separate for short periods from time to time. He would draft letters to me which he would never send. And we’d get back together and there they’d be.

I used his computer all the time. I used it more than he did and there would be some new document on his desktop named, ‘Elsa”. Did I open it? Of course not.

“He probably wanted you to read whatever was in there,” a friend remarked.

“No he didn’t. He knows me. He knows me well enough to know I’m not going to click that thing. If he wants me to read it, he can open it himself and send it to me. Or he can tell me there is something on my desktop I want you to read. Otherwise, forget about it…”

I realize this is extreme restraint but fact is it takes (or took) no restraint at all. I respect a person’s privacy but way more than that, I respect myself. I like being trusted and I like be able to know that even if I’m not trusted, I can be.

I also cop to having some fear what I might find if I go poking around and last I trust the universe will let me know what I need to know… at the time I need to know it.

Dear Elsa,

What happens to people, karmically, if they cheat on their husbands or wives? I know a woman with whom I work with, and she has 2 kids and she cheats on her husband with multiple men and he has no idea. Like, is there anything karmically that comes around to people?

She justifies this because she feels her husband is apathetic towards her. She does it, I think, like a drug addict. She likes the chase, the catch and then the conquer. Okay so I have a confession. I know all her secrets because I was checking her email and I can see the men she emails. She plays the victim, like “oh poor me I work so hard, my husband doesn’t think I’m sexy.” But, I can see emails from him to her saying hello beautiful, gorgeous, blah blah blah. Anyways, whatever. But it pisses me off.

She is sleeping with the president of my company, and she has also slept with other men who work in it, too. It’s just SO slimy! And she won’t leave her husband. She was also sleeping with another man in the company, but then when the President hit on her, she dumped the sales guy & went for him.

She has her same story that she tells these men. She tells them she is married and her husband doesn’t pay attention to her. Two of these men, the sales guy & the president LEFT THEIR WIVES FOR HER, and then she goes, no, I’m going to give it one more shot with my husband. She blames it on her strict religion (she is from Iran) and says she doesn’t want to break up her family. So she just goes around playing these men & they fall for it.

Anyway, I guess I just needed to vent. This woman is 36 and she is acting like this. I guess she is unhappy inside & sleeps with these men for a feeling of power, or I don’t know. It just bugs me, it’s slimy.

Are there repercussions karmically for stuff like that? Or it is just her own battle, we all have our inner battles, and this isn’t any worse than being an alcoholic or cheating on your taxes?

Talk about Mercury in Scorpio, yesterday while scanning the referrals for my blog yesterday I came across a link from this site: RemoteSpy.com. It’s clear someone is using a keylogger / spy software to monitor someone who reads my blog. But here’s the thing:

The link contains what appears to be a first and last name. Like this:

“…members/users/ELAINE $$$$ PC log/index/websites”

Now it seems to me this is Elaine’s account and she is the one doing the spying but it could be Elaine being spied on so I edited out the last name.

If you think this is you, please email the last name and I will confirm. I also have city where the person is logging on and I just want to point out, Remote Spy is selling this supposedly sly software, yet reveals your user name in the url. ::shakes head::

Talk about hiding in plain sight.

What would you do if you found out someone was monitoring you via software they had installed on your computer?

My daughter and I will meet with producer of this show (Frontline) today and I feel very sorry for her because I can see she is deeply ambivalent around what to do.

We both sense we can get on this show if we want. It is a matter of sussing out what they want and whatever it is we can deliver it because we are freakishly sophisticated on the subject. Consequently we can hit any angle they’re after but even more importantly we can both turn out a sound bite as easy as we can breathe. So we can do this if we want but unfortunately my daughter has a conflict and I am pretty sure whatever she chooses she will be left with some level of regret and un-comfort.

See, she has a 9th house Leo Moon and she would like to be seen, big time. If anyone is mixed up about that, her Moon is also trine Jupiter in Sagittarius so even more inflation. It’s as if she is a natural for this kind of this… broadcast. She also has a 10th house Virgo Mars so a drive to be prominent and communicate and provide a service to the public however…

However she’s a Scorpio rising with Pluto conjunct and this is her personal business! Does she want to broadcast her personal business? Not so much. And if she does, will she recoil? I would say this is a given. How could she not recoil? I mean come on. Would you like to discuss your vomit on TV? Why can’t is be her shiny hair, see? Why can’t we just stick to that?

So anyway, off we go. I spoke with this guy on the phone yesterday and had an entirely favorable impression. At this point I am looking forward to meeting him as is my daughter and the soldier?
