Mars Mercury in action. Ben and I are on the phone. I was single at the time. I wanted to go prowling, but…

“Yeah, well if I’m wondering - it’s pretty clear I’m not ready for prime time,” I said. I have fever blisters at the moment. So you know what that means. Metaphysically, I mean.”

“Well, those are from stress and tension,” he said.

“Yeah, right. But they are angry words not spoken. You know. So it breaks out on your lips. Anyway… just another sign I’m going nowhere quickly.”

“I can’t imagine it takes that much away. That you’d let that slow you down.”

“Well, hell no. I go out like this. I go do what I have to do. I just don’t think I’m going to get kissed at the moment,” I snickered.

“Well, I’m sure it doesn’t cramp your style that much. What do you care? You can’t see ‘em. Let the people who can see them, worry.”

“Right. That’s exactly right. I’m just telling you about my angry words. So do you want to hear something else?”
