Okay, let’s go shopping for the signs! To begin, of course, we must start with the Aries for they would not feel they had their due unless we begin with them, would they?

I’d get my Aries friend a red T-shirt or sweat shirt. Let’s face it, they are going to use it and use it over and over again. A pink red for a light skinned Aries and a blue red for a dark skinned Aries. Remember that if your Aries friend’s hair is dyed to go for a match with the hair, instead of the skin color! If the T says something, even better, but make the statement FIRM, LOUD and STRONG.

1 Minute Astrology - Venus, Neptune, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo

August 19th, 2009 @ 6:42 am by Elsa

4 minutes again

From 2007 - Please excuse the tears in this. I left them in because they are Venus / Neptune of course. Stephen Arroyo’s book is linked below. So is Leonard Cohen’s Energy of Slaves. I think my 8th house is also vividly displayed here. I get pregnant… easy.

UPDATE in 2009, I wound up sending the book of poems to the soldier’s son when he was in Iraq…

How to shop for Taurus, the pickiest sign in the zodiac

wedding-ring.jpgBecca writes on the Pope blog aka my decoy Catholic-ness:

“Didn’t the Soldier think you were Catholic too?”

Becca - Yeah. And then there was the family who gave me an heirloom ring (on the assumption I was Italian, therefore Catholic and going to reform their son). When they found out otherwise, they took the ring back and I mean it came right off my finger.

“We want that ring back. You get that ring and give it back to us….”

The man came to me and told me his mother wanted my ring back so what can a person do? I took it off my finger and gave it to him.

Remember disappearing gifts video? Well here it is again and this video is in line with another thing we’ve been discussing lately, the use of other people’s energy and the concept of putting your own energy out there in trade.

Open Question: Which Is Easier? Giving Or Receiving?

March 30th, 2008 @ 2:35 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

gift.jpgConny asks this question on the Venus Neptune Giving video:

“What is easier, to give without knowing to whom our gift goes, or to receive without knowing where does our gift come from?”

Conny, what a terrific question, thank you. I think both are very easy.

I’ve got no problem giving to whoever - I write this blog don’t I? I give blood. I am on the Nat’l registry to give bone marrow and live in hope I will be called.

Gifts you just get are also very easy to receive.   Like those Elsa’s story cookies I got from a client (Jerri).

What is hard for me is getting a gift that is not a gift, the gift that is given and then taken back. This is like a compliment that comes with a stab in the back you’ve got to ignore. Things like that are very hard. That is terrifically painful as is a gift that hurts someone else.

“You are wonderful, Elsa… but she sucks.”

I don’t really think a comment like that has anything to do with me. I feel I am being used to beat another and I can’t get away fast enough (escape). I just want to run, hide under the bed, get the hell out of there before it gets any worse!  And you?

Which is easier - giving or receiving?

Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo - An Update

March 30th, 2008 @ 8:28 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

piscesVenus is in Pisces today, the sign of it’s exaltation and I thinking on my cross trainer this morning how few people really know how to give a gift. For example any gift with a string attached is not a gift but something grotesque in my mind. It is far worse than giving nothing so I wanted to state this… my opinion and also update what happened with the 2 books I mentioned on the video, Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo

I wound up getting the the Stephen Arroyo book from regular reader here, mega Libran, Becca. Becca is a librarian and somehow this enhanced this for me. Something about getting a book bought for you by a librarian who generally loans books, don’t they? Want a book? Go to the library, damn it! But she made sure I got that book which I enjoyed very much and I intend to write about it first chance I get.

Now the the Leonard Cohen book, I no longer have. I thought I would have it forever as much as it meant to me but in fact I gave it away some months ago.

What happened was the soldier’s son sent an email from Iraq. He was asking for certain things. Things like mouthwash and dental floss and books of course. And being on the road the soldier could not do much to get something together so he asked me to do it for him and I did.

I was stressed and out of time and money at the time so I put together some of everything he asked for, surprised I had everything on the list already onhand in some form.

I then looked around for some books and decided to send him the Energy Of Slaves when I realized it was the best thing I had. So what else would I give him, hmm? I sent that thing and I don’t miss it at all.

Do you know how to give a gift?

Astrology And The Ability To Find The Perfect Gift

February 15th, 2008 @ 4:51 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life…

elsas storyI was floored today when I got this in the mail from a client. It says, “ELSA’S STORY - taste, enjoy, remember”. And guess what’s in there?

COOKIES! A whole bag I presume. ;-)

Can you believe this? How do you find a gift so perfect? I don’t know. I wouldn’t know. I couldn’t come up with something like this if I had a million years to think about it so I looked at this gal’s chart and found this:

Sun Neptune in Scorpio - probably somewhat psychic… was led to this somehow
Moon, Venus, Jupiter in Sagittarius - generous
Mars in Cancer - comfort food

Thank you (name omitted because she’s a Scorp) and here is my wondering:

If you can pull off things like this - how do you do it? How do you find the perfect gift?

Open Question - Valentine’s Day Gift Suggestions By Zodiac Sign

February 12th, 2008 @ 6:38 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

valentines day loversA reader asks:

“Any suggestions on Valentine’s Day gifts for various signs?”

Though it is fine to shop by Sun sign, personally I shop for Venus in a person’s chart because this shows what appeals to them. For example, with Venus in Leo I am not interested in candy. Come get me in a chariot if you don’t mind, which in my case means a motorcycle or a TRUCK. I don’t like traveling in normal vehicles unless undercover. ;-0

What sign are you, where is your Venus and what would you like most for Valentine’s Day?
