Under The Scorpio Moon: In Certain Circles, To Lack Decorum Is To Risk Your Life
Astrology in real life
I was talking to Annalisa earlier today, running through the litany of things going on in my life. I didn’t mention it, I was so busy mentioning other things but I was aware at the time that historically this is exactly how we interact. It’s not that Annalisa does not has problems but she tends to have ONE that is horrible where as I have several dozen going at once, any one of which would challenge a person.
In whatever case she used this phrase, “stand on decorum” and I don’t know if she realized she was speaking Saturn in Libra but it led me to tell her I get murderously pissed off at the lack of decorum.

Saturn In Libra: Despair Over (Lack Of) Manners?
Astrology in real life
I have noticed a theme around me and the people around me, as well as just noting it at large and I want to bring it out so others out there suffering concerns can know they are not alone, by a shot. Saturn in Libra is causing many to feel insecure and inadequate about social things.
I just got a mail from one of the gals who reads here. She sent me a link to something and then thought it might have been offensive and represented thoughtlessness on her part. It was not thoughtless and I told her so but I want to go further by writing this because I see this happening all over the place. People are just scared to death they suck on the manners front.

Good Manners In 2010: Greeting Cards - Birthday, Christmas, etc - Do You Send And Enjoy Getting Them?
Ask the collective
I don’t think people send greeting cards via snail mail the way they used to. I know some people don’t like e-cards due fear of computer viruses and the like so…
Do you appreciate getting Christmas cards or birthday cards via snail mail? Do you send them yourself? How about e-cards? Is this generational?
Email / texting has pretty much replaced letter writing but how come e-cards have not done the same with paper cards?
This is a Saturn in Libra question. What do “good manners” dictate in 2010?
I just left a comment on friend’s blog. “I am impressed with both your patience and your level of manners”. Manners are a Libra thing and mine are poor.
I think my manners are harmed by having Mars in Libra which only makes sense if you are missing a lobe of your brain since I could just as easy be driven (Mars) to be well mannered but as it turns out I’m not. I am driven to be “fair” so I am not sure why I turned out like other than I am from the desert.
With Mars conjunct Mercury in LIBRA in the 9th house, I think (Mercury) it is polite (Libra) if I tell you the truth (9th house) with an edge (Mars) which is of course not polite at all. ::sighs::
Are you polite? What is you Libra situation?

Continuing… Domesticating Elsa
Also from 2003… Conversation with Jaime early in the relationship. Now keep in mind I grew playing cards like a bat out of hell. I was 19 here. Been living in town for 4 years…
“Do you play cards, honey?” he asked.
“What kind of cards?” I asked.
“Any cards. Poker, spades, hearts, whatever.”
“Yeah. I know those games.”

Sanguine says on Defending Libra:
“I guess I have a way of talking smack and talking straight that conveys my affection and respect for others so that I can do these things without wreaking the havoc of the simply impolite.
Maybe it’s a Mars-Mercury thing you have going on?”
Sanguine, my whole family has a Mars Mercury sig and we used to have a hell of a card game in the desert.

Broadcasting Your Self Esteem - Is This Rude?
Astrology in real life
“…women don’t tend to admit being “pretty good” in our culture.”
No they don’t. Even if the believe it they don’t state it as if it is impolite to have self-esteem. So here I am with Mars conjunct Mercury (loud) in the ninth house (broadcast) in Libra (Venus) and what am I do to? Yell out that I am desirable or pervert my energy?
If you think I should pervert my energy, should I dye my hair too? What else should I do to be more palatable? And why should I do this again?
I think my overt expression of self confidence inspires and allows others to feel good about themselves. If I can get away with feeling really, really good about myself, maybe you can get away with feeling sort of good about yourself and I think this is why Capricorn / Saturn types read here. “She’s got all kinds of audacity, I think I can stick my neck out a little bit further myself…”
Far as I am concerned, someone’s got to be Auntie Mame.

“Yeah, we’ll be at some ball somewhere and some bastard will come up and try to cut in,” the soldier said.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah and that’s when I kill the motherfucker. What the fuck do you think you’re doin’ I’ll ask him? You think you’re gonna dance with her? You’re not dancing with her,” he said, sounding very Italian. “Do I look like the sort of motherfucker you can cut in on?”
I snorted.
“You best get out of here while you can still walk you asshole and don’t think for one second I won’t rip that tuxedo cummerbund motherfucker right off your waist and wrap it around your neck because I will do exactly that.”
“Tuxedo cummerbund motherfucker? Some manners you’ve got.”
“Yeah, manners. I’ll tell ‘em, me and P? We will clear this fuckin’ dance floor for you if you want so you best move your sorry ass along and do your cutting in on some other man. One less likely to kill you for even thinking you can dance with his girl. Yeah P. There is only going to be one name on your dance card - mine!”
Mars speaks. P snorts.
Open Question: Are People’s Manners Improving With Pluto In Capricorn?
Ask the collective
Elsa, do you think Pluto in Capricorn will bring about a revolution in manners? I’m so sick of rude people…but I have noticed as of late that I’m getting more kindness from strangers and that sustains me, believe me!
Or am I just less of an asshole? Heh.
Enjoying Niceness
United States
Dear Niceness,
I don’t think so. I don’t associate manners with Capricorn or revolution with Pluto for that matter. Revolution = Uranus and Manners are Libra ruled. Capricorn wants to “do the right thing” but this is an issue of integrity which has nothing to do with being pleasant.
As far as Capricorn is concerned the “right thing” might be to cut your head off… or better yet, cut you off at the knees so based on this, I would say you were just being less of an asshole. ::smiles::
Anyone else notice manners improving?
