Learning Via Relationships, Reincarnation, Storytelling And The Art Of War
Astrology in Real Life
Some months ago, I was talking to satori. Saturn (reality) and Neptune (dissolve) were opposite each other. Saturn was transiting my 7th house (learn via relationships).
“I don’t really want to tell you this but eventually I am going to have to or nothing is going to make sense.”
“Go ahead.”
‘Well the soldier has a story… a past life story and its wild. It’s as wild a story as you could get except I think it’s true. For one thing it’s the same story he told me thirty years ago and it’s not the kind of story people run around telling. Oh, you might when you’re young. People do make all kinds of claims when they’re 18 or 19 or whatever. But this is the kind of story if it weren’t true, you’d outgrow it. Um… people try things when they are young. Hairstyles… they try different personas or whatever.”
“Yeah they do.” Continue reading Learning Via Relationships, Reincarnation, Storytelling And The Art Of War

Benjamin Franklin Quote In Support Of Astrology
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…
Chris Brennan asked on the Astro-Facts blog:
“”In America, founding fathers George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin all had personal astrologers. ”
I’m not sure that this is actually true… Has anyone else read this in a reliable source?
This quote showed up on one of the astrology mailing lists over the weekend:
“Astrology is one of the most ancient sciences, held in high esteem of old, by the wise and great. Formerly no prince would make war or peace, nor any general fight a battle, in short no important affair was undertaken without first consulting an astrologer.”
Benjamin Franklin, 1751
Barbara Finch of Feng Shui & Chinese Astrology came up with this link:

Why “Believe” In Astrology? Astro-Facts
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…
I came across this: Why Believe in Astrology?
It’s not the usual fodder… something for your Saturday.
Now that you know a little bit about the ancient lore of studying the stars, you may still be asking yourself, “Why should I believe this stuff?” Ask yourself that question again, after you check out these AstroFacts:
* In 1798, Goethe wrote that astrology is connected with the true sense of poetry, or “some vast cosmic unity.” He believed that the “heavenly bodies” had a great and decisive influence on the weather and plant life.
* Astrology was practiced as a noble art among scholarly men during the Renaissance, and was even offered at college alongside art, science, theology, poetry, architecture, business and politics. It was considered a “highly intellectual pursuit,” and students had to learn to read Latin, Greek and sometimes a third language to interpret charts; they also had to know math well to chart the positions of the planets.
* In America, founding fathers George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin all had personal astrologers.
