My friend and astrologer, Claire-France Perez said something interesting to me last night. She is a double Gemini so she can’t help but be interesting.

“You don’t live in the world of agreement, sweetheart. You live by your heart…”

I can’t quote her fully because I can’t remember her words verbatim but she was essentially saying that I did not do things so I could get along.

“You don’t care if you get along with anyone, you care that you do what is right to you, in your heart.”

“Err…”

“Don’t worry about,” she said. “There is no other way you could possibly be.”

I chuckled nervously because I was busted and later I tried to remember a time when it was any other way but I could not.

I am not sure what I would ascribe this to. Venus in Leo (heart) raised by Aquarians (make your own rules)maybe?

Yes. It sounds like this:

“Yeah, sorry about that. I didn’t want to tell you at the time because of this and this and this reason…”
Or, “Yeah, sorry Mom. I know I shouldn’t lie but I thought you might be mad if you found out so I just told you this instead. Do you forgive me?”

And the fact is I do forgive her (and him) and some other truth-telling liars in my life. Because I know as a matter of fact that lying is part of the package and lecturing or trying to control the natural nature of someone is a ridiculous pursuit. I also know there is a shadow side to constant, consistent, relentless truth-telling.

See, I grew up with both of these. One of my sisters is a double Sagittarius. The other has a Sagittarius Moon conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius but she also has Venus in Gemini and that sister would consistently lie then confess, lie then tell the truth, lie than tell the truth and then lie and confess. “I have to tell you I was lying when I said that,” she’d say. Hah!

Meanwhile my other sister would never lie. You got the truth, the truth, the truth, the truth until you wanted to hide under the bed to escape it! So fact is there is no perfect way to be so intention becomes key.

We were in the doctor’s office waiting for my daughter to have her EKG. She was sitting on the exam table, I was sitting in a chair. It had been awhile so deciding to relax, I kicked off my sandals, and propped my feet on the table. My daughter laughed and started rubbing them which she never does.

“Does the soldier rub your feet like this, Mom?”

“No, I rub his.”

“You do?” she said with her eyes wide.

“Yeah.”

“Ooooh. Are they blown up and scorched from the war?” she asked.

“What?”

“Are his feet blown up and scorched from the war, I asked you.”

I stared at her. “You’re too fast for me, honey. I don’t even know if you’re kidding but no. His feet are normal with no scorch marks or missing bits that I’ve noticed.”

“Okay, good. Whew!” she said with a devilish grin.

I am pretty sure she was jerking my chain but you never know.

“cf, its dog. How are you?” I asked.

“I’m good, dog. I’m great. How are you girlfriend?”

“Aaaah. I’m calling you for some gossip. Got some?”

She laughed. “Gossip?”

I don’t usually ask for gossip. In fact, I have never asked for gossip, I am known for blood and guts and sex and jokes. But these days I have a Progressed Gemini Moon.

“Yeah. I want to distract myself from my life for a minute.”

She snorted. “You just can’t help yourself can you?”

“Help myself what? What do you mean? I am calling a double Gemini for some gossip. This is normal, right? Oh my God, it makes sense to me.”

We proceeded to get cut off… Mercury retrograde.

Unable to reestablish contact, I called Alexa. She’s also a double Gemini… Cancer Moon square Uranus.

“Alexa, it’s me. This is Elsa. Do you have any gossip?”

“Gossip?”

“Yeah. I need a distraction from my life so I was hoping you have some gossip from yours. You have that whole family of freaks. Anyone doing anything? Someone must be up to something. Aren’t they? Anyone getting in trouble or have something great going on? Tell me about it, would you?”

I am inordinately sensitive to the sign of my Progressed Moon. Each time it changes signs, my entire personality shifts and I feel driven from my core to express the qualities of the sign.

I was surprised by the opinions expressed on the blog about the women who were fired for gossiping. I like being surprised.

Last night I was talking to my pal who has the two people geared up to run around their small town talking about her… or trying to. Personally I don’t think anyone is going to listen to them. I am not a gossip and chock this up to Mercury in the 9th house which is going to broadcast rather than whisper behind your back.

Last night I was explaining to my friend that I made the decision not to talk about people when I was very young. I was 12 or so and reading advice on how to live well because this has always been an interest of mine. I came across a bit about how to handle people who were talking about others, assuming it made you uncomfortable which in my case it does. The book said you should interrupt and tell the person, “It’s funny you say that because they always say such nice things about you…”

Reading that I decided to never put myself in a situation where someone could or would have to say something like that to me.

I am also meeting Gemini! They have so many ideas. They hook you up with their ideas in such rapid fashion it takes me a few days to catch up and catch on after a session.
