When Pluto transits a sign we see the shadow side of the things the sign rules. For example with Pluto in Sagittarius we saw the shadow side of religion (Suicide bombers and the sex scandal with the Catholic priests), the shadow side of sports (OJ Simpson, steroid use), the shadow side of courts (OJ Simpson again) the press (too many scandals to list).

I wrote this 18 months ago but it’s again relevant as Pluto is about to leave Sagittarius… won’t be back for 240 years. Can you add to this list?

Personally I am tired of everyone’s genitals (Pluto) being published (Sadge). I am tired of the contents of everyone’s trash (Pluto) being broadcast (Sadge). Spare me! Can we stop dissecting people (Pluto) in the press? Please, begs Libra.

This is like the color “mauve” in the early 90’s. It was a great color until we became saturated with it. Once it hit Walmart, it’s over for chrissakes. Is there anyone’s crotch we’ve not seen?

I am also sick of books and articles that are titled “Five Ways To Blah, Blah, Blah”. Or “Seven Secrets To A Satisfying Blah, Blah”.

Yes this was an effective way to manipulate people at one time but it’s over now, yes? God, I hope so.

As Pluto leaves Sagittarius what trends do you hope draw their last breath?

There have been a lot of interesting, thoughtful, passionate comments on the Robert Hanssen piece and I am glad of it. I feel very strongly about things like this and I feel so out of sync. I think what Pluto though Sagittarius has shown (among other things) is the press is crap.

“Truth” (Sagittarius) is manipulated (Pluto). People publish (Sagittarius) to gain power (Pluto). People’s beliefs (Sagittarius) are manipulated (Pluto) by what is published (Sagittarius) and if you don’t know this by now - Well you should. Oprah tricked by James Frey who wrote a book that would sell and who here is clean, hmm?

Today I re(read) the first chapter of my book as I contemplated sending it to the soldier’s son. I haven’t read it in a long time and it made me laugh out loud. That’s pretty good, huh?

Yeah, I was laughing at my own jokes as I am known to do and that was it. Really, that was all I could do because the scope of my writing (publishing) is so vast, it is more than I can comprehend.

When Pluto went into Sadge, like I said, I was pregnant. My daughter was born with Pluto in Scorpio (conjunct her ascendant) but when Pluto was in Sadge and I was all swelled up, my first (ex) husband stopped by and gave me a computer. “I thought you might like to write,” he said.

It’s killer out there for someone like me. For one thing I have gifted / cursed with Libra and I have no choice at all but to see both sides of any issue. If you have Libra yourself, I expect you understand but if not try to understand there are people out there who find it almost impossible to pick a side. Family feud? Libra see that both Mom and Sis have a point. Further when people like me encounter your extreme position we feel pretty near compelled to counter it. To move you toward the opposite pole in order to balance things.

Well let me tell you something. Pull a Libra move today and you’re liable to get nuked. People think what they think and if you say anything even remotely counter it, they immediately grab a hammer and begin beating you with it.

The stock obituary was published “momentarily” after a routine update by a reporter, and was “immediately deleted”, Bloomberg said.

Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003, but there is no suggestion that the news wire has recent news on his health. Most media organisations regularly update their pre-prepared obituaries of newsworthy figures..”

This won’t mean much if you’re new around here but I got into a dialogue with SaDiablo about Scott and more specifically the demise of our friendship. He’s the pianist.

Now I met Scott when I was 15 years old and working in his mother’s bar. (I met the soldier when I was 17). Scott was a boy genius… a prodigy on the piano and we started dating.

Now we got along fabulously but never for long. In fact we could not function in a relationship for more than a couple weeks but this did not stop us from getting into one again and again and again over the course of 17 years! And even if we were not dating we were generally friendly during that time, for example he helped me with that sexual harassment lawsuit I filed that I never mentioned to the soldier. You know. He is off rescuing the hostages in Iran. I am filing a lawsuit that will help set precedent for Anita Hill and the like and no one has a clue.

This morning I updated the soldier on the news around Obama’s choice for Vice President. As I mentioned, we both think the choice of VP is going to be critical in the election.

“Hilary does not seem to be on the screen at all,” I said. “As to what is being reported.”

“Hmm.”

“Thing is, we really have no idea what is going on. They do not report in actual news. The job is to put something up there that provokes people, and whether or not it’s based in reality is irrelevant. Just churn something out and next day, do it again. It’s come to a point where it’s pointless to read the news, it’s pretty much meaningless.”

“It’s as bad here as it has been in the UK and their press is notorious…”

This is where I think we are post Pluto’s rout through journalism (Sagittarius). There is no way to get real news at the moment. There is no standard, ethics or any other damned thing.
