I was surprised at the results of the Crimes Of Passion poll (repeated below). Only very few of you (7% at the time of this writing) believe there is no such thing as a crime of passion which has actually pretty much been proven. I lost my mind and killed her? Turns out this is something criminals tell juries and judges and lawyers but it is not what they tell Lonnie Athens.

Lonnie Athens is what you call a maverick in the criminology field and I was introduced to him by HQ some years ago just in case you think all HQ does is build websites. Actually he reads 3 books a week and knowing I am interested in violence, crime, sociopaths and so forth, he sent me Lonnie’s book(s).

A couple weeks ago I did a bunch of blog about projection and the 7th house. (tag - projection) A few people commented to say they were confused as to exactly what projection was so I’m back with a classic example.

Breakfast this morning. We were talking about I don’t know what. Death and murder, I guess. 8th house subjects.

“Well most people never go to that edge,” he said. “But I’ve been there and I am telling you when you get all the way out there, self preservation kicks in.”

“I don’t know if I agree. If that’s true, then what about these women who don’t fight a rapist? Why doesn’t their self preservation kick in? They just get raped.”

“It does kick in but it’s too late. It does kick in but they wait too long. They wait until the guy is on top them, he’s got her pinned and when he starts choking her… now he’s going to kill her, then it kicks in but by then it’s too late. She’s thinking I’ll just let him do this and it will be all right. But then he starts choking her and she starts fighting at that point. And he gets his jollies from that and then she gets killed. And this is what the military trains you for. To self-preserve in time. You have to have that instinct kick in while there is still something you can do.”

We discussed suicide in relation to this rule and later, this:

“What about a guy who remains defiant while he is tortured to death?” I asked. “I know for a fact this happens.”

“It does happen. Yeah, that can happen.”

“So how does he break the rule? Why doesn’t his self preservation kick in?” I asked.

“Because it’s different. That’s a guy who is going to fight. That’s a fight to the death.”

I could not argue with any of this. You?

Other Pluto (death) Moon (women/past) happenings….

My sister’s best friend in high school, mother with two children went missing some years ago. I knew her pretty well myself.

Her husband who she was in the process of divorcing was immediately suspect when it was discovered he was a fugitive living under an assumed name. He was extradited out of state to face other charges (aggravated assault, attempted murder, forgery) but her body never turned up.

I followed this case for some years before letting it slip away but I had cause to poke around last week and found that although her body has still not been located her husband pleaded “no contest” to her death and was sentenced to 20 years for the crime… this on top whatever else he was being sentenced for.

I also turned up the perp’s birth data, courtesy of astrologer, Bob Marks who has included his data as part of his study: Frequencies of Various Aspects and House and Sign Positions in the Horoscopes of Murderers, Serial Killers, and Mass Murderers as Compared to Control Groups

That’s his chart there … (see full size) can you just imagine the grin and smooth talking of Jupiter rising in Gemini in concert with the undertow of the 8th house. Gah.
