Anyone else willing to cop to struggling with this?

Saturn, Capricorn And Long Term Consequences

November 2nd, 2009 @ 8:54 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

The opposition in astrology is the one most intriguing to me. A year ago I was reading about how Uranus was going to trounce all over Saturn and rolling my eyes.  The planets were in opposition and the old man was supposed to get his ass kicked I guess. It made no sense to me outside of the fact people have their bias and their blind spots.

Pluto In Capricorn: Cracks In The Foundation - Parenting

November 1st, 2009 @ 7:27 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I’m already on the record to say that I think parenting is broken and the problems are not superficial.

This is a broad topic and we have 10 years to talk about as we see the horror unfold which it will.  The last thing I want to do is bite off more than I can chew right now but I do want to broach this and at least start talking about it.

The Aries Moon Mother

April 26th, 2009 @ 2:02 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

ariesI just wrote to a gal on an email consultation, her need for independence (Moon in Aries) was as valid as another person’s need to partner. This is somewhat tricky because she is a mother.

Aries is self-centered which does not describe the quintessential Mom, however Aries Moon have much to offer their children.

Pluto In Capricorn: The Shadow Side / Psychology Of Parenting

April 19th, 2009 @ 7:39 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I’ve stated my position on parenting a few times, I think it’s broken. Most kids grow up in single parent homes and even if both parents are involved there are some nasty dynamics that set up.

Both parents tend to try make the other parent the bad guy in one form or the other and even in it’s mildest form this is incredibly destructive.

Stellium In Libra… Teaching Boys About Love

September 3rd, 2008 @ 6:12 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

libra-wysock.JPGSpeaking of coming home in the evening and having something to say, last night the soldier and Vid and I sat down to dinner. It wasn’t actually dinner because the soldier went to the gym after work so got home late. But I feed him when he gets home and usually eat with him unless I get myself starving earlier.

I also feed Vidroid earlier, a normal dinner tome but with his Sun, Moon and rising in Venus signs, Vid loves love and he loves the soldier. He wants to be the soldier in at least this capacity: He wants to be able to get a woman to love him.

Knowing his mother loves the soldier (and probably feeling at this age that she is the ultimate woman) he is keen to learn the soldier’s love tricks and he studies him closely.

Astrology And Deprivation - It Has It’s Upside: Making a Case For Saturn / Capricorn

September 3rd, 2008 @ 9:17 am by Elsa

Astrology In Real Life…

mechanical ponyI have a friend who is involved or rather she is associated with a man who finds women everywhere he goes. He finds mother substitutes, specifically and it’s just uncanny. He finds these women (or they find him) and they pretty much form a line waiting to meet this man’s needs.

There is nothing you can do about something like this outside of observe it and people do. The women don’t compete. Instead they remark to each other… “Look at how many mothers he has…” This man is in his 40’s and in whatever case I told her this story… Continue reading Astrology And Deprivation - It Has It’s Upside: Making a Case For Saturn / Capricorn

Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner: The Quintessential Soldier Meets The Anti-War Crowd

July 18th, 2008 @ 7:21 am by Elsa

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra (with Mars involved)

u-s-army-rangers-posters.jpgRegarding the soldier and his opportunity to speak freely, I’m here with the back story.  Some months ago a friend of the soldier’s called him. A couple he was close to had a son who had decided he wanted to be a ranger and the request was that the soldier talk him out of it.

Now this put the soldier in a quandary.  Turns out this young man’s parents were precisely, exactly the type that would not want their son anywhere near the military. He was a kid with options… education and so forth.  He definitely need not choose to join the armed services and the parents knowing little about the military and being anti-war in general were flipped out to put it mildly.

Estrogen vs Testosterone And Pluto’s Transit Through Capricorn

June 2nd, 2008 @ 1:39 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

marsLast night, Vid, the soldier and I were messing around. I took a stand against the soldier and Vid took his side. I looked at him mockingly. “Siding against your old mom now, are you? You’re on his side?”

“Yeah I’m with him,” he said.

“Great! My own son sides against me…”

He stared and held firm.

“Nah… it’s okay, Vid. I am glad you are on his side.”

“Well, Mom, we’re boys. We are both boys so I am on his side. I was the only boy around here for a long time but now it’s your turn to be the only girl. Your turn to suffer and feel the pain.”

I stared at him completely flabbergasted. “Suffer and feel the pain? Suffer? Did you say, suffer and feel pain?”

“Yep. Yep, that’s right.”

I walked off muttering and shaking my head. There has apparently been a revolution and P is just finding out about it. Boys rule, did ya hear?

But the main thing I am getting loud and clear is there are things boys want and needs the moms just can’t deliver and I am pretty sure Pluto’s transit through Capricorn is going to make this painfully apparent.
