Lisa Martin Molinari commented on the Gaslighting video (on youtube) regarding people who come on my blog to criticize my (happy) relationship:

“Why do people do this? Is it an insecurity? I would think if they are criticizing your relationship when you are obviously happy, then they must be jealous. I have just gotten rid of several people in my life who are toxic like this. And, I do not miss their friendship…”

Lisa, what a great question. I talk to my friends about this a lot because it happens to me so frequently. Jealousy is one explanation but we have come up with some others. First, I don’t necessarily think the attacks are conscious. It’s very hard to tell. A person pointing out a flaw may actually think they are doing a service and not perceive their comments as an attack. It may be a pure lack of boundaries. On the other hand it could be completely malicious but designed to look otherwise.

The soldier and I have this opposition and I don’t know what to say except we oppose! Yesterday we were waking into the gym, me with my Big hair and him, with his Porky Pig Onion Head. Filing in we passed three women filing out.

“Did you see those girls looking at you?” I said after they’d passed.

“They were looking at you,” he said.

“No, they were looking at you and then they saw me and they quit looking at you which was a damned good choice.”

“P, those girls were lesbians. Obvious lesbians.”

I had no choice but to screw up my face, sneer and raise an eyebrow.

Further comments regarding my recounting of the green skirt in the liquor store episode, it occurred to me when I wrote that piece that it would probably seem to the reader, I had this conversation with the soldier to make him jealous. I realized some would run with this (mis)information but let it go as always. I realized early on if I tried to cover the bases (i.e. my ass), my writing would be boring and you know my family motto, right?  “It is a sin to bore people.”

I was specifically taught this so when I left the blog as-is. After all, it’s only my reputation which has always been good among the good and bad among the bad my whole life long so as you can see my ass is covered.

We went back to the gym two days later with the same plan and no expectation of trouble. The soldier was going to work out with some weights and then swim. I still had reduced energy and we still were going to stay about an hour but had no set time. The soldier told me he’d stop by my cross trainer on his way to the pool so we’d have an idea who was where so we could finish up at roughly the same time same as prior. Once in the gym we took off in opposite direction and again we didn’t touch each other.

I don’t think the soldier and I would be mistaken as brother and sister but he could definitely be a cousin and if I were in the gym guessing, this would be my guess. I would assume he was some kind of visiting family simply because I have gone to this gym for 10 years and never ever with a man but anyway, the first problem was Coffee Date, remember him? I explored the idea of dating him after I broke up with the AMF. I was pretty distraught at the time and told him so but he said we could just go for coffee so we did.

When the soldier moved in a few weeks ago he was around a few days. Long enough he wanted a workout so we went to my gym. We didn’t discuss it other than I knew he was going to work out with some weights and then swim. I was going to get on a crossrtrainer and then go in the steam room in the ladies locker room because I had little energy that day. We did not know how long we’d be there. We figured and hour or so and that was it. We headed out.

We walked inside and split off in different directions. We didn’t touch each other so I have no idea what people thought. Probably nothing as we were there at an odd time rather than my usual so while I recognized some people it was all pretty uneventful.

Dear Moon,

I don’t think the problem is in your chart, it is in hers. You are dealing with someone who is significantly paranoid which is not the fault of the Moon in Pisces. I don’t know what this woman’s problem is but the fact you are feeling the problem is caused by you reflects your own problem and the proclivity to this is very apparent in your chart.

With your Sun in the twelfth house, part of a stellium there it’s a challenge to know where you start and others begin. Virgo Moon is often very self-critical and the fact yours is opposed by Saturn does not help. I would guess this girl has her Pisces Moon on top Saturn in your chart and this leaves you feeling you must be making some kind of error but I am pretty sure (we’ll see by the comments) that it is clear (to others) that this girl has a problem that is completely independent of you.

I am sorry this is probably not much help as it does sound as if you love this girl very much but if she is not willing to discover what is driving her intensely jealous and paranoid feelings then I am afraid you are simply going to be up a creek.
