A Great Day To Blurt, Try It!

Astrology in real life

stickers.jpgJupiter is squaring the Sun and Mercury in the aggressive sign of Aries and this is an excellent time to blurt your truth (Jupiter)! To assertively (Aries) tell people (Mercury) who you are (Sun). To define yourself (Jupiter in Capricorn)…

Now a long time ago (18 years?) I was contemplating getting a bumper sticker for my car and when I mentioned this to my sister she laughed her head off.

Do Loud, Aggressive People Vex The Spirit? I Asked Mercury In Aries

Ask the collective

ARIES MUGRandamandar writes:

“From Desiderata- ‘Avoid loud and aggressive people as they are a vexation to the spirit.’

I can hear the Soldier now, You don’t know the meaning of vexation, I’ll show you vexation.”

I called him.

“What do you think of this?” I asked, reading him the quote.

“Well I think that those who are weak, mindless, spineless and never question authority are a vexation to the spirit. What do you think, P? What do people like that do for the spirit? I think I have a lot of spirit and I am loud, aggressive and spirited.  Where is that quote from?”

“The Desiderata.”

“That poem they found in a church in the 1600’s?  Well that’s one of my favorite writings. I don’t recall that part.  But anyway, you have to take that in it’s entirety.  They are probably talking about boisterous bar types.  Blow hards. You know the type. So that’s my interpretaion of that. That’s a different kind of loud and aggressive, I’d say. What do you think happened with that?  The person wrote it and thought it was nothing?”

“Yep, probably wrote it and thought it was nothing…”

Do you think loud and aggressive people vex the spirit?

Astrology - Short And Sweet: The Soldier and 8-Year Old Vidroid

Astrology in real life

ariesMy son has the family Mars Mercury signature - Jupiter conjunct Mercury in Aries. We are all super confident boasters and he was hanging around the soldier for all of five minutes when he ripped off his shirt:

“I said I’d kick your butt, come on!” my son said.

The soldier and I stood there looking at his skinny chest as he climbed on top a chair and started throwing punches in the air. I was so proud. He did threaten the soldier on the phone some months ago and the boy follows through.

Astrology and Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old - 2000 Piece Puzzle

Astrology in real life

vidroid-puzzle.jpgI am doing a 2000 piece puzzle with my son. We’re both very keen on puzzles.

“Why couldn’t you have just gotten me a board game?” he asked.

“I already told you. I wanted something we could do together.”

“You could play a board game with me.”

“I already explained why we are doing this. What? Do you want a challenging life or an easy one?”

“Challenging, of course.”

I was surprised. “Really? Why do you want a challenging life?’

“Don’t go all fortune cookie on me, Mom,” he said.

My son is “eight slash nine” now. He is 8, but he is a year ahead in school. He’s decided the kids in his class do not need to know this (Mars in Scorpio) so he is 8/9. “I am 8 when I am home and 9 when I am at school and when my birthday comes I will be 9 slash 10.

I didn’t argue. His chart is almost entirely cardinal and he runs his own life.

The Soldier’s Mercury In Aries When It’s Had Enough

Astrology in Real Life

ARIES MUG“He did this, and he did this and he did this. And then he did this! So then he sends me this note and it says this, so I wrote him back, I said, screw you.”

I laughed. You did that? You wrote, screw you?” This is basically his boss, by the way.

“Yeah. And then he wrote me back saying, whaaat?”

“What did you do?”

“I wrote him back the same thing. SCREW YOU, except I capitalized it for him.”

I snorted.

“Yeah, I said the same thing but capitalized it and then added his name in parentheses. I wrote you, comma, and then his name in parentheses so he could be sure to know it was him I was talking about.”

“Oh God. Well you’ll probably get away with it. I think that guy likes you. I think he secretly enjoys you and has no idea why. It must be because you’re a bastard.”
