3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Scott vs Arie: Can People Change Their Nature? My Opinion
Astrology in real life
Leopards can change their spots…
Yes - Scott (52%)
No - Arie (48%)
If I were on the jury I would vote with Arie. A reprobate is a reprobate is a reprobate! And Arie knows about reprobates because he is one.

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Scott vs Arie Redux - Can People Change Their Nature? Elsa P’s Mercury In Libra Argues Boths Sides…
Astrology in real life
That was a great poll. 60% of you sided with Scott. 18% with Arie. 22% on the fence.
These are my thoughts on this matter:
I agree with Arie. I’m an astrologer and I believe you are born with your nature and your nature is your nature. Evidence of this abounds and Arie could tell you all about it. About reprobates that is.
Arie has been shot in the chest at close range. He was shot in a gas station toilet by a whore no less. How Scorpio is that?

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Scott vs Arie On People and Their Natures, Redux: What’s a Libra To Do?
Astrology in Real Life…
Thanks for the comments and answer to the question, “Can people be redeemed?” Having Libra I can see both sides of this debate on human nature and further, I could argue either side.
This is why Libras make such good attorneys by the way. If you walk into court fully understanding your opponent’s position you’re at a terrific advantage.
And do you have any planets in Libra in your chart? What about the opposite sign, Aries?

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Scott vs Arie On People Changing Their Natures
Astrology in real life
Running with a divergent crowd the way I do, there are times you find you have friends you respect with opinions at opposite ends of the spectrum. For example, take Scott and genius, Arie (a pseudonym). They are both derangedly intelligent men, who are fully actualized. By that, I mean they,ve both developed into distinct people. Neither of them is going to get blown around all that much.
Scott believes that redemption is possible for all human beings. He believes in miracles, he has seen them occur. He has seen people come from the depths and turn their lives around.

Clearcut Astrology: The Aries Mother And The Boyfriend
Don’t know The Aries Mother? Catch up here: The Aries Mother And Her Son
Second question… Catch up here: The Aries Mother And Her Son
“With my boyfriend. Well. Our synastry and our composite are both kind of messes. I think most typical astrologers would look at them and tell me we’re doomed. Yet this relationship has lasted five times as long as any other one in my life. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, feel more supported than anyone (even my family) has made me feel, and just plain think he’s a good, admirable man (which aren’t so easy to find.)”
(swearing below the break)

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: What Function Do You Play In Other People’s Lives?
Astrology In Real Life…
After thinking about the people I know and how I tap them for opinions I started to wonder what roll(s) I might play for others. I have a feeling if I asked I would be surprised. Because when I told my inner circle, “I call you for blah blah blah”, they were completely surprised at how I see them.
Scott had no idea I see him as the ultimate compassionate person. He’s not going to write anyone off, ever! “There’s always hope, Elsie.” This is what he says all the time about everyone, every time so when I get in a situation where something falls off the page of everyone I know, I can call Scott and voila! There is still hope!

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Who Are Your Friends? Are You Interested Other People’s Perspectives?
Astrology in Real Life…
I have a stable of friends. An array, you could say and every friend I have is very good at being who they are. They are each very fine specimens of whatever it is they happen to be and I realized the other day that I milk this to no end.
When something happens in my life, I generally make the rounds. I call everyone who is currently tracking with whatever news I have and ask them what they think. What does a Scorpio think? What does an Asian think? What does the most emotionally sensitive person I have ever met think about this?

Different Perspectives And Depths Of Meaning: Love and Pain and Poorness
Commenting on the comments
A conversation emerged on the Dora pain blog. After reading some of the comments I stated that what the soldier said that day had been interpreted differently by the reader than I had understood it in the moment. This happens sometimes, HQ told me long ago I often talked in code, mistakenly believing people understood things the way I do.
May, who provoked my comment came back this morning with this:
“Oh, I see. Sorry for the misinterpretation. I agree it might’ve been misinterpreted. I see it is admitting vulnerabilities for everyone.”

Astrology And Philosophy: Rotten Things Happen - Is Your Past Life / Bad Karma To Blame?
Commenting on the comments
Snapdragon asks on The Day The Police Came To Get Me also around the bad things that tend to happen to me.
“Elsa, do you believe in past lives? (not sure that I do) I’m just wondering if you chalk it up to your chart, or to karma, or what?”

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: A Breakthrough
Astrology in real life
Last night at dinner I was talking to the soldier…
“Today I had a moment of total peace about Mosta (my daughter),” I said. “I just felt completely okay about everything, every shred of it. I don’t know how I got there but I did and I could barely believe it. I realize it probably won’t last.”
“Yeah, P?”
“Yeah but the place exists. There is a way of seeing this and feeling about it that allows me to feel okay and live comfortably regardless… regardless of whatever. I am talking complete acceptance and comfort with the situation.”
He didn’t say anything so I reached across the table and tapped his forearm. “I touched it just like that,” I said. “And I figure if I could touch it and be there today… I felt good all day long, then it means this place exists. And if I get thrown off, I should be able to find my way back eventually and maybe live there full time? Most of the time? In whatever case, before today I did not know such a place existed so this was a really important day.”
“That’s good.”
“Yeah, what you said and what some people say about the reasons things like this happen to some people and not others is very true. You have to have some capacity and I do have it because I found this out today. I figured it and most strangely I could even see a benefit to everyone involved. Everyone. Me, you, her… the people who read my blog… everyone. So that’s my report. Port. I have found a port. It’s a place I can stand and have no problems even in this situation and I think it’s pretty much a miracle don’t you?”
Do you have a port in the storm?
