This is the soldier’s 8th house talking to mine:

“Yeah, well she must have thought I was going to die,” he said talking about his wife when he was in Special Forces. “Everyone else was dying. I think she was banking on it. Get the insurance money, you know? But I just kept coming back, still alive.”

I didn’t answer.

“Yeah. Surely he’s going to die. Everyone else is dying. And they were dying too. They were dying left and right, dropping all around her. So just imagine,” he said.

“Imagine what?”

“Well imagine all these people dying like crazy. Every time you look up someone else is gone.”

“Ugh.”

“Yeah, it was bad. So this was going on and then 12 of us went out and 10 were killed. Only 2 of us came back and I was one of them.” He stopped to chuckle. “I wonder what she thought of that. She must have smacked herself in the forehead. How can this be? How come he never gets killed? Why won’t he… why doesn’t he get killed with the rest of them?” he said, snorting.

“You think that’s funny?”

“Well, yeah. I think it’s sort of funny. Don’t you think it’s funny?”

“You wife wants you to die? No it’s not funny. Well, if someone wants you dead and you’re stubborn and just keep living, I suppose that is funny. But still, to hell with her rooting for you to die. You’re not supposed to be waiting for someone to die so you can be flush. What kind of person does that? A lazy person, I suppose. And a boring person. Because she’s got her life contingent upon yours which is sort of like having no life at all. Meanwhile you’re out there living in full color.”

“Yep.”

Funny thing is, I had someone gamble on my death as well. They literally took out a life insurance policy on me explaining they thought it had good odds to pay off. I was about 20 at the time and there nothing I could do. Fact is you can buy an insurance policy on anyone you want.

It was the insurance guy. He blathered on and on. He cited various things and used a lot of technical language. It was fine because I was not listening to him at all. I’d made a decision, see. I had my Fairy Network number. I was going to state it plainly and let the universe decide. Eventually it was my turn to talk.

“Okay, well that’s all very interesting,” I said. “But here’s the thing. I saw an attorney. And she said she doesn’t even think about taking a case unless there are at least $50,000 in damages and she says I have that” I said. “Easily,” I added. That’s my car. I got in a wreck about two years ago as Jupiter and Mercury squared my Mars (twisted metal) Mercury (transportation) conjunction.

Now I got hurt in that accident and I thought about suing. And in fact I knew if I did, I would win because I always win in court, and I mean always. However, I don’t like it! I hate court and with Venus (money) square Neptune (listless), I am decidedly unmotivated by money, so what to do?
