Pluto Direct In Sagittarius - Speaking Of Obsessive Beliefs, The Violent Polarization Over The US Election And The Horrible Effect On Libra
Astrology in real life
It’s killer out there for someone like me. For one thing I have gifted / cursed with Libra and I have no choice at all but to see both sides of any issue. If you have Libra yourself, I expect you understand but if not try to understand there are people out there who find it almost impossible to pick a side. Family feud? Libra see that both Mom and Sis have a point. Further when people like me encounter your extreme position we feel pretty near compelled to counter it. To move you toward the opposite pole in order to balance things.
Well let me tell you something. Pull a Libra move today and you’re liable to get nuked. People think what they think and if you say anything even remotely counter it, they immediately grab a hammer and begin beating you with it.

Steve Jobs obituary published by Bloomberg (accidentally)
Outtakes and various other sundries

How is this for Pluto In Sagittarius?
“An obituary of very-much-alive Apple founder Steve Jobs has been accidentally published by the respected Bloomberg business news wire”
“The story, marked “Hold for release – Do not use”, was sent in error to the news service’s thousands of corporate clients.
The stock obituary was published “momentarily” after a routine update by a reporter, and was “immediately deleted”, Bloomberg said.
Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003, but there is no suggestion that the news wire has recent news on his health. Most media organisations regularly update their pre-prepared obituaries of newsworthy figures..”

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: Through The 11th House - Kiss Your Friends Goodbye
Astrology in real life
This won’t mean much if you’re new around here but I got into a dialogue with SaDiablo about Scott and more specifically the demise of our friendship. He’s the pianist.
Now I met Scott when I was 15 years old and working in his mother’s bar. (I met the soldier when I was 17). Scott was a boy genius… a prodigy on the piano and we started dating.
Now we got along fabulously but never for long. In fact we could not function in a relationship for more than a couple weeks but this did not stop us from getting into one again and again and again over the course of 17 years! And even if we were not dating we were generally friendly during that time, for example he helped me with that sexual harassment lawsuit I filed that I never mentioned to the soldier. You know. He is off rescuing the hostages in Iran. I am filing a lawsuit that will help set precedent for Anita Hill and the like and no one has a clue.

Astrology, News And Publishing Post Pluto’s Transit Of Sagittarius
Astrology in real life
This morning I updated the soldier on the news around Obama’s choice for Vice President. As I mentioned, we both think the choice of VP is going to be critical in the election.
“Hilary does not seem to be on the screen at all,” I said. “As to what is being reported.”
“Hmm.”
“Thing is, we really have no idea what is going on. They do not report in actual news. The job is to put something up there that provokes people, and whether or not it’s based in reality is irrelevant. Just churn something out and next day, do it again. It’s come to a point where it’s pointless to read the news, it’s pretty much meaningless.”
“It’s as bad here as it has been in the UK and their press is notorious…”
This is where I think we are post Pluto’s rout through journalism (Sagittarius). There is no way to get real news at the moment. There is no standard, ethics or any other damned thing.
Do you agree or no? Is there a news source you trust? (And by the way, who is your pick for VP to Obama?)

Eeyore And The Dirty Nasty Job - Clean Up After Mass Suicide At Jamestown
Astrology in real life
Regarding the soldier being sent to clean up the 913 dead bodies at Jamestown, Jilly wrote:
”Gawd, what a job.”
Deirdre added:
“I mean really”
We were eating lunch on a bike ride yesterday, I was quizzing the soldier about his experience at Jonestown. Specifically interested in his impression given his beliefs (Catholic… against suicide). Pluto in Sagittarius - death by belief again, this time for real.

Do You Believe In Astrology? If So Beware The Undertow
Ask the collective
I would say that Pluto’s retrograde transit back into Sagittarius has got me by the balls if I had a pair. Since I don’t, let’s just say I am being held close in, next the fire. At the moment I am both treated and tortured with a myopic view of the power (for good or ill) of Sagittarius things like storytelling and you beliefs. For example, astrology.
What if I “believe” in astrology and this causes me to look at a person’s chart (in this case, the chart of the soldier’s son), draw conclusions and then act on them? What if I see our Moons are conjunct, our ascendants are conjunct, my Mars and Mercury are conjunct his Venus and so on and on and based on my ability to discern what that means I act in a specific way?
How does that compare to how I would act if I did not have this ability?
Are you unnerved yet?

Pluto In Sagittarius: Shadow Side Of Publishing A Blog Or Broadcasting Anything In General
Astrology in real life
That full moon was hellacious for many. Speaking of communicating the metaphysical, I was talking to the soldier last night while experiencing the recoil I experience after intense communication with his son which has become routine.
“It would be much easier to just shut the hell up. My whole blog is like this as well. I say all this stuff and people react to it. Sometimes it gets in their craw, something I did not intend and I have to deal with it. You were in the same position when you were in Special Forces. It’s so easy for people to mistake what you are doing for. Oh, you like to kill people. They just assign this to you as your motivation that has nothing to do with reality. Oh, he’s up to this and this and this when in reality - Well it’s delusional. Soldier comes home from war and they say, oh he was killing babies. I mean what the hell? What’s that got to do with what the person was actually doing?”

Craig Ferguson On Alcoholism, Gossip And Kicking People While They Are Down
Outtakes and various other sundries
Everybody knows how I feel about gossip and in particular, kicking people when they are down:
The Way Of The Culture - You’re Down? Great, Let’s Kick You!
Britney Spears: Pluto In Sagittarius and the Shadow Side Of Publishing
Mr. Blackwell’s 48th Annual Worst-Dressed List - Finally, Some Decorum
satori sent me clip. Craig Ferguson Speaks From The Heart about his alcoholism and his rethinking mocking and making jokes about people in crisis.
I think this trend was a result of Pluto (and Jupiter) in Sagittarius and I hope with all my heart it’s seen it’s heyday.

Astrology And Trends In Business: The Airline Industry Plus What Happens When You Lose Your Customer
Trends in the collective
“It’s going to go back to when only rich people can fly,” I told the soldier. “Remember when it was like that?” I had just read this article:
Continental becomes latest U.S. airline to cut service
Basically they are grounding planes, laying off employees and raising prices simultaneously.
“It will only stay that way so long,” he said. “And then it will go right back the way it was, just as soon as people quit flying and there are not enough rich people to sustain them.”
“I don’t know about that. Eventually yes but it may be a long time recovering. I don’t think it’s that easy to get your customer back once you lose them. People are funny with their habits. Once they change them, you’ve got a problem.”

Astrology And Social Trends: Pluto Conjunct Juno - Will Traditional Marriage Comes Back From The Dead?
Astrology in real life
satori writes on Pluto’s Last Gasp:
“It seems interesting to me that juno is traveling right alongside Pluto along the sagg/cap cusp. it’s even turned retro at the same time. might be the herald of what you’re talking about re traditional marriage. “
satori - Good catch. That is definitely possible but does not feel personal to me. Having a 7th house Uranus, I don’t think in “traditional marriage”.
I mentioned men, women and parenting in the blog and my comment in the comments was in regards to something else - namely the fact that everything old is new again… eventually.
