Try As I Might, It’s Just Not Possible To Actually Grow Up: Mars Mercury, Loose On Tucson
Astrology in real life…
The soldier on the phone today…
“Yeah, P, I’m in the desert and I am remembering things. Do you remember when we’d go to that sub shop by the University?”
“I do.”
“Yeah, that sub shop. This was before Subway and all that. We had that little backpack thing to carry stuff on the bike. Remember? It was not a backpack, just a small bag like a backpack, except you just put it on your one shoulder.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah and when you got the sandwiches they’d be sticking up out of that thing when you got on the bike. We’d take them home to eat. You’d have on the green flight jacket and your yellow pants of course. You wouldn’t even take your helmet off to order them. You’d just walk up to the window and flip the visor up.”
“Hurry home so I can have sex?”
“Yeah, probably.
I laughed. ‘I can remember that exactly. I remember how we felt; I am telling you I was getting the food so we could go home and screw. I don’t know what you were doing. We were like aliens or something. Aliens moving around in the desert, leave the helmet on when you deal with the locals. No need for them to know what we’re up to.”
“Yeah we aliens but I miss those days, riding around with those sandwiches sticking up. It was wonderful, ahhh.”
You can just tell my (Mars Mercury) motor is racing while his (Mars, Mercury, Saturn) putt putts. I always wind up looking at him thinking I ought to grow up too but I just can’t.
Do you feel childlike next to others?

Astrology and Diet - The Taurus / Scorpio Opposition Diet
Astrology in real life…
Dreamsareality asks regarding the soldier’s eating habits:
Has he tried the low-carbs diet or Carb-addicts diet? Lotsa food!
Sounds like he’s active enough to burn it all off - and that’s great, but what fun is it to eat and not be full??
Actually, the solider doesn’t have a lick of fat on him anywhere and he never has. He is on the Taurus Sun opposite Scorpio Moon diet which means on Taurus days he eats like a glutton and I mean, he eats and eats and eats, then the Scorpio kicks in and he doesn’t eat so much as a scrap for a day or more…
“Eat!” I say.
“P, I said I’m not hungry so quit asking me if I want some food. If I want some food, I’ll let you know.”
ha ha ha.
You can see how this served him when he was in Special Forces. He could go a couple days crawling on his belly through the jungle… every once in awhile eat a bug and call it good. ![]()

Astrology - Short and Sweet: Food Is Love For Taurus
Astrology in Real Life
The soldier, a Taurus and P… confused over the weekend under the Venus Neptune opposition.
“Well I love you,” I said.
“I know that. I know you love me, P.”
“How? How do you know that?”
“You got me this pizza,” he said.
“What?”
“I know you love me ‘cause you got me a pizza,” he said with a snort. “Men are simple, P.”

How Saturn in Virgo (Healthy Eating) Dovetails With Pluto In Capricorn (The Shadow Side of the Father / Parenting)
Ask the collective
I was thinking about all this pre-packaged food and how it’s not so “Virgo” considering all the packaging. But it is Virgo when it come to efficiency and I’m thinking more and more of us will be looking for healthy (or healthier) fast food. And one of the reasons why dovetails with Pluto going into Capricorn.
With Pluto going into Capricorn, the shadow side of the father will come to light. And like it or don’t there is one and it’s huge, most noticeably in the fact so many fathers are absent. I think over half the kids live with single parents now (generally the mother) but the figure is misleading.
At my son’s age (8) there are some families still in tact, but by the time most kids reach my daughter’s age (12) they have been through (at least one) divorce. So what is the single mother to do?
The Virgo in their 20’s will say eat organic! Cook fresh food. That’s fine if you’ve got the time but what if you’re a mother trying to care for your children while you hold down a job? Good luck!
So for these people… mothers who call for pizza or rely on McDonalds for dinner, the availability of a packaged salad it a boon. Pre-washed lettuce, laced with chemicals is not organic lettuce not laced with chemicals but what should she do? Go to the farm? As it is she only sleeps 5 or 6 hours a night and it’s been going on for years…
Meanwhile where is Dad? Some of them pay child support and see their children but many do not. So while Saturn in Virgo pressures everyone to improve their diet, I think the availability of these “better for you” convenience foods is a boon and not just for parents.
With the shift to the earth signs we are all going to be working more than we have in the recent pass and it’s not such a bad idea to have your lunch thought out for you… portioned and ready to go.
What do you think? Can you see an upside to all this pre-packaged portion controlled food?

Taurus - Their Greed, Their Food, Their Appetite
Astrology in Real Life…
You hear sometimes that Taurus is embarrassed of their greed. This is true, especially when it comes to food. For example, if eating out with a Taurus, it’s important their food is better than yours, less they get pissed off.
They won’t say anything of course. Taurus appreciates grace and tries to be pleasant at all times but you can just tell. Like when I went to a Chipotle with a Taurus, once. That’s the place with the giant burritos. McDonalds bought them and I think these restaurants all over now but this was a dozen years ago when they new and it was his first time there. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, he ordered the chicken. I saw him very slightly raise his eyebrow at me and I knew he was thinking I lacked taste.
So our food was served and my food was twice as big as his. I saw the shock and horror cross his face before he was able to collect and console himself. I could tell what he was thinking too. Mine was big but surely his would be more flavorful. But it wasn’t. He took a bite of his chicken burrito and it was clear he was disappointed. You can tell when Taurus is disappointed in the food in their mouth because they look just like a bull who has been clubbed over the head. Meanwhile, my food was great and I was raving about it so I offered him a taste and he accepted it.
My burrito really was lovely, he agreed and when I saw him glance down at his own meal, he was so plainly distressed that I had no choice but to trade plates with him. I didn’t ask. I just took his plate and gave him mine and you should have seen him. He was visibly relieved. Whew! That was close. Almost had to eat inferior food. And this is why Taurus likes Elsa, by the way. I understand what is important to them (food and sex)… ha ha ha.
Can you relate?

Jupiter in Sagittarius: Solve My Jackfruit Mystery and Help Me Expand
Ask the Collective
I have Jupiter in aspect to my Moon so with Jupiter in Sagittarius it follows I would expand via FOOD and sure enough this has occurred. I have learned to cook Asian, something that previously seemed out of reach and I can manage chopsticks now… fluently, thanks to HQ (1/2 Japanese) and his wife (Korean) who insisted I try when I visited them in New York.
Today I was back shopping Har-Mart, the Asian grocery superstore. Remember the Asian gal who quizzed me over the spaghetti squash in my cart? She wanted to try something new. She wanted to learn to cook something exotic to her and hitchhiking on this, since meeting here, every time I hit this store I try to leave with something new (to me).
So today the jackfruit caught my eye. They sell cut into chunks and I’m very curious about it. There is an international audience her so can someone tell me how to cook and/or consume jackfruit?
Tell me and we’ll all know - Thanks.
