We’ve got roughly a week before Pluto turns direct. If you are tracking this blog you can see people are falling off it like flies for reasons I don’t even remotely understand.  There have been three this week and from my perspective it’s ghastly.  I watch all these war movies with the soldier… I have seen almost nothing but war movies for a year and a half and what you see in these movies over and over and over, is people being shot or blown up.

D. I am sorry, I don’t mean to scare. If you read the original blog on this (or search Pluto transit 11th)you will see the explanation for all this and it’s all just life. Stuff like you have a baby and lose your friend who do not have kids.

Things like the situation with my daughter which became so dire no one could cope and I became isolated. This was a function of Pluto’s transit to my Moon!

My experience is not liable to be yours although I did lose my hopes and wishes and dreams too. The kids in the picture there embodied them and that family no longer is. Again, a function of Pluto MOON.

I also have a pretty serious Pluto placement natally, activated by the transit which should also be considered. Let’s face it: I am prone to wipe out.

As I mentioned, Pluto turns direct on September 8th, 2008 and leave Sagittarius the first week of November, not to return for approximately 240 years. This means this is the last gasp (here on the galactic center) so what’s happening?  What’s happening in your life and what have you learned from this transit?

Pluto has spent it’s time in Sagittarius transiting my 11th house and I am telling you I am down to hardly any friends at all. It has been almost a total rout as I have mentioned before and I am hoping like hell no one else drops between now and November… however, I would not bet!

Personally,  I have learned all about the power of publishing, in particular the power the press has to manipulate. I really don’t believe a word I read anywhere any more and I mean a word.

I am also aware of the shadow side (Pluto) of optimism(Sagittarius) and if you’re not, I imagine you’ll soon find out when Pluto moves into Capricorn and delivers a reality check of what promises to be epic proportion.

SaDiablo, I am dumping them as much as they are dumping me. I’ve learned via this transit there are some things that really are deal-breakers when it comes to friendships and it simply becomes, “you go your way and I’ll go mine”.

It’s death or amputation (Pluto) due your belief (Sadge). There are some things that people are just plain vested in and if you don’t believe or agree with their side, you’re out and I’ll give you an example.

If one person has an abortion and the other says that they think abortion is killing a child, those two people are probably not going want to hang out anymore.

Yeah, well I think I am going to lose some friends over this so not too cool. I have already lost a lot of friends during Pluto’s transit of my 11th house. I have lost a slew of them and with Pluto’s retrograde transit back into Sagittarius, I am hoping to survive with at least a few pals standing.

This is a dilemma for me because I don’t think it is possible for me to compromise my integrity and I may or may not be able to keep my mouth shut. One thing for sure, people get heated over these things and the last friend I lost during this transit, well it was over something just like this.

I lost a 9 year friendship I valued very much because we just did not agree on something we both felt very passionately about. It may sound stupid. You don’t dump your friends over a disagreement but when someone takes a contrary stand against something very near to your heart there really is no choice. It is sort of like not liking my kid. If you don’t like my kid or if you don’t like my husband I am going to have a very hard time having you in my life.

So anyway, I will take the contrary position if I must but I want to be damned sure what is driving me because it is damned sure going to cost me.

Awhile back I wrote about losing friends during Pluto’s transit to my 11th house. Over the weekend the soldier was going through his stuff and he came across and old address book. He cracked it open and turned it towards me. Every name and address on the page had this written across it in capital letters that had been gone over several times:

Can you imagine?

A long time ago an old man told me they did not aspire to live to old age because anyone who does winds up burying all their friends. I was chilled by this concept even though I was about 20 at the time so pretty safely removed from the prospect of this happening to me or so I thought at the time. I have learned otherwise.

You can lose all your friends via war or you can lose your friend via pregnancy as I outlined in the other blog. My kids lost their friends when the next door neighbors moved and there have not been kids on the block their age since. Gay men lost their friends in droves when AIDS sprung up and I could go on and on.

Have you ever suffered the loss of friends like this? How did it affect you?

Transiting Pluto is now firmly in my twelfth house and it occurred to me a couple days ago I have hardly any friends left post it’s transit of my eleventh. Pluto is such a slow moving planet it is hard to assimilate or track its effects as it moves through a house in your chart. This is a 10 year transit, give or take but for a moment there I had a glimpse or some awareness of what had gone on so I thought I’m mark it for Google purposes. If someone plugs in “Pluto transit the eleventh”, this will come up.

I mentioned in the comments of the Saturn/Pluto blog I had a date rape situation come up with a man I thought was a “friend”, except it was no date. We were on purely friendly and had been for years. He was well aware of my budding involvement with another man (the soldier) but he apparently thought if I was coming to his house, I must be interested in him or more likely he figured, “I’ll try this and see what happens”.

Had something occurred it would have been a so-called “gray rape”, I suppose. What am I doing at his house if I’m not interested?

Well fact is he was very social and I am somewhat social. I felt comfortable because I’d known him for years, and entertained people at his house all the time. Plus we’re old! He was 50 and a doctor no less so it’s not like he was stupid. He made a calculated decision to sell me out, cheap.

That’s what I call it when a friend or someone you think is a friend sacrifices their friendship with you for little or no gain. But anyway, here’s the question and it’s age old but still:

I was thinking about the How To Prosper In 2008 where I tried to tie the Pluto and Saturn transits together. They go together in my mind because both planets are dropping into earth signs and also because in my personal chart, these planets are changing houses at roughly the same time as well. This makes it easy for me to link them and I thought if I could explain this it might give others a new angle.

Now in my case, Saturn just finished transiting my 7th house (relationships) and Pluto, my 11th (friends). Needless to say I hardly know anyone anymore. ::smiles:: People have been flushed, fired, they’ve quit, and they’ve gone missing. I have been betrayed, rejected, forced to let go of people or seen them forced to let go of me.

Consequently I have just a few contacts now but I can’t say that I mind. For all the trauma the people who are still on deck are real and they committed (Saturn). They are loyal (Pluto), empowered people who share energy (Pluto) but you get the idea.

There has been a total routing out. It has been merciless really, the process that led to this consolidation, nothing less. But it’s been necessary. Because if you ask me if I would like to put it back the way it was, I would not. I will take my new deal, so here’s my point:

These two planets are shifting now and they are going to establish themselves somewhere in your chart. Where? Where can you expect the leveling and the boiling down to occur and more importantly, is it welcome?
