One way to handle today’s sky is just to cop…. to your jealous (Venus Pluto) feelings, that is. I can tell you firsthand it’s enormously liberating when this stuff (that acts like the Hydra), gets air. The soldier availed himself of this recently:

D.K. - What a great question. Personally, I think people have a drive to progress so this only flies in one direction. For example, I can’t imagine a Sadge who wants to be a Virgo, sweating the small stuff. And I can’t imagine a Scorpio who would want to a be a Leo with their desire to be seen, so obvious. Sean Penn’s photo ops being praised by Venezuela’s Chavez come to mind.

But here you are with an opinion contrary and the observations to back it up and it occurs to me that Virgo can feel mentally slow when they meet Gemini who thinks much faster. And maybe Cancer doesn’t want to be soft when they could be hard like Aries…

Dear Jealous,

I do have ideas and they may surprise you; they sure surprised me. When I looked at your chart I expected to see all this twisted stuff but that’s not the problem here. You are almost purely projecting.

With your Sun, Mars and Neptune in Sagittarius, it is you who is the flight risk. It is you who scans the horizon and wonders what else is out there.

With Venus in Aquarius and square Uranus, you are the one highly prone to commitment-phobia and sudden attractions, relationships that start and end very quickly and there are other things all indicating the same flavored thing. So it seems to me what you’re dealing with is fear. Fear these men feel the way you do, which I can pretty much assure you they do not.

I say this with confidence because I look at charts all day and have for about 35 years and it’s rare to come across one with such a prominent theme. It’s like being a redhead, for example. You stand out. And your experience supports my findings. The men don’t cheat and you leave. So how to fix?

I’d say you’ve got a real challenge but the first step would be to realize it is you, not them. Make yourself conscious of your own freedom urge and propensity to look around and see tasty things. And when you see how extreme this is in you, then start coaching yourself to understand that while others feel similar urges from time to time, they feel them at a level of 2 to 3, where you experience this stuff around 8-9 and I can tell you how this works first hand.

I have sexual impulse allllll the time. I literally see men walk by and want to mount them, right there and right then. My drive is fierce. I see sex everywhere as well and I assume men experience this too, which of course makes me feel like you do. Jealous!

But over the years I’ve come to realize that I’m actually more inclined to experience these urges than the average man and hey. I manage to control myself so maybe they can too. Armed with that understanding, I just pick men who are like me - not inclined to betray people - and this works out.

So I think if you increase your awareness and own what is happening inside of you, you’ll have a similar reality emerge. Whatever he may be thinking you’re thinking it times 10 so do you really have to worry about him? Probably not. You can probably stay plenty busy just trying to police yourself.

The comments on the jealousy poll were interesting. I had little awareness that jealousy took so many forms. For example, I have never in my life been jealous of another person’s accomplishments or of their hair, their body or their husband. And so many people mentioned jealousy in this context I actually started to wonder if I were actually jealous or if there might be a better word to describe my lizard feelings… like possessiveness or something like that.

By morning there was such an array of jealous types I decided I’d better look the word up in case I needed to post some kind of retraction and here is what I found from thefreedictionary.com:

1. Fearful or wary of being supplanted; apprehensive of losing affection or position.
2. a. Resentful or bitter in rivalry; envious: jealous of the success of others.
b. Inclined to suspect rivalry.
3. Having to do with or arising from feelings of envy, apprehension, or bitterness: jealous thoughts.
4. Vigilant in guarding something: We are jealous of our good name.
5. Intolerant of disloyalty or infidelity; autocratic: a jealous God.

While I am familiar with all the definitions it is eye opening. Because I was wondering what in astrology rules “jealousy”, I could not come up with it and this explains why.

For example, in my case jealousy is a Mars function. I get pissssssssed off and I act. It follows the soldier would activate this function big time, seeing as my Mars completes his T-square making the Grand Cross. Bottom line, he activates me. But take the AMF.

His Mars was conjunct mine and I had virtually no jealousy of him at all. He routinely had naked women come to his house and pose for him for Godsakes, so explain that!

I think I in my case, if you want to see me jealous, you have to hit my Mars and hit it just right which is very different than having a jealous nature. By nature, I think I am primarily oblivious, not jealous so considering this what do y’all say?

“No, no. She got some kind of dog. A yorkie. I think it was a picture of her dog.”

This time I groaned.

“Look, P, she’s pissing me off. She sent that one thing that made me mad and then she sent another about a week and a half ago saying I didn’t text her back she was going to quit texting me. Well that didn’t last. I didn’t text her back and today she sent this picture. Anyway, P, I am sorry I made you jealous.”

“Right. Ballerinas chasing you. Jesus Christ.”

“Not chasing me. Just yelling at me. And hooting. And yelling. I’d have not even known they were there if they’d not started yelling. Heeeeeeeeey! You got a nice asssss!”

“But hey. I’m jealous of you every day of my life. I am going to be jealous of you when you’re 90. I will still be jealous when we’re 90 and we’re in the old folks home. I’m going to be hitting motherf’ker’s with my cane. You get away from her you old bastard, or I’ll kill you, I swear I will.”

What in your chart explains your jealousy (or lack of it)? Personally, I am freakishly jealous of the soldier like maybe 10 or a 100 times more than I would be typically so I think it’s triggered by the synastry. I don’t really understand it but boy do I flare. I feel just like one of those pissed off lizards being a desert creative and all.
