Astrology, Thanksgiving And Appetite: Where Is Your Moon?

Astrology in real life

turkey-ck-780346-l.jpgSpeaking of me (earthy) vs the intellectuals (Airy), one year, we had an all-girl Thanksgiving. My double Aquarius friend Kay hosted the event. Her double Gemini friend and my daughter (a baby at the time) attended and we had a blast.

We cooked all day… sort of. The Gemini showed up with freeze-dried potato mix which she prepared with a cigarette hanging from her mouth while telling jokes and talking about men. She looked right out of a movie so you know I loved that.

Voice Of Mars: Eating Sushi Off A Naked Woman’s Body

Astrology in real life

naked_food_sushi_2.jpg“Yeah, there are places you can go and eat your food off a naked woman’s body,” I told the soldier. “She just lies there and you eat off her stomach.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me?”

“No, they’ve got that. I think they have that here, actually. Denver’s got some place you can go do that.”

“Oh my word. I’d like to see someone eat off a rhino’s body.”

“Do you think someone would want to?”

“Probably. People mess with rhinos all the time. Do that to me they’re going to have a hard time though.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah, I could sell tickets to see what I’d do to someone trying to eat their lunch off me.”

“Hmm. Yeah, I pay to see that.”

Dining With Taurus… The Soldier’s Lament

Astrology in real life

chocolate-pecan-pie.jpgThe soldier is eating low carb these days and has lost 12 pounds. He looks HOT but claims he has lost a third of a pound. I have been in charge of finding cooking and finding recipes over the last month but now he is getting involved. (swearing below the break)

Dining With Taurus and their Greed - Redux

chocolate chipOne time I was dating a Taurus Moon, which is worse than a Taurus Sun when it comes to food. I baked him some chocolate chip cookies. Actually, I baked him cookies every few days because he was eating them four in the morning, four at work and four in the evening. He was limiting himself to 12 cookies a day. And the point is, there was not a cookie shortage. He was 40 years old, though it does not sound like it, does it?

Anyway he was taking his cookies to work, and several weeks went by. Taurus has habits and this had become a routine. So he came home one day and told me people at work were talking about his cookies.

“Like what?” I asked. “What did they say?”

Dining With Taurus… And Their Greed

Astrology in real life

chipotleYou hear sometimes that Taurus is embarrassed of their greed. This is true, especially when it comes to food. If you eat out with a Taurus, it’s important their food is better than yours, or they’ll get pissed off.

They won’t say anything of course. Taurus appreciates grace and tries to be pleasant at all times, but you can just tell.

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: The Weekend Update

Astrology in real life

elsa-underage-bartender.jpgIf you are following my saga, you know last week I bought a pressure cooker, necessary to cook the soldier’s home food. This weekend I am going to cook a chicken dish he is craving - he called him mother who relayed the complex process over the phone.

The dish takes 2 hours to prepare according to one of his sisters… she methodically gave him the instructions while he relayed them to me with a pen in my hand. Why he acted as translator, I don’t know but I do know it doesn’t matter because the soldier’s mother can do no wrong as far as I am concerned.

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: Pressure Cooker, I Think I Can Explain

Astrology in real life

like-water-for-chocolate.jpgmabelle writes on the Pressure Cooker bit:

“It *is* funny, elsa! I had the same thought as satori straight away… I’m not sure I would call it transparent, but it fits with the situation perfectly - I’m surprised you hadn’t realised the connection before Satori pointed it out. Anyway, better to channel the pressure into a pot on the stove than letting your head explode.”

mabelle - I think you’re pretty new around here, welcome!  I think this whole scene is a great example of how Pluto works. My little trip to buy a pressure cooker was so steeped in meaning… well if you had any idea how much I was actually processing as I pulled into the parking lot and parked (this is when satori made the comment) it would be easy to see how I’d miss the obvious.

Astrology And Diet - Limit Your Food - How Depressing!

Astrology in real life

diet spelled in vegetables healthySaturn is in Virgo and everyone is feeling pressured to control their diets… some more than others. The soldier has the double whammy (Saturn in Virgo transiting the 6th house) so he is particularly affected.

Saturn transits force change in a slow and steady manner and we started working on his diet some months ago. It’s been successful. He was on medication and on the verge of diabetes.

His current blood work is much improved and it’s a relief seeing as he has had a family member suffer amputation due diabetes. He is now on a lessor medication but he would like to avoid all consequences of this condition if possible so further adjustments are on the horizon.
