Astrology And Happiness: Is Feeling Good In The Genes?
Astrology in real life
Happiness Is In The Genes, Say Scottish Scientists
Jamie Beatson writes:
“Psychologists at Edinburgh University found that inherited genes control up to half of the personality traits that keep us happy.
<snip>
The group were able to identify evidence of common genes that result in certain personality traits, which in turn predispose people to happiness…”

Astrology And Synastry: Generations And Bridges And Multiple Conjunctions Between Charts
Astrology in real life
I am still writing the soldier’s son and it’s been very interesting. I just have no qualms about saying anything because I believe I will be understood.
For one thing, we both know the same person but besides that the astrology does make you do a double take. Moons conjunct. Ascendants conjunct. My Mars Mercury in Libra conjunct his Venus in Libra.
There is also a Jupiter Neptune conjunction across the charts and his Chiron is conjunct my Ceres.
Can you believe this?

Jupiter, Saturn And Generations Of Storytellers
Astrology in real life
Regarding my communication with the soldier’s son…
“What pictures are you sending?” he asked.
“Oh, for one I am sending the one of us dressed up in the old time clothes.” (We are 17 and 19 in the picture)
“Oh my God. He’ll be shocked to see me in that Yankee uniform,” he said.

Astrology And The Generations: From Horoscope for the New Millennium by E. Alan Meece
Outtakes and various other sundries…
This is enormously interesting:
It’s an excerpt from “Horoscope for the New Millennium” by E. Alan Meece.
From the intro…
Meece writes:
“People who are born and grow up in roughly the same period of history share many characteristics. Their attitudes are formed by common experiences…”
He goes on to outline the generations - here’s a sample:
“The flaming wits,” 1898-1904 (Generation T-b) (Uranus in Sagittarius opposite Pluto in Gemini; Neptune in Gemini and Cancer) Many revolutionaries come from this group, along with many free-wheeling spirits. They were the “flaming youth” of the roaring 20s. Quite irrepressible, they made great actors and writers. Examples: Louis Armstrong, Humphrey Bogart…”
Or how about this:
“The rebels without a cause,” 1930-35 (Generation V-b) (Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Cancer; Neptune in Virgo) This is an unpredictable, sometimes wild and explosive group that provided the leaders of the “Beat Generation.” They make innovative, caring leaders, but often lack specific goals and are insecure or unsure of their direction. It is the first generation born after Pluto’s discovery, so it and succeeding groups are sometimes less wedded to ancient traditions. Examples: Marshall Applewhite, Mario Cuomo, James Dean, Michael Dukakis, Mikhail Gorbachev…”

Defining The Pluto in Scorpio Generation
Astrology in Real Life
Neith asks:
“Say, speaking of Scorpio, i would love to have your take on the Pluto in Scorpio generation, “hooking up”, piercings, tattoos, etc. Were these kids the catalyst for these trends?”
What occurs to me is that they are psychologically sophisticated. For example my 11 year old daughter today offered her analysis of one of her bullies:
“Her parents keep separating, getting back together, separating and getting back together. I am sure she’s angry and maybe this is why she comes to school and calls people names…”
And what about the whole “emo” thing? So much for putting your fresh perfect face out there like it’s the 50’s and everyone is happy! Feeling states are not only acknowledged, they are respected. You are supposed to have pain for chrissakes!
What do you notice about the Pluto in Scorpio generation?

Astrology and Hipsters On Scooters vs Hippies in Volkswagons: Pluto in Leo, Virgo and Libra
Astrology in Real Life
I’m back from getting my scooter serviced, I bought it the premier scooter shop here, Sportique, where everyone working there is steeped in this culture. Hipsters, I guess they’re called but whatever they are, I like them. I like their sideburns and their self esteem. They remind me of the hippies of the 60’s who also had costumes and a preferred mode of transport, the VW van.
The first is the Pluto in Libra generation, the hippies had Pluto in Leo but what about my generation with Pluto in Virgo? We don’t seem to have distinguished ourselves in this way. Perhaps we have and I am too immersed to see it but when I think of Pluto in Virgo, we seem to be the ones who are messing with genetics. You know. We’re trying to perfect the human race and cure all these ills. We’re sort of these scary do-gooders or something and I don’t know what to say except I’m one of them.
To what generation to you belong and do you feel you relate?

Art, Astrology, and the Uranus Transit Through Pisces: Leonard Cohen and the Pluto Uranus Conjunction of the 60’s Generation
Ask the Collective…
My friend, satori is a Pisces born in the sixties with the Pluto Uranus conjunction in Virgo opposing her Sun. With Uranus transiting Pisces, I have been witnessing her liberation and kickin’ it up a gear whenever I think I can.
“Well I think you should check out some of this stuff that was born when you were. The art, I mean. The creative stuff. And I mean get the purest stuff you can find. Like Leonard Cohen’s poetry from the era. It’s very potent. He writes about taboo sex. He writes this stuff and he does not screw around. He puts it right on the paper, the energy of your generation in just a very few words. And for me it’s one thing. For you it would be another, but I do think it would impact you, because it is you. The poems were born when you were born and you share something with them.” Continue reading Art, Astrology, and the Uranus Transit Through Pisces: Leonard Cohen and the Pluto Uranus Conjunction of the 60’s Generation

Astrology Describing A Person’s Energy: Do People Born Close Together Have Traits In Common?
Astrology in Real Life…
Strawberry Fields comments on the astro-twin blog:
“I don’t think age has anything to do with having “much in common”, and Marly agrees…
I heartily disagree. The baby-boomers (with Pluto in Leo) have something in common the next generation with Pluto in Virgo do not. So that’s a large group of people with a slice of life in common and as you narrow the group (as the birthdays are nearer each other) the slice of life the people share, grows.
Now in the case of astro-twins, or people born very close together… when two people have most their planets in common, they are going to have similar tastes (Venus) ways of getting what they want (Mars)… ways of communicating (Mercury) and just in general living (Sun).
Further, whatever aspects dominate one chart will dominate the other and the way you interact with one of the people will be very similar (not same) to the way you interact with the other because the contacts between your chart and theirs are the same and I have three examples.
I had incredible other-worldly chemistry with the guy in the Little Mike story (Scorpio Moon) and have the same chemistry with the AMF (Aquarius Moon).
The SF guy (Scorpio Moon) and the Salesmen (Aquarius Moon) both hunt me… and flare me up, piss me off, etc. (they activate my Mars). And there is another pair…
My life long friend, Leon is a Libra with a Scorpio Moon. I met him when I was dating his friend who was born a few days later than him the same year… Libra with an Aquarius Moon. And I have similar experience with both of them, that is, I find them both ultra-hip.
For 25 years I have felt like a wide-eyed girl from the desert just getting introduced to life when I interact with Leon, which is similar to my experience when dating his friend years ago… the guy who got me on my first plane in “A Jupiter Story For Y’all”. They both seem just a tad out of my reach somehow as if I am mixing with royalty or some other elevated persons whose party I have crashed!
Now I think the reason people resist the idea people are similar like this is the same reason they reject astrology in general. It’s because they want to be recognized as individuals. They don’t want to feel as if a drawing on a piece of paper can describe them, however it can!
And this has nothing to do with how a person expresses their energy! As I have said many times, energy is NEUTRAL until directed. But the fact that astro-twins and others born close together (same year, same generation) have similar energy is absolutely undeniable. I mean, if this is not so, I may as well discard all these charts I have been looking at for 30+ years!
Do you notice similarities in people close in age?
