Also… Pissed Off And Pent Up: This Creates A Danger (Or An Opportunity)

Astrology in Real Life

There  is another phenomena out there in that Mars in hard aspect to Venus (and previously the Sun and Mercury) in Scorpio. A lot of people quite profoundly pissed off.  The thing is, with Saturn squaring Pluto, most know instinctively that they should hold back and they are doing exactly this which makes for an interesting situation.

It is possible the anger will dissipate by the time action might be taken but it is just as possible (if not probable) that the pissed off person is lying in wait and when they do strike it will be to kill.

Pluto In Capricorn: The Stimulus Package And The Shadow Side Of Business

Astrology in real life

By now you know I’ve got my eye on the growing black market. This news came to me, it’s separate but related I guess you could say.

Included in the stimulus package is incentive for a specific industry to hire new workers. To be eligible for the government money the business has to hire someone new and employ them for 90 days.

The stimulus will also pay to train the person so they are gearing up for this as well and while it appears this is an on ramp to employment it is anything but.

One Year Ago On The Elsa Blog: 1 Minute Astrology - Pluto, Scorpio, Elizabeth Smart And Suffering In The Collective

1 minute astrology

When one person suffers is another one spared?

From Wikipedia:

“Elizabeth Ann Smart (born 1987) was abducted from her Salt Lake City, Utah bedroom on June 5, 2002 at the age of 14. She was found alive nine months later on March 12, 2003 in Sandy, Utah, about 18 miles from her home, in the company of Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Ileen Barzee, who were indicted for her kidnapping but ruled unfit to stand trial. Her abduction and recovery were widely reported in North American media and internationally and were the subject of a made-for-TV movie and a published book.”

The Bernard Madoff Story…. Who Believes This It, Hmm? I Think It’s A Crock

Astrology in real life

madoff_web.jpgThat Elsa P. She’s so paranoid… But lookee here. I don’t believe the Bernard Madoff story as told. Are you kidding me?

Bernard Madoff is 70 years old which means his sons are probably near 50. They’ve been in business with him for 20 years, livin’ high but they don’t know anything? ::rolls eyes::

The Menendez brothers come to mind. “Let’s take out daddy.” But I’ll tell you what is just as likely if not more likely.

Pluto In Capricorn And Patricide: Madoff Turned in by Sons After Confessing $50 Billion Fraud

Ask the collective

bernard1.jpgMadoff Turned in by Sons After Confessing $50 Billion Fraud

David Voreacos and David Glovin write:

“Bernard Madoff’s sons turned him in to U.S. authorities after he confessed to them that his investment advisory business was “a giant Ponzi scheme” that cost clients $50 billion, a lawyer for the brothers said.

Mark and Andrew Madoff contacted authorities on the evening of Dec. 10 after their father admitted a fraud that led to his arrest yesterday by the FBI in Manhattan, according to a statement today by attorney Martin Flumenbaum, their lawyer. The brothers, who worked for their father, had no prior knowledge of the fraud, Flumenbaum said….”

This is another Pluto in Capricorn story as it shows the shadow side of big business but there is another wrinkle. The fact the sons turned him in boiled down to patricide. Kill (Pluto) the father (Capricorn).

Saturn In Virgo - UPS Will Not Forecast Peak Shipping Day

Outtakes and various other sundries

ups.jpgUPS Will Not Forecast Peak Shipping Day - Move Is Due to Economic Uncertainty

In a switch from previous years, UPS Inc. will not forecast a peak day for holiday shipping this year because the slowing U.S. economy is making such a prediction too difficult, Bloomberg reported Monday.

Company spokesman Norman Black said the company was “not comfortable making public projections this year,” due to the uncertain U.S. economy, Bloomberg reported.

UPS’ peak volume had been scheduled for release Tuesday.

The company began giving holiday volume projections in the 1980s, and after its 1999 initial public offering scaled back to project just a peak shipping day near Christmas, Bloomberg reported….

Calling All Astrology Bloggers: Introducing Astro Dispatch

Outtakes and various other sundries

Okay we’re up and running! Meet my new baby, Astro Dispatch!

Now I think it’s glorious but I am going to tell you everything I know (or think I know) about this: It will not replace the Top 10 Astrology News or the recent Astro News unless other people pitch in and here is why (especially for you newer astrology bloggers).

I set up the Top 10 Astrology News almost 2 years ago. Seeing astrology going more and more mainstream, I thought we (astrology bloggers) could get more attention if we pulled together. As many of you know, it is very hard to build an audience but I’d done it. I had an audience because I have been writing online daily since 2001, so I set up the Astrology News with feeds from all the astrology blogs (there were about 40 at the time) and it worked.

Saturn In Virgo: Amid Market Turmoil, Some Journalists Try to Tone Down Emotion

Outtakes and various other sundries…

With Saturn in Virgo, I am not the only one very careful what I say. From the New York Times:

Richard Perez-Pena writes:

For most of the country, the financial crises of the last few weeks have offered an education in economics. For journalists, they have been a lesson in semantics.

Some newspapers reported on the pitching markets using highly charged language. Other organizations feared such word choices could contribute to the financial system’s instability. Each day presents new evidence that finance companies are uniquely vulnerable to a loss of confidence among creditors, trading partners, investors or customers. As a result, rumor, speculation and fear can cripple a bank with shocking speed. That has reporters and editors, so often accused of hyperbole and sowing alarm, parsing their words with unusual care…”

Carl writes:

“If you are a McCain supporter, you might want to skip this post … completely.

In my opinion, John McCain’s electoral chart(s) are … well … pretty awful. The bad aspects are glaringly and unequivocally bad. It is hard to “go easy” on McCain. Even a restrained reading comes out sounding pretty bad…”
